Honestly speaking... I returned it as it wasn't worth the upgrade. I am looking for a 5g tablet though as this was wifi so unless you consider that an upgrade haha

Lol, it certainly isn't financially wise, but that's what I did, too. If you trade the s8+ in, you get the s9+ at literally half price.

Yes! I found there are limited cases for the s9 plus otherwise I quite prefer the fintie cases as they're portable and don't have magnetic interference with the screens. I feel the samsung cases aren't versatile or protective enough!

SD gen 1 had overheating and throttling issues, SD gen 2 is a huge upgrade, GPU performance is tremendously improved. I just pre ordered my S9 and it will take two weeks to deliver. Did you get yours, how is the experience?

@@sabootio786 It's portable enough to bring along with my MacBook Pro when I'm flying overseas or on a business trip. Just make sure to get a decent backpack. Haven't noticed anything different from my previous s8 Ultra, other than brighter screen. The pre-order deal for the extra memory to 512GB is worth it.

So I tried using both tablets with 20% charge for general browsing (searching for holidays hehe) and I noticed both batteries died around the same time. Display for the tab s9 plus is stunning though!

@@sabootio786 for me the battery is better than with S8+

The difference is significantly less on a bigger device because it has dissapate heat MUCH more efficiently because the whole thing is made of metal.

Yes! In fact I've had to take the case off and reattach it to get rid of it. You'll see this effect on my tab s8 case video. That's why I use the fintie case for my tabs now as the magnetic interference was getting quite annoying

Same here. I really wanted the ultra, but it's just too big to fit in my backpack I use when traveling, but I'm happy with my s9+.

@kurtisrinker1202 my friend has the ultra now so got to compare side by side.. OMG.. looks truly amazing and is huge ! but price difference is just ridiculous 😒 no difference in performance although his keyboard has a back light and the S9 plus doesn't...not a biggie but nice extra I guess.

Yes the case is very sturdy and can be placed in many positions. I like that it keeps the s pen secure and in charge

Well to be honest sound quality is not something I have checked surprisingly! Well not for the speakers anyway. I'm constantly wearing my galaxy buds live! They are pretty loud though

I would definitely go for the plus simply for the screen real estate. Multitasking and Note taking on the s8 plus is superb and it's never too cramped. Just a tad smaller than an a4 sheet. Also with the 12gb ram you'll be covered performance wise. The only caveat with the ultra is the size! If youre taking it around with you its not the lightest thing. Even when i was using the s8 plus in one hand and notetaking with the other my wrist would hurt. But if youre using it as a desktop substitute or dont mind carrying the load then the Ultra is for you! You'll benefit from updates for longer too. If you're worried about longevity, get insurance or care plus as you'll have peace of mind too... hope that helps

@sabootio786 oh wow thank you so so much! That really helps and means a lot thank you so much! The preorders end today and so I'm going to have to decide today wether to get it or not and which one. I'm hopefully going to go into a store today to see them in person to decide! But yess my main usage of them is just note taking and so I'd love the bigger screen size but also the price is a factor too and portability. But thank you! I really want more update length and more storage so I think I'll go for it thank you so much for your help

I got $500 trade in from Samsung for tab 6 in Canada and free double storage and free book cover. Now I have 16 gb ram and 1tb storage with the ultra. Love it. Not heavy on my lap

Keep in mind the price did go up a little bit this year. You should wait for the next sale they will make the price more attractive for a limited time.

Yes! I decided to only have the 256gb as I use cloud storage mainly. Wish there was a storage upgrade for my s23 ultra though, I feel the 256gb model 8gb ram isn't as fast as my note 20 ultra which had 12gb ram!

Yes I found this also. Display was more vivid and cooler, stunning! But I noted that when they were side by side. The tab s8 plus still satisfies above and beyond with its display!

Yes, it has a micro SD card slot and can go up to a 2tb micro SD.

So I feel they compare the same as they have the same battery. I mean the faster chips etc is supposed to makenit kore efficient. But when I used them simultaneously (both at 20% charge), the battery dies at a similar time. My s8 plus would typically have 20-30% battery after a day of note taking usually

I agree! This review helped me realise that hence I returned the tablet and have kept my s8 plus 🙂

Same resolution, slight increase in brightness, peak brightness has a slightly more significant increase (viewing in direct sunlight will see a slight, temporary, boost in brighness along with HDR content becoming alot more dynamic)

When comparing side by side the s9 plus is brighter and more vivid. However on their own, the tab s8 plus satisfies greatly with its display

iirc the base s9 is actually less vivid than the s8lcd? I don't know if this carries across to the s9+ or ultra

I had the option of the graphite and the cream color on the Samsung website. I chose the graphite again since my case is the same color.

Yes! There is a 5g variant available and in fact I wish I had that as I have to connect it to WiFi each time I pull it out. My phone does act as hotspot but its not automatic. 5g variants are a little prices too

I ordered the Plus. I went to see the Ultra at Best Buy. The Ultra is just too big for my needs.
