I've heard that faster charging speeds could be bad for your battery's health. I don't know if that's just a rumor but knowing that I think I'm okay with my 45 watt charging speed because I don't want to have to pay to replace my battery
Yes and no. OnePlus did a really good job with this. The key is fast charging can make your phone too hot. But OnePlus has two smaller batteries rather than one large one, and technology that uses software to see when the phone is getting too hot and stop charging as fast at that point. So we have enough advancements to take advantage of the speed without much extra damage. But could it make your battery degrade more? Maybe a little bit. So I get it, 45w is fast enough. That's why it's not a huge knock in my opinion. But I would like to see them up it in the future.
No argument here. I see different consumer levels. Those who are simply looking for the best overall, which costs around $1,300. And those looking for a value and a bargain. I made it clear in the video it's not the best value "don't look here". But still it's tremendous regardless. So trying to balance that out.
If you’re shopping in that range of phone, you’re not looking for value. You’re looking for the best of the best, no matter the cost. Sorry, not calling anyone a cheap or poor. If you’re looking for value, there’s a lot of options.
Would agree if I paid full price. I paid $771 for the phone, galaxy buds, two $50 cases, and two screen protectors. Best upgrade deal I've ever gotten.
This phone is far superior than the iPhone in most areas. Anyone who says otherwise is just a fanboy. I was in the early days. My favourite was the 4S as it ran flawlessly and zippy. Never froze once and the camera was ahead of the competition. The 5S was the most beautiful. However since IOS 7 the software has been a mess and has never ran right. It's also plagued with bugs. Now that Qualcomm has acquired the chip company that was formed by former apple chip engineers, apple has now lost its advantage in this area. The sd8 gen 4 coming next year is going to smoke anything that comes from ARM. The SD8 gen 3 also is more powerful now. Since 2015 I switced to Samsung and have never looked back. iPhones feel like toys and the screens are clearly inferior.
It's over priced considering ...the one plus 12 and pixel 8 pro or under a 1000 bucks I kept my s23 ultra and tried the s24 plus and it's awesome...my biggest problem with the ultra is it doesn't feel good in the hands...
I said in the review, don't come here for a value, the OnePlus 12 is King of value. Or Google phones. And more options are there outside of the US. But it's still the best phone out imo in the US. Just not the best value
I hope the S25 ultra is more like the s24 plus design wise because I love the spen but the phone digging into my hand is a pain...or at least Samsung allows spen support on the plus model I would gladly pay for a optional spen...
Your getting a phone, DSLR Camera or better, plus a TV & Computer in your hands. It doesn't seem like it because of a few grams but this S24 Ultra has some heft to it that I love compared to my S22 Ultra. My Carrier gave me $800 for my S22 Ultra, so I had to snag the 512g up. It reboots twice as fast as my 22 did also, it's like your only using a portion of it power! The display shines when watching 4k videos too. I left Apple years back & it really takes a very long time to learn everything your S24 Ultra has to offer you, it's so feature packed! Love it..
Yeah, it's a tremendous phone. I don't think the upgrades are crazy crazy significant anymore, but like you said, it does so much for you, and especially if you get a good deal, it can be worth it, glad you're enjoying it
Yeah haven’t heard of that before it probably is something wrong with the unit. I will say s23 ultra was pretty flawless but s24 series seems good it can be something wrong or an update needed cause new chips usually have issues when they first come out
S24 Ultra has better battery, better cameras, it has the ai features. The Fold 5 simply has the unique form factor, and that can be a MASSIVE deal. But has some durability draw backs long term. If someone wants that extra screen size I'd recommend MOST PEOPLE go with the Fold 5. The cameras will be good enough and the form factor is incredible. But I think it's the wrong question. I really think people should ask themselves what form factor they prefer first. That's honestly going to make the decision for most people.
@@AndroidDigest I usually carry a work phone and personal phone. Been using the pixel fold and iPhone. Swapped the iPhone out for the 24 ultra. Enjoying it so far. Really love the pixel fold though.
I call she shenanigans on those indoor lowlight pics of your kid. No way a Samsung took those. I know because I have a kid and I keep them indoors...and the pictures I take always look like oil paintings, esp in indoor lowlight.
Hey man, you can call it anything you want. I'm not here to lie. That's why I specifically said "it's not a good value". I'm not going to sugar coat it. For $1,300 the OnePlus 12 is a FAR better value. Especially when they do a "any trade" for $100 off. You could trade in a flip phone, and get a phone with the same speed, better battery, an equal screen, it's not better OVERALL, but it's a better value. I call it like I see it, I still think this camera is one of the best, if not the best, and it's definitely extremely versatile. There is a little more shutter lag than pixel or other phones like that. But I stand by it. Those are definitely real
