I bought the soundbar, and it sounded terrific until I updated the firmware to 1003. After that the signal would drop at least 15 - 20 times during a movie no matter what source I was using. This rendered the soundbar almost completely useless and I returned the Samsung N950 for a full refund. It's too bad because it has a lot of potential as long as Samsung learns to do better quality assurance on their firmware updates.
I have the Hw-k950 and it started strong and has become a horror show. With tons of connection issues,requiring hard shutdowns up to 2 times a week. Plus the lack of on going support
How do you deal with the HW-K Mark? I keep hoping that the issues will subside or resolve but they do not seem to. I have these constant issues too especially with HDMI handshake problems (no video signal needing a power off/on) etc. My wife is ready to kill me and I have run out of excuses for this soundbar (have tried blaming other A/V equipment but it clearly seems to be the bar). Thought for a quick second about upgrading to the HW-N but cannot find any reviewer comparing to the HW-K issues so simply cannot trust it at this point.
How in the hell did sound bars start costing this much?!!! The top sound bar a few years ago was around 500 bucks. If there's a diamond in it, then can see the price hike.
I have a question.. If I only plug in the Sub and the Bar and not the rear surround speakers, does it still give off 5.1 just from the Bar itself? Also does it support HDR passthrough?
Great review on Samsung soundbar Pictures. Could you review some SONY Soundbar pictures, then a SAMSUNG Picture Vs SONY Picture....would help the entire planet make the choice of which picture to select.
