I was able to do this, thanks largely to this video! First problem for me was the screws were incredibly hard to move- even with heat, but eventually they came out. Then I encountered a problem I thought would be a deal-breaker. After unhooking the 5 connectors on the board- I could NOT get my board/battery to pry up at all. I wouldn't budge. I don't know if it's glued in or what. Every attempt to pry it up felt like I was going to break something and it wouldn't move. So I managed to simply unscrew the one middle screw, and gently lift the board up by itself. I just had to be careful with the power button cable attached- but it was easy to just lay the board to the side still attached by cable, then easily lift up and replace the battery. It actually felt like a shortcut as it went very easily from there. (And since I never lifted that whole housing out, I never had to maneuver it back in past those 5 ribbon cables.) What a relief when it powered on and worked! Thanks for this tutorial!

I had also a problem with my active 2 it didn't start at all. only charching and black screen i found out the flat cable of the powerbutton was broken. made a bypass with one small cable and works perfect now. so take advantage of it.if your watch looks dead.

In my case my galaxie watch active 2 don't charge, I think it's probably the cable but it can be in the smartwatch, do you know if i can buy a wireless receiver ??

A thought... You showed B7000 glue but should you be using the 8000 glue? Active 2 has a metal housing to a plastic back.

Hey i have an issue with my active 2 if you know any fix, couple days ago the lower part of the screen and the touch bezel stop responding, i opened the watch like your tutorials and i found some water just after i opened the back cover, i took off the board like you did here but i cant find any corrosion on the connectors (connectors are clean)i found some on the back of the sensor but nothing else, where do i check for the screen connector ? i figured it is corrosion because one day i was cleaning my hands with hot water and probably some steam got again in the watch and the lower part of the screen and touch bezel started working again but for 2 or 3 minutes and it stopped again. Any advice on my issue? Where should i check for more corrosion ?

A friend gave me a watch.... according to their receipt, I have a Samsung Galaxy watch active 2 model number SM - 500nzsaxar....40mm...... other than the 40 mm I can't find anything that tells me what type of battery to replace in there.... the closest I have come is everything that points to 40 mm says r830.... looking through the comments you said the r820 & the r830 are the same just one is a little bigger... however Amazon distinctly says this or that battery is not for the R830 or R820 ( with a big red X or a big green check mark on the item to show the difference).... have you ever dealt with this model? Is it an r830? What replacement battery model number am I looking for? Thanks in advance

How to know the battery needs to be replaced? Tbe watch was not charging, the lamp blinking, and the local service center said the mother board need to be changed without opening the watch.

My active 2 charges..it's at 100% but as soon as I take it off the charger it cuts off and won't turn back on:( while at the water park yesterday it showed needed to cool down and this problem started. Any suggestions on what to do??? The back cover became lose as well

If you're watching this, please don't use any metal tool as a pry on the board. You could fry components.

jesus they buried the battery as far as they could have possibly buried it in layers of plastic and boards. planned obsolescence. i used to love samsung but they taken many notes from Apple.

Apro reclamo per capire quale sia l'errato utilizzo. Mi richiama un'operatrice che imputa l'errato utilizzo al fatto che lo smartwatch è ossidato all'interno. Eh grazie le rispondo. Se è entrata acqua certo che è ossidato all'interno. Uno smartwatch ip68 dato per 5 atmosfere che prende acqua in una piscina. È la colpa è la mia. Garanzia rifiutata. È l'ultimo prodotto Samsung che acquisto e sarà mia premura inoltrare le comunicazioni del centro assistenza a tutti gli sventurati che vogliono acquistare un prodotto marchiato Samsung.
