Great review. I'd just say something about why I think they didn't make a bezel-less tablet. Actually when you think about it, it would be quite impractical. On tablets, we need some area to hold on to when using them. They could reduce the bezels or remove them from just 3 sides like some Dell tablets but removing them entirely would make them awkward & hard to hold. That's why I think, at least.
Erin Lawrence Bezel less phones can be held easily by the back or even by touching the tiny bezels on top and bottom (especially if you use a case). I own an S8 and speaks from personal experience
Thanks Jose Ramon. It's hard to say. I only have very limited experience with Samsung. I think as you get more apps, video etc running on any device it can slow it down a bit. Do you have a tablet now?
jose Ramon Quan I've used a lot of Samsung devices and they didn't get laggy with time in my experience. I just make sure to clear my recent apps once in a while, & also make sure not to install unnecessary apps (battery management, "antivirus" apps, or other apps that claim to make your device faster - cause they actually do the opposite). My 2 year old Galaxy Note 5 is still as fast as it was when I first got it.
Great review !!! So, do you think that this tablet is better than ipad 6 generation for reading? What of this two, looks like fine for reads for a long time? Using in a university? Thanks so!!!
I finally got one too! Lol :) Thanks for the vid...Im thinking about getting a beetle defense case for it because i think it may be the best for low profile great protection. What do you use? Thanks!
Galaxy tab s3 is one of the best looking tablet with the keyboard that attach to it i had my for about three month now and i can say that the keyboard is very respondsive also
Great video just want to touch on one topic that you got wrong that being the S-Pen not having any electronics inside. Being an S-Pen fan for a few years now I have at one point looked up a video that explains what the S-Pen is and how it works I also watched a teardown video of an S-Pen. Anyways the way it works is simple it has a type of battery not a standard lithium one but something that holds a small amount of energy to give the S-Pen its functionality. The screen on an S-Pen enabled device such as a Note or a tablet with an S-Pen emits a field of energy that the S-Pen picks up which allows it to work just try using the S-Pen on a device not ment for it like the S8 or even an iPad I guarantee it won't do anything. So it does have electronics inside it that allows it to work the way it does it's amazing and a big reason I got the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 again great video I definitely enjoyed it.
I have one , it is very bad in video preview because of its very narrow preview of it , most the screen above and below the video is only black ! hope to solve that it future by software upgrade. Only a hope and i dont thing so.
I like this one but worried about timely software updates from Samsung. Android tablets are fine when they come out but they get very buggy and laggy over time.
Can it be used as cell phone for voice calls via speakers or Bluetooth off course? Does it have a key board? What colours does it come in apart from black?
saw it best buy the other day really nice but i would say you could also use a samsung chromebook lapton in one tablet comes with play and also comes with the s pen . in my opinion i wouuld choose the chromebook plus. The ips looks so good i thought it was amoled at first . u should review it u will have fun .
My only criticism of the product is the lack of a storage place within the tablet for the pen. This is like a giant Note 8 phone, and they can store the pen in the housing.
Thanks. I had to make sure the S-Pen was longer than the Bamboo stylus pen I am using now. It is too short coming in just under 4 inches without the cap.
Approx ... 2-$400 cheaper than iPad pro ... that's a win! Just don't buy Samsung accessories particularly their covers and keyboards ... they look nice but very poor protection and way overpriced! However not sure ... but my pen came with a button when I press it, it acts as an eraser. So it may need a battery ... have not checked into it yet. Another feature with Samsung note ... click the world button and choose google voice typing ... wala ... instead of using the pen speak and it dictates ... your personal security.
Yeah but I can't believe you don't know the difference between lcd,led and amoled the galaxy phones started with amoled and because of the vibrant vivid color now apple is paying samsung so they can use it on the iPhone 8 the first tablet to have the amoled was the tab S and now I can't go back to a regular color lcd screen ....all the music videos ,movies, pictures everything look amazing just compare 2 music videos side by side with another tablet when I use my 7 inch tab 4 too long then I go back the the tab S I notice it right away I'm amazed even after 2 years I wish I could afford the note pro 12 inches with pen the regular note has no amoled
The note tablet I mean the note phones have amoled but then when they made the note tablet the amoled was to expensive back then so then they made the S tablet
Qxga 2048 x 1536 is also known as 2k is the same as the tab S but the S is 10.5 inches or 8.4 inches is almost the same as retina screen of ipads if you compare pixels per inch
Abbas It's 9.7" period the black bars count as the screen to you know 😁. If you download videos to watch off of something like MX Player you can stretch the image to fit thus utilizing the entire screen.
Fabi No dude. Had (stolen sadly) it's previous S2 8" version. On 8" 4:3 is perfect, and I liked it also on it's bigger brother but that one had in hands only for few moments in shop
