Bet you didn't know that you can set up Samsung's own version of the iPhone's Dynamic Island! Here's how you do it! This is easily one of my favourite S24 Ultra tips and tricks!
I agree. It seems like everyone in the comments completely missed the point of dynamic island. It's supposed to be something interactive that stays there, so you can tap it and do stuff with it. This is simply a notification popup (and it doesn't even use the camera cutout, which is the sole purpose dynamic island was created for).
@@Fapados123 And Samsung’s pill notifications are basically a notification but tiny and barely readable the concept of that whole notification drawing down from the top was taken from iOS when Google announced Material Design 1.0 anyway.
Dynamic island is a marketing gag to hide the fact that the iphone still needs a huge display cutout for its Face recognition. Its a simple software feature which can be achieved on literally ANY phone.

As a samsung user we dont need the dynamic island. Dynamic island is a cool iphone feature but we dont need it. Its so many different features that sansung has that gives samsung its own uniqueness
@PFnove you can get it through an app. As a samsung user I don't want any iphone features. I don't want anything that resembles or copies iphone. That's what makes sansung unique. I just like being different.
I’ve been with Apple for years, and have since just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and to see how much customisation there is mad! Really looking forward to having my hands on that phone.
Favorite feature is to see the Andromeda Galaxy with the Galaxy S24 camera, in the near future with upcoming Smartphones we will be able to see the city lights of Proxima B!😅
yes, but it stays only for a few seconds, so when the screen is off, you won't noticed a notification unless you turn on the display - that's why is better to have LED flash over this
I know its already been commented a thousand times but I got my first samsung 5 years ago and notifications already came set up that way out of the box
you guys are completely missing the point tho, apple has only had it for 2 years and its exponentially more interactive and more informative, the island on iphone actually shows you information and, gives you quick controls or will actually show the notification; not just flashing lights around the screen (which iphones have been able to do through settings for awhile now)
Non of this is new to Samsung they've been loading there phones with these features. I'm on a s21 ultra and I remember my note 10 having these same features. This is only new to people that use iPhones that don't know your phone should just come packed with these intricate customizations to enhance the experience.
right but this is completly different to what apple's island is. And with apples only being out for 2 years now its exponentially better, actually giving you quick controls and information

never used that feature when I had a Samsung. i personally think dynamic island is better then this. As its still below the samsung camera instead of next to the camera like on the iphone
During the first time I introduced with pop up notification I hate it because it's blocked the display during gaming, watching movies or youtube. I liked the old android style, the status bar will automatically visible for 2sec and you will see the notification incoming without interrupting your view. But now pop up notification, dynamic Island, ugh..
I mean a bubble for notifications and a dedicated media/live activity/notification/etc. a dynamically changing bar are not really the same thing. But it’s an iPhone thing, Samsung has all of their cool things like 100x zoom, s-Pen, faster charging, heck foldable phones in general. So instead of trying to say it’s the same thing let Apple have their unique features and let Samsung and androids as a whole have their stuff.
This is not really the same AT ALL for the dynamic island 💀 Dynamic Island actually has a purpose and you can interact with it where in samsung, that’s just basically a notification animations which is kinda useless
