@yaboipookiepook I'm not pro either. I buy either brand. For the last couple years I have owned Pixels. Fact is they are phones and no one uses their phone in this way. These tests are pushing boundaries. But I see brand loyalist time after time bashing another brand even if it opens an app a half of second slower. Both of these devices are more than capable of handling whatever the consumer needs.

I prefer SAMSUNG's and iPhone's early overheat warnings and force app shut downs more as it decreases the risk of Overheating possibly avoiding Damage to the battery and display in the long term, Most importantly your own health and body unlike some other Chinese Brands and Pixels that have higher Threshold for Temperature Warnings which could cause many problems.....Literally is 50 degrees a joke to your own body and battery.....50 degrees is literally a major threat to anyone holding the smartphone especially with most people with a case on it that eventually provides less heat dissipation overall.

Exactly. This is what people didn't get about the original stress test. They thought the Samsung SOC was worse because it shut down early. But that was just samsung setting sensible temp limits. It has nothing to do with the performamce of the device.

Samsung employs a temperature throttle mechanism, and I presume in-house testing has conclusively demonstrated that the phone’s performance will degrade over a specific temperature threshold with time. Therefore, it’s a prudent precaution. Apple also employs a similar approach, initially reducing brightness and then throttling performance to maintain a temperature that doesn’t compromise the device’s longevity. Despite the criticism, common sense suggests that devices without active cooling will overheat and heat can be detrimental to the device. Google permits a higher threshold, and I assume their testing indicates that this doesn’t cause any damage. That seems plausible considering the challenges faced by Pixels with high temperatures for years. Consequently, Google Engineering may have a better understanding of this aspect compared to its competitors. VIVO and other manufacturers allow even higher temperatures, and it remains to be seen if that poses any issues in the long run. A scientific test but for 99% of us moot, but an indication for those in hotter climates that do not expect miracles in fanless small devices.

Samsung gives early overheating warnings to prevent potential damage to the phone’s hardware and to protect user safety. This isn't necessarily a sign of a performance problem, but rather a proactive approach to managing heat. Samsung devices are known for their strong thermal management systems. When the device reaches a certain temperature, it issues a warning to cool down the phone before it gets too hot. This prevents: 1. **Hardware damage:** Excessive heat can damage internal components, including the processor, battery, and display. 2. **Performance degradation:** High temperatures can cause the device to throttle its performance to prevent overheating, which affects the overall speed and responsiveness. 3. **User safety:** Overheating can lead to burns or other safety hazards.

Pixel battery will have only 80% of its capacity in less than a year because of the crazy temps , so yeah it performs better but at what cost. 50 celcius gonna destroy that battery man 😅 this ain't lasting 7 years not even 4. The worst thing is according to jerry rig the pixel battery is very hard to replace so u may need to pay full price at official google service and it can get really complicated because google service doesn't exist in most countries just like the way they don't ship phones in most countries. Both companies should add some kind of normal mode like the current way Samsung is performing and also give an option to reach the temp limit of the battery so It gets hot af but performing the best it can

A couple of things learnt from other videos are that: 1/ The Pixel disperses heat to the front display, so it's also worth checking the temperature there. 2/ The Pixel uses lower graphical quality and resolution under stress, which may not be noticeable on such a small display but could be why the Pixel doesn't force close.
