I actually had this same issue but.....tmobile did fix the issue for me I spoke with a tech rep and they said the same thing. I have both devices with the same carrier. which made it a little easier.

Hello I have a note 8 from sprint And want to get a gear s3 I from tmobile all I want is my phones calls to be faworded to my watch when i don't pick up my phone does I got to call tmobile for that or I just do the last step u did at the end off the video .... also what about text sms does their forward to the watch as well ?

Can you use a sim card version and use it as bluetooth only for calls? Meaning no line to watch just phone.

Hi. Can I connect samsung galaxy s8 to gear.? First model.

I downloaded an input alternative that works a zillion times better than drawing letter by flipping letter or the crappy voice feature: MODALITY. It's a mind-shift for sure but works once you get used to it (they claim 50wpm). Developed FOR Tizen OS; they didn't even bother with Android since nobody's made an Android-GearS comparable.

T-Mobile have Digits and you can use up to 4 different numbers on one phone. All you need is the T-Mobile One or One Plus plan.

..I bought the Bluetooth only version and when I try to make calls from it it automatically ends the call and the call is on my cell phone. I can answer incoming calls but I can't make calls on the watch..is this normal?

Whenever my phone rings on my S7 Edge the phone auto answers. I really don't like this feature. I have no idea how to disable it. Ever since I paired my S3 classic my cell auto answers on one ring. Do you have a second physical phone with T-Moblie? I have Sprint and I was told that the LTE Gear S3 from another carrier wouldn't work meaning I wouldn't even be able to pair it. Since Sprint doesn't support LTE this time around. I was going trying AT&T(Gear S3) Sprint Note5.

How do I select how many times the phone rings before my Gear S3 picks up? It happens so fast now I don't even have time to say reject or swipe left ... grrrr ... there must be a setting for this, but I can not find it ... HELP .. Just Doin'

i'm trying to figure out if i buy the lte version s3 but i dont get a plan, am i able to make calls AND reply to text messages using a non samsung phone using bluetooth of course i know i can get text and phone calls on the watch with the regular wifi version but i cannot reply to messages because its missing the message icon on the watch because of non samsung phone..it does show a messaging icon if i connect to a samsung phone even if the sim isnt in the phone but thats another story..but it doesnt show a message icon/app if i connect with a non samsung phone aarrgh!! my gear s2 (LTE version) does show the messaging icon but its with a non samsung phone..the question is do you think i'll have better luck with a s3 LTE version using a non samsung phone and have the messages icon on the watch..i'm not gonna using a samsung phone in the near future (unless i get a free S8 of course)..sorry for the long story ..cool vids subscribed

damn...it seems the gear s3 frontier is in two version..with or without sim card!!that's why in Malaysia,I can't have a separate number or call forwarding or any fooling things to be attached to the gear..It's only can be connected through Bluetooth connection and the Samsung phone must be present always for me to receive or make calls through the fooking gear s3..!!!

not true I have my watch connection set to always on in the mobile setting and I can receive phone calls made to my watch and phone calls made to my phone at the same time

You mentioned that you still get notifications when ur disconnected from your phone via LTE. I have the same setup as you with T mobile and Sprint, I got the call forwarding working but how do u get ur text and notification while not connected?

Question. I just got the gears3 frontier and now I dont receive video calls on my samsung galaxy s8 plus. My Verizon account said I have number sharing plan? But my watch has it's own #...BUT I also get all calls and messages on both devices which is also weird.... Is the gear the reason for not being able to make video calls now? IM SO LOST. Tia♡

my watch has stopped giving me the option to answer calls when it's paired with my phone. it won't ring at all, it'll just notify me when I've missed the call. text messages are coming in as normal. have you experienced this or have any answer for me? thank you

Hey Just doin are getting you call waiting notifications on their Gear S3? I'm using my Gear S3 frontier, I'm on a call via my phone and I hear an incoming beep on my Bluetooth headset but my watch doesn't vibrate or show caller id notification....Anyone else experiencing this? The gear fit 2 has no issues with this, as it shows all incoming calls even when on a call

In each of your Gear S3 videos, you've had a different watch band installed. Lol. Good stuff. Cant wait to play around with my Frontier (AT&T). The wife and I exchanged watches (hers is the fancy wooden type), but we made a deal not to open them until Christmas. Complete torture.
