We have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 that has a non functioning charge port. We're going to replace it, which is a moderately difficult job, as you first have to remove the screen. Once the screen is removed, the repair is fairly straightforward.
Follow along for detailed instructions!

12/10/2022- Bought the replacement port (and a little tool st was included) off of Amazon for $9 bucks. Followed your video and now my Samsung A7 charges perfectly! Thank you.

Thanks for the video man. Quick and what I needed. The only thing i missed when testing was the battery plug, I was scared to push that one in for a click because it come off so easy. Proud to do this work myself after years of watching jerry rig everything.

I used a syringe to put a very small amount of rubbing alcohol in the groove around the screen to soften the adhesive. Let it set a few minutes before lifting a corner. The screen will virtually fall out.

When opening, at the top of the tablet, I recommend ONLY go in 2mm with the opening tool, (or No use opening tool, at top, at all)! I ended up having to get a new screen from Amazon for $50. My fault, I didn't follow this video's advice to the letter, and now I'm paying for it.

I've done the operation and everything seemed to go well... But after reconnecting the screen it stays black 😨 we see the backlighting working and it also react when touching it, but no display... So I replaced the screen connector with no success... Any idea ? (BTW the usb port is working 🤪)

When I watched these video, I confident can do it myself, the only trouble I got is how to remove the glue to stick the screen (on other phone is the back glass), I don't have heater or hair dryer to made it melted to remove, but after removed it. I can do myself to replace part like battery, screen (this tablet only), usb, camera,...(I can't fix anything on mainboard)

You need some heat to help remove the glue. If you have no heat you can use isopropyl alcohol, which will really loosen the glue, but it doesn’t help much in removing a screen that isn’t already cracked.

You are inserting the tool between the gap in the lcd and the bezel from the top? I don’t see enough space to do it from the side because the bezel is very thin and doesn’t have a crack between them. Some tablets do but apparently not this one.

What kind of heating pad do you use? Ever use a hot air rework soldering tool or is that too hot? Trying to melt the glue and not the LCD.

I use a pad like this one: Tysun LCD Screen Separator, LCD Mobile Screen Separator Remover Machine a.co/d/bTKNa7F A hot air rework station or heat gun will work. If using a heat gun, I use the lowest setting, and on a rework station, I’d set the temp at 100 degrees celcius, and go slow around the edges. Take about 45-60 seconds to go around the edges and do it about 8-10 times.

It would. Set it on high and hold it 2 or 3 inches from the glass, and move slowly around the outside edge, each time around the tablet should take you 45 seconds to a minute. Go around it 9 or 10 times. That should be enough to then cut through the glue and remove the screen. Don't force it though, if you feel you're getting too much resistance when lifting, use more heat. Just don't hold the hair dryer in one spot as that can damage the LCD under the glass.
