I tried to use the watch 5 on a baseus wireless charger (QI compatible), "charging paused" appears, I thought it was a problem with the charger but apparently the smartwatch is not compatible
Those chargers won't work because its likely to do with the charging voltage/amps the wireless charger puts out. These small devices are likely requires less charging voltage and current to charge. If it's too much, it can destroy your watch and battery.
All wireless charging products have regulating/managing circuitry on BOTH sides. So if the charging stand isn't gonna work, the phone/watch will just stop accepting power from it. You're not gonna fry it. Also, all current wireless charging standards use 5v, some with higher voltages ONLY IF the device tells it to use higher voltage, through NFC communication, just like how qc3.0 and usb-c PD works. So it's always safe to use, the one problem is Samsung devices actively refusing to charge from non-samsung wireless chargers.
