Went from a old school S10 plus to the onyx black S24 plus and been loving it since... and plan to keep it for many years.. not one to have to keep getting a new phone every year..
Been using Samsung for more than a decade. They're all long term phones where each one has lasted me 5 or more years *without* changing my batteries (a testament to how well Samsung phones are made) . I started with an S4, then an A9 and just switched to the S24 Plus a couple of days ago.
I really do enjoy my S24 Plus and the battery life has been excellent. I use both the 24 Plus and the Pixel 8 Pro, I work the late morning shift and both phones are fully charged. By the early evening the 24 Plus is at 64% battery life and the 8 Pro is at 46%. Great video thanks!
Hi @@syedtayyab5142 It's not bad actually. I had Galaxu A31 and of course that phone last longer because I was always using it on power saving mode. For S24+ I don't turn on power saving mode and it lasts all day long without a problem. The thing is I realised Instagram using way too much from battery. 1 hour on Instagram and batter down by %12. 1 hour on Netflix and down by only %5. Other than that I think phone is great.
Ive been holding off on upgrading to a new phone since my note 20 was working perfectly for me for the longest time. The difference in refresh speed and the performance of my s24 makes it far preferable to use and so far the battery is doing fairly better. Im glad that I took the plunge, this phone is far nicer and lighter-weight overall.

I got the S24 2 months ago as a replacement for my huawei p30. I usually get around 7+ hours of sot with 20% - 25% battery left at the end of the day.
Left the iPhone 15 Pro after years of Android and came back to the S24 Plus -- so happy I switched. Miss the iPhone / Pixel quality cameras, but this phone is honestly the perfect winner of the S24 series. You get all the glory of the "big screen", MOST of the same camera system, and none of the uncomfortable boxiness and unnecessary SPen that comes with the Ultra. To each their own, but I really think this is the sweet spot.
I feel like with android phones now having longer software support, I think it's now time for companies to lengthen the warranty on these to 2-3 more years
I have 2 work profiles on a phone, a lot of encryption, corporate VPNs and stuff happening in background, screen time more than 7 hours a day and S24+ goes through a day and night without a problem. S22 ultra I had before was really struggling to survive the day after a year of use.
I just want to point out that the battery on these phones improve over time if you enable adaptive battery and follow a set schedule of sleep , work and app usage. Most reviewers don't spend enough time on these phones to reap any benefit from the adaptive battery. I've had this phone for over 3 weeks now and the battery has improved dramatically.
Just upgrade my purple S9 to Black Onyx S24 plus a week ago. I am very happy with my choice. My whole family are iphone users and tried to get me to switch. Loving this S24 plus.
4:26 awesome (sarcasm) translation! “If you are not the arcade” because English has no difference in the verb “to be” when someone or something is permanently and always is or just is temporarily or at, while português has “ser” and “estar
@s_playz3818 I got mine from Verizon, and I could definitely get about 7 hours SOT on my s23+ on the regular. If I pushed it, I would get 6. Some days, I got 8 hrs SOT with like 12 hrs total. My s24+ easily gets 8 and half hours SOT with like 14 to 15 hrs total, and that's with heavy usage and max settings. I can easily get 9 to 10 hrs out of the s24+.
I was on the fence on whether I should get the new S24Ultra. With the life of the battery that would probably be the only reason to upgrade. I vlog a lot on my phone so the video component is a must. Thanks for a Great Review!!!
Great Video I just got my s24 ultra last Monday, loving it so far, switched from apple had in iphone 12 pro, I like to change every few years lol. Oh Battery, So i started around 8am at 99 percent and ended the day at 12am at 34 percent, not too bad id say.
Watching CNET's cool review of the S24 and S24 Plus. Plus, it's nice to know that some sample acts being done on the latest non-Ultra Samsung top-tier smartphones are included, too!
S24 Ultra Light Green 1TB connected to My delivery van through Bluetooth. Connected to my Watch 6 Classic at the same time. Battery lasts about 12 hours but I am playing RU-vid or listening to audio books the whole time. I LOVE IT🎉
I have the S24 and find the cameras on it to be more than good enough for any kind of photos I take. My previous two phone were the iPhone 12 mini and the Samsung Note 10 for reference, and I find the S24's cameras to be a marked improvement over both, despite the cameras on those phones still being quite decent even by today's standards. Those knocking the S24 cameras are mainly talking about extreme situations where you take photos in very dim conditions or similar, and even then the difference between the image quality produced by the S24 compared to the phones that are considered the best would only be visible if your print poster sized pics. For all the ways the vast majority of people take/consume photos/videos, the S24 is on par with the best phones currently available. I have friends with current Pixels, iPhones, etc. and we often take pics/vids of the same events which we later share; never found that the S24's image quality was any less than what their phones produced.
96% on my Samsung Galaxy S24 SM-S921U. I've owned the Samsung Galaxy S series in order.... S2, S4, S7 Edge, S9+, S10+ and most recently my S21 Ultra... I shattered the screen on the that last phone about a year ago & have been using budget entry level phones for about a year, until 3 days ago when I went out & picked up a S24 128GB, 8GB. Now I am right at home with all the flagship features I've missed. I would have loved to get my hand on the S24 Ultra but that was not on promotion so was out of budget. I am grateful though.
Started my day at 7:45 AM using a galaxy S23 ultra and now at 8:25 PM battery life is still at 76% it's a fantastic phone, I just don't see any reason to update yet, just hope that the next software update will include all of the amazing S24 futures
I just bought this phone and so I watched your video it was a great video really good job reviewing this phone so thank you very much it's 6:00 pm and my battery is at 93% LOL I took it off the charger at 9:00 a.m.
Interesting video. However, I own an S24+ and found the battery is not up to heavy usage. I use the phone as an Uber driver. When driving I will have three apps running: Uber, Waze’s and SiriusXM. Several times the battery drained from about 80% to 0%. I have the phone plugged into my car data USB port for connectivity and charging, however, sometimes the phone shows slow charging. Still even at slow charging I don’t think the phone should drain as it does. Een when not in use the battery drains quicker than in the video. By the video the battery should last even when not charging. Haven’t tried the camera yet, but I plan to use the phone camera along with a Sony A6600 to compare the quality of the phone camera. I also want to try to use the AI Translator. At this time I will give the S24+ four stars because of the battery.👍
These two seem very solid. Love the scene with SF2 in the background! Fold5, started my day with 85%, currently down to 72% with mixed use of inner/outer display.
Thanks for reviewing these models, I like the ultra but always go for the smaller versions. They're more pocketable and don't hurt my wallet as much. The AI camera features are pretty cool. Battery on my S23 is at 81%. I just finished charging it and use the limit the charge to 85% feature. With that I get about a day and a half of use.
Currently on pixel 7 pro. Just bought a 24+ and will be trading in the 7pro. I'm kind of tired of lacking features and better hardware, though I've been a Google user since the galaxy Nexus. They used to be incredible, but now it's so vanilla and the performance and battery are so lackluster I'm switching to galaxy.
Circle to search is basically just google lense on other android phones and it works just the same except for the circling part. You can swearch anything on your screen with google lens and select which part of the screen to search.
Had an issue with the smart switch for the S24 plus all of my pics and vids are all doubled after transfer from s20fe with sd card. Did it 2x still the same after factory settings. Tried cable then it worked but not all apps and files are transfered... so did the rest manually. After that everything is really good. Battery and camera is empressive also the AI is pretty good. Starting to like it better than the S20fe. Just the lack of memorycard is annoying. I got it for $800 to trade for s20fe. Oh yeah around 30% left battery at 930pm... not 120hz just standard and default resolution.
I love my samsung galaxy a52 5g phone and battery percentage is at 98% and I stream alot of RU-vid video and play games with this phone and listen 2 music all in one day and the battery life is really really good no laggs at all very fast responses with the Snapdragon Gen 8 and 2 processor ain't bad very good I like it
Day 3 of my S24+ with the Exynos 2400 and with usage so far (~3.5hr SOT) it's telling me at 90% battery will last me 21.5hrs. Still have my doubts on Exynos but let's see how the battery goes after it learns my usage patterns.
I think it takes a few days for your phone to learn your patterns. Having said that my S24+ gave me 2 days straight out of the gate. The best battery life I've ever had of any phone. My OnePlus 12 is giving me 1.5 days. I've been using that a little less then 1 week.
Had the S24 Ultra for about a week. Last 3 days, the phone has failed to charge overnight. After changing cord and charging blocks, I did research and found this is a known problem and the phone has to be restarted all the time for the phone to recharge. Sent it back to Samsung. Loved the one, but charging is a basic function that should work flawlessly in a $1500 phone
Same here. Exynos 2400 modell, 24 plus. I Lose like 5% / hour without using the Phone... no background apps. Its really really bad. I think about returning it.
@@HummingBird88 I returned it today.. Samsung guys run some tests and said all is good however, they are now replacing my device with a new one.. fingers crossed!! Mine is SD Gen 3
@@jejunamja yeah. I did. I even charged my phone to 100 at midnight, then leave it till the next morning. Not a single App was draining battery, still lost 15 % in the night.
The issue with Exynos, and many YT creators miss this, is that the QC on Samsung-made Exynos is hit or miss. So there is no doubt there are efficient S24+ (Exynos) out there. But for every 10 of those there are five that heat up, have subpar battery life and perform inconsistently. I am sure Samsung tested all the ones that went out to reviewers to make sure they got la creme de la creme. So a warning to buyers: if you are lucky you will get a good Exynos, but if you just can't get a break then you could end up with one that sucks. That is why I will avoid them and leave them for the hardcore Samsung fans that are more forgiving.
@@slickrick2420 In the video I watched the Exynos ran about 1-2 degrees hotter than the newly bought SD S23. The Exynos drained battery faster at genshin impact (which is horribly optimized but maybe concerning if you are a gamer). The Eynos performed slightly bether than the s23 in everything else and also standby time. I guess the SD s24 is a little more efficient than the s23 so probably a bit bether than the Exynos S24.
It's at 100% because I just took it off the charger, so... And btw, I traded in my S20 Plus with a crack in the screen and got a $700 credit from Spectrum where I pay $14 to $28 a month for service depending on how much data I use. I scored hard and paid $337 for the S24Plus.
I got a s23+ had it for 6 months been loving it ever since battery is excellent & it does over heat & love the software on the gen2 i can tell the big difference when i had my s21 plus major upgrade but i really want a s24 ultra 👍🏾 👌🏾
I will be buying my first OLED and I can't decide between Sony A80L, LG C3 and Samsung S92C. I will be using it mainly for gaming. The C3 and S90C are both around $1300 and the A80L is around $1700. What's the best one between these three?
LG C3, is a great balance for gaming and value , if you want to save some money, see if you can find a C1, brilliant display, wrong video to ask comment this question though xD. I also find that LGs WebOS is better than Samsungs, I'd get a TV box for either anyway though, xiaomi MI box for android or apple TV.
