Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5": Unboxing & Review 

I bought this tablet in 2015. I still have it after almost 5 years. It still works well and has no broken keys. Battery life is still 3 hours of video streaming at medium brightness. Although it can't play latest games it is a great tablet for watching videos and photos.

I bought it in 2014. Years later I wanted to use it again after at least 4 weeks and it had 50% battery left. Wifi was off and the display too. The battery still today holds weeks when wifi is off... I watch movies and series on it. It easily lasts for 10 episodes each 50 min. And the display doesn't just hold up till today, it's even top tier. 2560x1600 AMOLED. The S8 doesn't even have that😅

Watched this video, got impresed by this tablet, went on ebay, saw reviews, ordered this tablet, and now writing this comment from tab s 10.5 like a BOSS😎😎

I bought this in 2015 and still have it. Using the tab s and the tab s3. Both of them are just amazing

I have been using this Tab S for awhile now, after switching from a Note Pro, and it is amazing! You do a great job reviewing as I discovered a few things I didn't know about by watching your video-Thanks. Hope they come out with a Note version of this tablet as I miss the S Pen.

Really interesting, complete and focused review. Just made me want to buy it all the more, since I never had a tablet, and I want one to search the web, see all those images, videos, read pdfs and other documents. Damm, now I need to get it (plus the screen looks just amazing!!).

Yes, buy it next month, Samsung Galaxy Tab S was named the best tablet in 2014, no wonder that it received the award. And the screen! absolutely amazing!

after watching the iPad Air 2 review, i think that some people that buys apple product buys it because because of its name. think about it! when the first iPhone came out, people went insane over it. just say the word over and over again. it is because of the name, and people think it is a really good phone because of the way it sounds, and some people doesnt really realize what it comes with and its feature. in my opinion, the features of the Samsung tablet is better than the iPad Air 2. if people choose Apple devices over samsung because of hardware installments, and/or features, that is completely fine!! BUT, with ALL tech devices such as phone and tablets, big tech company like samsung and apple tries to approach it to the poorer people than rich, because thats where over 60% of their income comes from. its just from my perspective, but others surely do have many opinion when it comes to buying new things. just remember it not how big the screen may be, or how thin it is, or the quality(sometimes) but if it make good use to you

Wow! This Samsung Tablet has impressed me. It's amazing 😉. The tab s 8.4 and 10.5 here, both are definitely worth buying in 2017. I am getting one in White and Gold of the 10.5 inch. And another thing that this tablet has impressed me is that very colourful and bright Super Amoled Display which is more to meet the naked eye. 👁 So, who's getting one like me?

its a winner ... I knew Samsung wouldn't let me down , I just need it to have a sim card slot for mobile networks for outside uses . but im still happy

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" even in 2022, from the standpoint of hardware and software is still an amazing looking and functioning device. Great build quality too.

Its just me or it seems that samsung its coming out with way too many table in a short period of time.. And personally I think they all look the same..

watching this after seeing the tab s9 reveal. It's amazing how far they've come.

I recently won an iPad Air from a company and I can't help but hate the Hell out of this OS and product, make no mistake - I'm VERY grateful that I won the product because I plan on using the Air for school stuff but this is VERY hard because I'm not familiar with the OS and it feels so restricted compared to Android; I don't understand what people see in this OS. I'm looking to switch it out now because of this, it will interfere with school and I can't have that.

I bought mine Tab S 10.5 in the end of 2014, and it is still working just fine. Later on I tried s pen from my note, it didn't work at the beginning but Samsung staff did something and it worked just fine. Even with ordinary graphite pen I could do some sketches. I did my sketches on my tablet mostly, but never had any scratches on the screen. Basically, seeing recent updates on tab series I felt a bit old and checking out if people still use theirs as I do, I see people still do😃

so it's 2020 just pulled this out of closet powered up and wow it runs just as good today and my s20 ultra only issue on Android 6.0.

Man I got this year's ago and it was amazing, until today where software updates slow down my device and my battery is really running quick.

Wow I'm impressed, way more customizable than the Ipad and other tablets out there. I would literally buy this product but i see no use of buying a tablet.

Real rival to the iPad Air. Its not the specs or the hardware nor the brand. Now its just iOS vs. Android.

Very good reviewof the SM-T800. Got this tablet many years ago and was very happy with it. Now, the wifi doesn't work. After reading many comments from other forums, I believe this particular model has a hardware issue with the wifi/bluetooth apparatus. With mine, the switch(wifi and bluetooth) would turn on but remain greyed for a minute and then switch off. No internet! Also the battery will drain fast with the tablet powered off.

Can't wait til i have the money for this.

Wow! You can really talk fast. Anyone else would have taken at least 30 minutes to cover the features you did. That's a plus in my opinion. I can always rewind and listen again if I miss something. At the speed you were going, I never once thought about skipping over a section. You were done with it before I got my hand on the mouse. :-)

Man I remember watching this in October 2014 deciding on this or iPad Air 2. I’m glad I made the choice of iPad as it aged like fine wine and everyone here says this thing is so laggy. Well it was nice to visit a 7 year old video and a 7 year younger me. Now in college and wish I didn’t sell my iPad as I no longer use it.

I am looking for a a nice 10" tablet to upgrade my nexus 7, fancied something bigger I am tempted so much to pull the trigger on this tablet.

The color is so vibrant it sold me on it i have a s4 and 65 in hd7150 but the color is greater on this tablet they had it at the pawn shop almost brand new for 350..i got it for 250...with a 6 month warranty.

I think Apple and Samsung should make a mixture phone with iOS or Android Tunning on, or Apple specks or Samaung specks or a mixture of samsung and apple speck should be on that phone. This tablet is still one of the best, especially if you install lineage android 7.1 on it. I did few days ago and all the apps that was listed as incompatible are working!

watching in August 2016 and this is still my favourite tablet when I'm consuming media. The screen is beautiful, and I prefer the aspect ratio in Comparison to the 4:3 of the Tab S2 and ipad. I will say it's getting a bit sluggish, most apps don't use the multicore horsepower this thing offers it usually uses a single thread which it scores only 987 on geekbench and it shows. My go too tablet for most things is my ipad air 2 everything is just so much smoother and way faster... Just missing that glorious amoled screen. Common samsung make a 10.5" tablet with an 820 or something bring it up to pace.

Wow, that is a lot of stuff ...I came to this video after watching some iPad mini videos and I can't imagine why anyone would choose an iPad, there is no comparison... It definitely has to be for the "name" because there is no way, the features of an iPad come close to all the stuff a tablet like this one can do...

Does it seem slow to anyone else? I am trying to decide between this and the Ipad Air 2, but the OS just seems super slow. Everytime he does an action its really delayed. Does anyone else notice this as well?

I have used and seen couple of tablets previously. but this is the one that I loved.the only bad thing about this device is that it is not waterproof.everything about this tablet is great.great build,great display,great battery,great performance. Really this tablet is among the few who can really compete Ipad air 2..

Your reviews are so detailed that I can't even choose between the tablets I wanna buy. I'm kind of into the Apple ecosystem as for tablets, but I really like the features on Android tablets (pop out video, layering of apps, multi window ...). So right now, I'm just trying not to die because of the mind blowing choice. The new iPad that'll come out would be a safe choice, but again, with less feature as for multitasking, but then, which Android tablet should I get then? The NotePRO 12.2 seems really really good with the quad multiwindow, I really like the Spen, but the Tab S' AMOLED hi-res displays are sooooo gorgeous, and they are more likely to keep being updated... But a big tablet is hard to move around, yet sometimes a small tablet just isn't comfortable enough. So yeah, I'm lost. And comically enough, I'm lost because you do you job very well. 😅
