A negative thing is that you can only see steps taken during the day and not the distance of how long you have walked each day on the actual watch face. There is no complication for distance. This is worse then the Galaxy Watch Active 2 which was Tizen based and had this feature.
Not great, but that's quite common for me Samsung watches. Apparently they take a few days to optimise the battery based on your ideation. @hadeelismaeel8352
The sleep thing is so true I used to wear my GW4C to sleep everyday, and even if I felt well rested, the sleep score used to be less and I used to freak out thinking I hadn't slept well. Then onwards I used to switch off the watch at night and switch it on in the morning, helped in saving battery as well!
I have the Watch 7 44mm, I am a bit dissapointed of the limited software capabilities, the processor could handle way more but he is held back of the primitive software.
Do you mean like app compatibility wise cuz that's the only issue cuz I feel they should give us the freedom To get more apps like twitter, RU-vid etc. But on the other hand if you are an android user and you want a full blown where os experience then from my research only the galaxy watch and oneplus watch 2 are good options and after testing my friends oneplus watch 2 and couple of reddit posts I realised the software on the galaxy watch is significantly better than the oneplus watch So the app issue can be fixed by enabling wireless debugging and sideloading apps. BTW sadly I'm still waiting for the watch 7 to be available in my country 😢
Hell, The first thing I do is disabled all the permissions to Bixby and remove some of the apps I will never use and some bloat apps too. Went into the permission settings and disabled a lot of junk that didn't need to be enabled. Should be able to get 3 to 4 days of battery life now.
@@blackwood6940 I mean, for example, not being able to copy and paste text, or not being able to have multiple tabs in the browser in the background, no history, no favorite website button, no download. They could have easily implemented a second window that opens when you swipe left on the app where you can control everything. No time slider for music. No data management other than music and pictures via Bluetooth via phone. I can't manually install any apps or download or save an image or PDF, only the few slimmed-down apps from the Playstore. I was expecting a tiny smartphone with far less computing power, battery and display, but which can basically do everything a smartphone can do, but that's not the case.
From CHATGPT: "Samsung suddenly removed Powershare, which will certainly be missed in the GW7. It's much better to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it. Furthermore, the GW6 has a much better cost-benefit ratio."
I just got my Ultra today and now I might have to trade-in my watch6 classic for the regular watch7 as the interface is so much smoother. Performance on the watch6 classic is so damn stuttery.
The BP calibration is once a month not "every few days". It is far better than using a cuff every day to take BP. I use it on the watch 5 pro and works quite well. Have compared to BP in a doctors office and was spot on ( though don't expect this level of accuracy always).
Hmm u talking about the 40mm? I have the 44mm, went to sleep with 100%, woke up with like 90%, put it on the charger at like 50% at midnight. Looks like its easily 1.5-2 days, which wasnt the case with my watch4 classic (after 3 years at least)
My battery life is going 2 days with pretty heavy use. (daily 90min bike rides, a workout at the gym, frequent messaging, etc.) And the strap is better than most bands that come in the box, or other bands you may buy on Amazon. If you like metal or leather bands that's more of a style issue than a quality issue. That being said the wireless charging is finicky which is my worst gripe with the watch after a week.
I'm approaching 24hrs since I've had mine. I'm at 33% and I'm not using it any more than my watch 6. At this rate, battery life is worse. I would not be able to get 1.5 days at this rate.
You can tune off phone tracking. I remember seeing that option to let your phone track activities I didn't allow it. My first watch was the "Samsung Gear S3" I have been using Samsung devices since 2016.
Hi. My new Galaxy Watch Seven (connected to the Samsung Phone) count some steps when I'm driving and also in the plane before take off. I have reset the phone but this problem stays the same. IIs there a fix for that?
I used a walking calculator to show how many steps you walk and pretty well matched what I should be getting, and even the average it's fine, so not getting double steps and consistent with each walk
Hi, " Double counting" isn't counting double the steps ;) it just adds a Bit of extra random steps from the phone app which is also counting steps. Check that part of video where I explain how you can test it for yourself ;) The stepcounter on Samsung otherwise is the best out there
Used to buy these Samsung Galaxy watches. Short battery life, between recharging. Now using the Made in China no name models, at one tenth of the Samsung Galaxy. These models are better with medical recordings but battery recharges lasting every several days. Not water proof. Low cost, means contacting every six months to the newest model. With my frequent hospitalization, these watches match the hospital recordings. They give on demand, and also nearly continuous monitoring of my very unstable medical conditions. AliExpress, Amazon, etc.
If I’m honest these are minor issues. I think Apple Watch is better overall but I dislike iPhones so much. I also think Galaxy watch looks a bit ugly. BUT I’ve been waiting for too long so I’m just gonna get it. If it’s bad I’ll update this comment and tell you about it
Watch7 is compatible with the bands of Watch4-5-6 too. So you can do it. I have 3 dark grey band. Milanese, extreme sport, sport. There are S/M-s in the store.
Google Play can only be activated, If you have a Screen lock activated, which Always have Tom BE entered when you start the watch or put it back on the arm.
Nah the GW7 is good, the least buggy watch out of all. Go test your gw6 in a way I described,This is not a problem for only the GW7 but for all of their watches. The double counting isn't huge, so you might have not even noticed it
I heard the battery life still isn't that great. The jury is still out on the overall accuracy of the watch and has it improved from the previous generations poor accuracy.
Accuracy is not improved drastically. On ultra, GPS is much better. Maybe because of bigger batteries, it takes more samples. But if u thinking to upgrade just because of accuracy, I would say lower your expectations.
I recommend doing minimum research and being more accurate. Blood pressure calibration is required every 28 days and not every few days as mentioned. If you're doing a video, provide real details.
Why works bloodpresure and ecg whit my 25 dollar watch from china whitout phone even blood sugar can do it. Comon Samsung make it better for 699 dollar or is it 500 dollar or 510 .
Sir, please take a potatoe or a Banana and try to measure BP or ECG of it... It will say your Potatoe is Alive and has a great blood pressure 😂 I'm not kidding, the sensors on your china watch are just green lights that blink
