excellent review, however you do not need to keep your arm extended to record continuous heart rate during your activity. Choose your workout, wait 10 seconds to record heart rate, then heart rate will continue to update and be visible inside a little heart in the corner of the screen while you work out.
It's nice. Good for fitness tracking. Would look nicer if it also comes with circular and rectangular screens. I like the idea of block modular smartwatch. It comes with three display/screens. It has fitness and activity tracker as well. It's fully customizable. So you choose and control its features which you think necessary to your lifestyle. Connect the block to other blocks you want. Choose. Play. Upgrade. - block modular smartwatch -
When it comes to tracking movement you must register which wrist you are wearing it on first, it controls sensitivity. It's a lot more accurate than the fitbit in my opinion.
You're kidding right? S Health beats the Fitbit app in everything there is, if you go for a run it will record the weather, it also allows you to. change everything about your watch straight from S Health.
Does anyone know if there are better options out there since this video came out? I'm looking for something that combines smartwatch and smartband features.
why don't wear it on the underside of your wrist? so the Heart Rate Monitore thingy should "easyer" find your puls. or not? Or wear it higher and tighter on your arm, like on the upper arm. What i dislike is the flimsy band ( from looking at it ) and the locking mechanism looks like they wanted to reinvent the wheel.
So confused, you tossed a few fitness trackers in the beginning but state that Samsung doesn't do as well as the others with fitness tracking. In the end, it's all about what you really want: a real fitness device, or a cool looking toy that doesn't track that well?
Well you should not see it as a smartwatch but a fit with smartwatch options. If you view it as a smartwatch then yes it is not good enough. As a fit. It takes it to a new level because you have does extra options. Like controlling your music.
the problem is, a lot of those other bands don't have the HRM feature, and to me knowing where you're HR is at is a big plus during a workout... but then again, from your experience and some other people's videos, it looks like the Gear Fit doesn't do a very good job of reading HR anyways.
actually, I should have updated my comment... I ended up buying the Gear Fit and have done several cardio sessions with BOTH the Gear Fit and a chest strap HRM... and the Gear Fit is actually pretty much on par with the chest strap. However, the Gear Fit was no good when I did weights...
Hi have you found one that DOES measure your HR and fairlyu accurately? I have a Polar fitbit thing but no HR. Stupidly, I just bought it and assumed it would have HR. Now looking for a better one
