Lots of things might get a phone wet while on vacation but what happens when your kid spends 30 minutes in a hot tub with friends and doesn’t realize until afterwards that their phone was under 3 feet of hot chlorinated water the entire time? Seems like a real world test as lots of families love to vacation in hot tropical places with plenty of pools and hot tubs.

s9 plus owner here, always been very cautios with this feature on my s7 edge before, can i safely take an underwater selfie with the s9 plus ? i woud not sumberge deeper than like 4 feet tops and i would be underwater maybe for 5 minutes tops. i mean like sliding it into the pocket of your bathing trunks and go into the pool to take a selfie. your videos makes it seem pretty safe. i had the s7 edge for two years, and i took a couple underwater shots but always dangling the phone underwater by not more than a feet and not for more than a minute. it feels so sketchy, i use a spigen tough armor and display protection, i just respect these devcies and it agonizes my to see them ruined.
