@@carlosorozco1336Don't attempt to speak for everyone. It is the sign of a weak argument. Many people use 10x zoom and above. That said, the new 5x zoom is not far behind the old 10x optical zoom at 10x magnification. It looks a little too contrasty and cartoon like on occasions, but it is still a good effort.
I use the 10x all the time, Samsung could have added both ten and 5 x lenses and could have used a 3x as a crop from the 200mp sensor. The 200 mp sensor is powerful enough to make a good 3x crop coupled with some good AI.
Me too, it's definite worst than 22U or even 21U, I think they should keep 10x, and change 3x to 5x instead. Because the 1x sensor is huge, digital zoom to 3x shouldn't be problem.
Not only you. I tried a 5x camera at the shop today and the result wasn't impressed. Only 5x-10x zoom is better than S23U. On 11x-100x zoom S23U is still better. Just a little bit disappointed.
@@gabrielangel1996 That would make the phone a block. Large sensor size at this magnification just isn't possible. It's barely possible to make a 3Times periscope of that sensor size, because otherwise the phone would just get far too thick.
@@gabrielangel1996 the 200mp is a gimmick BS marketing. Much larger real camera sensors are 24,26,33 and 50 mp. Even samsung raw is still 50mp. They have 2 zoom cameras that are really close in focal length and I don't see the point. They could also make their 3x sensor bigger and better so the 3 to 10x range would be more usable. This is a downgrade by all means.
To be fair, 100x zoom is already impressive for a 5x lense. The fact it is even half-decent looking is pretty awesome. And I think the 5x will be better for low-light videos, which will give the iPhone 15 Pro Max a run for its money.
The best camera setup would be a main, an ultrawide (this old sensor in samsung s series needs an upgrade too), a 3x to 5x continuous optical zoom like sony and finnally a 10x with higher mp like 48 or 50. Also the curved screen should return. Atleast mildly curved. Otherwise I'm not upgrading to S series again!
Can you please do the same test with S23 Ultra and Vivo X100 Pro side by side for the same location? Maybe also with Pixel 8 or Pro? I need to make up my mind soon.
Crazy Samsung removing the main features of their device. These past few 3 years zooming has been mainly a Samsung feature with other brands following suite and they're throwing it away?
Thoughts vs x100 pro camera quality? Enjoy the time back in NZ - just booking flights back myself (from UK). So expensive post covid to take the family back!
You should test shutter lag on near objects. Like people, kids, pets. That's where every Samsung phone I used (S23U, too) failed big time. I guess some people will choose this device because of boat or mountain pictures with that powerful zoom, but blurry pictures of moving subjects... I could not deal with that (and Samsungs "we'll fix it with updates" lies) anymore. That should not be acceptable on premium devices.
100x zoom is crazy. its not a big deal if s23 is clearer. its just a feature we can enjoy. you cant use that to a daily basis. just relax and enjoy that your phone can see thru 100x
easy skip this "filler" generation , S25 Ultra should bring huge upgrades let's hope they finally fit 3x 50 + the upgraded rumored 200MP sensor or even better variable-zoom lens which even Iphone will have in a few years, don't need AI branded oil paintings with digital artifacts and quality loss on 1k+ euro toy
useless in my opinion, who's going to chose to photograph with a lesser sensor than the primary, I would rather have an A+ main and ultrawide sensor both top notch quality and a larger selfie sensor with OIS for low light and a downward facing headphone jack 😢, I would buy it in heart beat
the teams probably aren’t pressured for perfection like apple’s probably and even tho common in every android i had it could just be the screen recording or his editing software…🤔
Please are you kidding me, this s21u is impossible to be s24u, because the zoom is blurry and not accurate at all, my friend have s23u has a much better zoom than this
