I'm a woman and I love how they just keep messing us up and not making stuff for us. I don't have a. I don't care about a watch telling me about it. But I would like watches in our size and waits we can handle and batteries that actually last longer than 5 minutes it seems. I have a active too And the regular Galaxy. And I won't even bother ordering the 3 because it's too much money and it's just looks ugly and it has no ridges for us to get our fingers around the small ones that Brown one. So if I was a guy I would say titanium because it's lighter. But the cost is outrageous. Weight on it for a while let them stew the price will come down.
Here is what I love about this channel. All reviews are actually reviews. So many reviewers (especially smartwatches) sit on their couch/kitchen and read some information which you can get on google anyway. So thank you for this video and so many others, keep it up.
Very nice review! Do you think titanium version will come out with LTE as well later on? And again, given the fact that strap cannot be opened, is recharging it comfortable? I have the Samsung Duo Pad and I think I could not use it with titanium version strap 😐
@@andrewhaley7426 I wanted the "looks & feel" plus I like the idea of having a smartwatch encased in something as awesome as titanium. The watch is amazing. Love it.
Could you explain diffrence between LTE with or without? Titanium version requires that you have your smart phone with you to be able to recieve calls or SMS?
I wish they covered that information as well. Were they both bluetooth watches? Did the stainless steel one have LTE mobile service included? It could explain the higher memory and battery usage..
I read that typically Titanium scratches easier than stainless steel variant, do you find this to be true? I have the Samsung Gear 3 Classic and looking for an upgrade with their $200 trade-in offer for my watch.
@@damiantwins702 I ended up going with the Watch 3 stainless steel variant due to it being a lot cheaper and no one was able to answer me about the Titanium being more scratch resistant.
@@damiantwins702 yes it is able to wirelessly charge, it also comes with it's own magnetic wireless charger, unfortunately it doesnt work with my original Gear 3 classic cradle.
On paper it's the same battery but I have two active two I think that's the same battery as well but I do not get more than a day and a half for sure a battery basically my routine I get home I put my watch on the charger and I do have to say it does charge pretty quick like within an hour or maybe more I don't know but it doesn't seem to take that long and then before I go to sleep I put my watch on I put my alarm on the watch and I put my watch in sleep mode so it doesn't use that battery or doesn't wake up in the middle of the night and shine a big old light in my wife's face and I wake up and start my day and I usually check my sleep
The persistently higher CPU use on the SS version would explain the difference in battery life and overall performance. The question is why is CPU use higher on that one.
I believe there are 2 variables that could explain the battery difference and cpu usage. Watchfaces can have varying loads on performance for certain. Different colors, rendering different patterns, and types of sensor data can affect things. Also, being linked to different phone models could result in some communication data difference (phone radios for BT, wifi, etc), albeit minimal. I suspect it was the watchfaces. More things loading would increase some cpu load. To have a true test, load the same wallpapers and turn on airplane mode and observe. Varying activities, app usage, and sensor monitoring could all be making the battery and cpu load spikes as well. Awesome video, as I liked the scientific approach for the comparisons to show what true usage results to expect daily. Also the in depth physical comparisons. 👍👍
Enjoyed the video, I'm still undecided if it's worth the extra $ for the Titanium. I'm curious if you ever determined the reason for the CPU and duration differences? My gut thought is it's due to the different pairings; maybe the Note pairs a bit more frequently therefore a bit higher CPU and more drain on the battery. Leaning toward the Titanium and your video is the first I found that really covered the differences, even if they're subjective I liked hearing your thoughts. Thanks!
The reason why the titanium version of the watch 3 has a longer battery life and uses a little less memory is because it doesn't have LTE, so if you don't need to make calls on your watch without having your phone nearby, the titanium watch would be better. I myself like my watch to be able to make and receive calls independently of my cellphone.
I love the additional small details... For instance the engraved word Titanium at the bottom end of the case under 6 o'clock.. I don't regret being an early adopter this time..
Hey, I wanted to ask is the word Titanium actually engraved on the bottom of the watch? I saw a picture of that but couldn't see it in this video and they didn't mention it either, which I thought they would if it was there. Also, on the Titanium version does the bottom button still have the red ring detail around it? Thank you
@@bigboytoyzrc9258 there's nothing different about the two watches really except material of the casing. And most likely you will get the different color skins to cover the case anyways. So why pay extra $180. Plus Titanium isn't LTE. Not worth it.
@@diceflawless9115 as far as the band, none would be able to tell difference at a glance. The Stainless steel cased watch (regular Galaxy3) comes with a leather band. The Titanium Galaxy 3 comes with a Titanium band as well as the casing. You can just by any band and swap out.
Just get a titanium band .. I sent my titanium 3 back to get the regular one and ordered a titanium band looks exactly the same .. plus now I have LTE the titanium does not come with LTE Capabilitys
Extremely informative review, thanks. Still not sure which to get - did the titanium catch your arm hairs?!? I have a lot less arm hair than the person on the video - but I worry it'll snag me.
With black titanium, IMO it looks too much like the normal black version. And all black watches from a small distance could pass as black plastic. Personally I'm more of a silver/stainless steel guy, so if the titanium version had that option then I'd consider it. I even considered the silver titanium Huawei GT 2 Pro, but that deal breaker for me was that it's not a 100% smartwatch since you can't make it reply to tests.
For mine to work well every time, the band has to be tightened enough on my wrist to the point where it's uncomfortable, I can't be sweating, and my wrist has to be resting on something flat. This isn't something you use while you're quickly walking down the street trying to find the bar you're friends are at (pre and JESUS GOD HULK HOGAN hopefully post pandemic).
Excellent video guys!! Informative and entertaining! Both look good, but Titanium looks really good. It niggles me a bit thought, as a materials engineer that they use an expensive lifetime lasting metal for a device that will be upgraded in 2 or 3 years. We use titanium in machinery because we expect it to last 30 years. It feels such a waste.. I was thinking it would be interesting to check the titanium battery etc against Watch Active 44mm if you still have one! I'm feeling that the performance might actually be closer to the Titanium than the SS. What do you think?
Yes good point Brian, it still feels dope though. I guess people like me are falling for stuff like this 😀 as for the active I wanted to wait for the latest SW update and then revisit the watch and yes we still have them 😁
Go look now!! Samsung giving $200 trade in for the gear s3 and samsung active. A hell of a deal. 176.75 with taxes for the stainless steel 45mm then the smaller sizes go down in price , cant beat it
I was hoping for a big step up from my galaxy watch But just the fact it's a step backwards in battery life puts me off My battery is currently on 33% and I have longer left than the fully charged time you showed in this video for the galaxy watch 3 😲
I'll know for sure in a few days, but in samsungs own manual for the titanium version it literally says it is a titanium band not just a titanium case with a stainless steel band as this video says... They could be lying, in which i will be returning this, but maybe the band is titanium and the like clasp is made of stainless, which would be fine
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Maybe it is different in your country. Our manual keeps mentioning metal band. no mention of titanium apart from the watch body itself. same with the website. Let me know once you have yours and let me know where you are in the world. Thanks again.
@@ALLSTARSPACE so after this post i went to samsung to ask them, they said first yes its a titanium band, and then the next message was metal band/clasp, titanium case.... so yeah i saw "adjusting the titanium band" on like page 13 of the digital manual for the watch. At this point i will see if it feels at all magnetic... Seems like false advertising if their manual that comes in box says titanium band too... :) Didnt mean to sound like a jerk.

@@istayinflint no worries no jerk sound taken 😀 thanks for letting me know. I checked like 20 times to make sure but Samsung is known to offer different versions of their devices in different countries so let’s see 👍
I' have question again: Titanium band can change a size band ?? Because I'm have a small wrist hand and if can a change size I'm buying if not I'm buy a steel ?????
I’m done with Samsung and it’s deceptive marketing I return my Galaxy watch 3 and went back to Apple watch. The reason ECG is only for Samsung phone also returned my Google Pixel 4a . If I would have known that upfront I wouldn’t have never purchased Watch 3 . The Galaxy watch works well with Android 11 had no problems was really enjoying . The main reason I wanted the watch was due to ECG when I seen the software update it’s only for Galaxy phones . Never again Samsung STOP TRYING TO BE LIKE APPLE ANDROID. Just go ahead and get developers for Tizen your own OS .
I was watching the apple livestream and saw that they were using recycled components, do you think samsung should go the same root and if they ever did would it be a copy cat move
Yes Apple announced that last year (or maybe the year before can’t remember now 😂) - I honestly don’t know enough about the process of recycling to know if it is beneficial!
Mr. Muza! That's a very good point. Actually Samsung are already regarded by the environmental groups as the No 1 company for recycling and reduced waste in manufacturing. You can probably Google it, some of their plants literally have zero waste and 97% recycling. As an engineer myself, this is very impressive! I'm always wary though, and Apple are well known for stretching the truth and telling big fat lies. Lol! A lot companies talk recycling, but they talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Another interesting point, you know all the recyclables that go into the green bin outside your house?, Less than 10% of it is recycled. 90% of it is shipped and dumped in 3rd world countries where corrupt governments are paid to keep it. Leaching chemicals often poison local people, but they don't care.
@@brianmsahin You are a very smart and aware individual, although samsung has sucha lead do you still think apple is the bad guy in terms of ecosystem managment, and if they are why hasn't anyone called them out for it
@@mrmuza6683 Well people have called them out on it. Many times. You just have to look. Here, only in September, (2 days ago!) they refused to answer questions in an official UK enquiry into their electronic waste practices. So,, don't believe Apples marketing. www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-15/apple-snubs-u-k-sustainability-inquiry-ahead-of-product-launch
Do y'all get paid by Samsung to make these videos? Or maybe get free tech? Could you please give like, a rough timetable from when you start making videos on RU-vid to when Brands start paying you to make positive reviews? I'd love to give it a try🙂
Basically we pay for every single item we review, the beauty of this is that we have no obligations to any brand. However if you want to grow your channel by just receiving tech items first then I suggest you reach out to brands and see if they put you on the list.
