If your Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite has been dead for an extended period of time, it may enter a deep discharge state. When this happened to me, the tablet charged until the screen turned on to indicate power being input, only to die immediately from the current used to illuminate it. The process repeated indefinitely when charging until I resolved to fix it.
The method I found is in no way guaranteed to bring every tablet out of a deep discharge state, though it is a promising fix if the aforementioned charging behavior is occurring.
