As a person with the iPhone 14 ProMax, my phone could take 27W at a time and it with a fast charger it charges right away except for the last 20% which iPhone slow it down and do you have to keep it cool

There’s a thing about iPhone’s charging. The phone charges quickly till 80% then it slows down to keep the battery healthy and also because people tend to randomly pick the phone during charge, so it prevents the battery from fluctuating charge.

Fact: the iPhone still lasts longer

No duh, the iPhone 14 uses Lightning, which is notoriously slow when it comes to charging, while the Samsung Galaxy S23 uses USB-C, which charges MUCH faster. Which is why I simply won't miss Lightning and I'm so grateful that Apple finally gave in and is putting USB-C on their iPhones now, now all they need to do is offer super-fast charging like Samsung does and iPhone users will be all set. (And btw, I'm not an iPhone user and never have been, I've seen what they're like and have been hearing from iPhone users about their own grievances with it including how slow it is to charge their iPhones, so instead I've been using straight-up Android since 2015 when I got my first smartphone, the LG Escape 2, fell in love with the Android operating system and have been happily sticking with Android ever since, in fact I'm currently using my newest phone, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ which I pre-ordered and got back in February!)

Btw apple could charge fast but by looking at the s23 it doesn’t have battery life extending features. If you don’t know apple slows down or direct the power directly to its components when above 80% and below 20% it slows its power consumption. These are features to help preserve the batteries life by not stressing it to much during these two times as this is when the battery changes shape the most.

I *heard* that this has to do how quick the battery also unloads. This means: Faster Charging = Faster unloading again. Not sure why and if it actually is true, but I got told by someone who knows what he‘s talking about when it comes to tech

yeah that's because the lightning Port has a few different limitations although I will say at the time it was better than micro-usb or 30 pin but as soon as USB type-c was a thing it was immediately made obsolete and its USB 2.0 transfer speeds

The reason why it's faster is because USB C is WAY faster than the lightning cable. Also, the iPhone 15 won't charge as fast as Samsung even though it has USB C because they use a charger port that samsung used in 2013, so no fast and super fast charging like samsung.
