If you're honest, the image quality is identical on both. The only new thing on the s24 ultra is the 50MP 5x zoom, instead of the 10mp 10x zoom. Video quality is also the same.

First I would like to say thanks for the camera comparison too fast. Some pics in S24U is better than S23U but in other situations S23U is better than S24. I have sure after software updates rhe S24U increase more. But I don't know if I will upgrade from my S23U.

if you can afford it under $600 after trading. thn go for it. otherwise dont upgrade. some key AI features are also coming in s23 series. And I'm going to purchase 23 ultra tomorrow. 😅

Почему сравнивайте 3х с 5х,у 24 ультра разве нет 3х оптики?Нужно было сравнить 3х между собой,а потом 5х оптику на 24 и 5х растянутую на 23 ультра.А потом ещё 10х на обоих сравнить.

Really helpful comparison video! Thanks for this. Just missing night videos i wanted to see the upgrade in noise reduction claimed by s24u series so i can decide either to get s23u or s24u. I dont see much value this year tbh apart from AI which i wont use much. But 5x optical is nice to have. Bought iphone 15pm but really hating its dull colors compared to samsung

Is the low light and stabilization from s24 coming to s23 on next software update? Seems to me those are the differences.

Same camera so similar result. :D There might be some difference between 2x identical s24 ultra models as well I guess. Low light improvement with sensor upgrade is not noticable. There are some differences though, s24 supports 4k 120fps for example, and 8k 30fps as it has more power. Titanium frame could less overheat (yet to be proved). s23 has 10x zoom while s24 has 5x instead, but this is to give more seamless zooming experience from 1x to 9.9x which is good I think, as the 10x-100x is more like fun than practical use. Of course its not worth the upgrade from s23 unless you cannot do anything with the money. :P Iphone 15 pro still has better camera it seems in some aspects, but all these differences are barely noticable. But, eg. from s21 ultra, this has better clarity. (though even that is slightly)

I liked the S23 Ultra better. Generative AI which Samsung is so much bragging about, is just a small portion of what they are offering. And those software features are going to come to the 23U eventually. I guess its all about whether you need it or want the new shiny thing.

I thought there was a lack of comparisons in darker environments, such as indoors, especially at night. For example, I take a lot of photos of objects in low-light locations. The photo has to be quick and of good quality. And from the tests I can't say whether this camera would be good, I'm not talking about advertising photos so no auxiliary lights or paper are used to increase the brightness.

For the first time in a long time, the camera seems like an afterthought, with the focus now shifting to generative AI features and editing. Samsung mentioned that Galaxy AI will be coming to some previous devices, likely this will include the S23 with its nearly identical hardware making the upgrade pointless.

I don't care who has the best camera. Every flagship smartphone takes super pictures and video's. 97% of all smartphone users don't even see the differences. I'm a SMARTPHONE user so I want the best of : usablility and productivity options, gaming- and multi-media experience, personalization options and innovation. I want DEX, KNOX, S-PEN, multi-tasking, multi-window, integration with windows, the biggest eco-system (Samsung SmartThings), fast charging, fast wireless charging, screen and I want AI. On all these aspects the S24 Ultra is destroying the iphone 15 PM big time. So why keep people buying these antiquted very very limited iphones????
