👩💻🗯"Everytime I have to do this I come right back to this video". There are so many people that need help that it's a good thing this video always here. Thank you. A thumbs up and subscriber.
Loved how u went at a normal pace and u didnt race theough it. Also u explained it in two different ways thanks . It REALLY HELPED ME . THANK YOU. ALOT OF OLDER PEOPLE ARE USED TO OLD GADGETS. NO THESE NEW THINGS . THANK YOU
Believe it or not, I just today realized that my original card was nearly full and that my huge-capacity removable memory card was being ignored. Thanks to this video I definitely have it as the default place (which might have already been done) and, most importantly, I moved my bulking videos and audio files to my removable memory card. The internal phone menus are much different in my phone, probably from software upgrades (there is no "explorer"), but with common sense I worked around those problems.
This is an excellent video that solved my problem, but his operating system is a little older. You have to go through Samsung's app MY FILES, not through the regular SETTINGS app.
Excellent! After going to a few help sites and even verizon's, I found you. I was one of those who couldn't open gallery and the phone said to delete some pics, but couldn't do that without opening Gallery! Your advice is clear, concise and worked immediatley. Thank you, HtS!
Thank God....yu saved me....i had thousands of images to transfer as my phone was on the verge of permanent death, taking days just to charge and minutes to die.
This is totally outdated for my phone, but I always buy 3- last gen, so it helped me install a new sd card and swap over my photos. The UI is totally different in '22 but your vid was just enough for me to find the options I was looking for. Thanks man, from the futuuuuuuure.....
Best 5 minutes I ever invested in a video😘 you told me everything I needed to know😉 I wanted to know😜 and that I was looking for🤗 thank you👍 thank you🤟 thank you☺ very much🙏 keep you're 🥀informative videos coming🌹🌺🌻
My hero I have been safaring because of my memory card ohhh my GOD even when I say thank u it's nt enough my teacher thanks may GOD BLESS U MORE AND MORE I LOVE U
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! YOU ARE A LIFESAVER!! I could NOT for the life of me figure this out...even took it to my local AT&T store, and they couldn't even figure it out!! And thank you for suggesting to copy the pics instead of just moving em to the card. Just added protection just in case. Again, thank you SO much. 🙂
OMG this video is so helpful! All other people only had a tutorial on change the camera saving location, but I could not find any clear instructions on how to transfer pics to sd card. Good video, thank you!
@@HowtoSmartphone Nope it didn't work for my Galaxy Grand Prime. But your video got me pointed in the right direction. (THANKS!) Only problem I have now is no other device to see if they actually all made it to the micro SD card. So I won't be able to delete from my phone to free up space. Thanks again for the great videos.
My Settings looks different and has no "Storage" category. The only mention of storage is under "Device Maintenance" and this is still Samsung Galaxy s7. Any suggestions on how to proceed in this case?
Hi there I am having issues with transferring my photos and files etc. When i go into storage it doesn't give the options of copying or moving the files, but only to delete. I'm not sure if this due to a recent update on my Samsung S7? Thanks for your help
i had the same issue.what i did: i had an empty sd card i changed the directory for saving photos there. then i took a picture and it made an album sd card. so then i went in my photos and moved them to that album and it transfered all my photos to sd card.
Thank you for a great tutorial!!! I have a question. I have a Samsung J7 Star. I like the phone and I need to transfer my pics to my SD card. My question is, when I copy to my SIM card will they copy as it is saved? I have tons of pics and they're all in folders. I'm hoping that when I copy onto my SD card , they will copy in the same format that I currently have it which all are in folders.
All my photos were wiped off my SD card. Thankfully, all my photos are saved in my astro storage app. I am unable, however, to move the photos back to my SD card. 🙁
Thank you very much sir, appreciate this video! Question, on the samsung galaxy s7 what else can the micro sd card be useful for? Would it be possible or necessary to transfer contacts? How about apps? And by putting all this info onto the sd card, will it help the device run faster?
+Lawrence Sanchez yes. All data on the phone can be transferred. Photos videos contacts apps etc. As far as speed goes I'm not sure. Haven't tested it.
Sorry how old it’s your phone, I have a Galaxy S7 and cant find applications manager or storage? My phone is not too old. I am following your instructions step by step......over and over.
Hi How about deleting SD card already transfered pictures from your device,I can transfer but when I delete pictures from my device it automatically delete them from SD card as well?
I did it , thanks for your guide lines, but after transferring my videos I wanted to clean my phone storage and I deleted them ,then the same videos in the sd card allso been deleted. Do you have any suggestions please.
I have been trying to move all my photos that are stored in the phone onto the SD card I purchased with no luck so far. Maybe it's due to the fact I am using an older/reliable J7 Crown from Samsung, but since it's and Android the methods I have been watching on RU-vid should provide results, but it hasen't. With your tutorial I get all the way to going to Settings, Select Storage, but when I select that my screen goes to “Space Used” App - Data - Cache - Total. There is no ability to scroll down on this screen and there isn't a “Explore” selection to be had. I understand that because of the software you and I are seeing different things.... any ideas?
Most of the Samsung operating systems are usually the same. Unless my phone has an older one and yours might be newer. They tend to move things around.
@@georgethornton-bey5201 thank you for asking. I have found my files. I have downloaded smart switch and with that I have been able to move some photos to my MAC laptop. But the step by step for moving photos from my Samsung s7 to a flash drive or to my LaCie external drive still escapes me.
