I went to the store to purchase Q800B, and came home with Q950B after being blown away by it's audio performance in movies! AT LEAST 30% improvement in audio compared to the 800. And now, I'm going through RU-vid to check what the reviews say. Lol. For anyone interested, this is a masterpiece. Gives almost near identical theatre experience. Vocals, soundstage, bass everything is just Wow!
I had the JBL and returned it for the q950. The q950 is on point and solid! I live in the USA and Sonys 5.1.2 bar sells for $999 not on sale. That price you got this for is a really good deal. Some fun facts I learned about the bar: less than 700 watts for the system ( JBL is 1100 watts), 3 speakers of dialogue ( 1 center, 1 on each far end of the bar), 15 speakers in the bar, 22 speakers in the system
I had a chance to hear q800 in a electronic store and it gave me a real thought to sell my marshall Stanmore 2 which i use for music in the kitchen and to buy the q800 for both streaming services watching and music listening in the kitchen. I would just imagine how exciting is the q900 series
Thanks buddy! Can't comment on Q symphony as I've not tried it on my setup - should just add extra drivers into the mix bettering the experience. As for my TV, it's the Samsung 55Q9FN
@@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for the reply. Mine soundbar should arrive in 2 days. Can't wait to try it. Q9FN is a great tv. Keep up the good work, friend.
I am considering Samsung Q990B Soundbar. Have you made a review about that? Do you think none hdmi 2.1 input on the soundbar is a deal breaker? Because on reddit people complain about 3 sec input sound delay on ps5 when connected to tv hdmi 2.1 port. If connected to soundbar do you not get the hdmi 2.1 benefits.
Nice review I too own the Samsung q950a and the display is a joke and I noticed like mine the bar gets dusty very easy. Sounds great and has a lot of features which is a plus just the price is steep. I paid 1499.00 US ouch. Great review again.
Where did you get the bench the soundbar and TV are on? I'm moving to a new flat so I'm looking for good furniture to put my TV etc. on, and it looks good!
Hello, I know this comment is off topic, but I am needing some help regarding a monitor for PS5. I strictly play competitively on Rainbow Six Siege (I am obviously looking for the 120 frames) I have been leading onto potentially getting an IPS panel as I had tremendous difficulty with seeing on a TN panel. I’m not sure if it was my eyesight, or if the monitor I had was just ridiculously dull, but I previously had the BenQ Zowie XL2411K and it just wasn’t for me. I am looking for a quality monitor that will provide me the PS5’s maximum frame rate and a low response time, preferably between 1-4ms. I feel as although I’m quite stuck between the BenQ Morbiuz EX2510 and the AOC 24G2U. I have seen a couple of your videos, but I am still struggling to find out out what monitor may be the best pick for me. I am afraid to opt for another TN panel as my XL2411K had that and after hours and hours of tweaking different settings, I just couldn’t find something that was comfortable enough for my eyes. Needless to say, I basically require a long term monitor that will be compatible with the PS5 for strictly competitive gaming. Any response would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
My pick would be the AOC for PC, but the BenQ would be good for you, due to HDR support on console - btw if you're going via Amazon, links in the description give me commission :)
@@TotallydubbedHD Thank you, I am strictly console. I see the EX2510 has a 165Hz version (EX2510S) Do you think it’d be worth opting for that version just for the “sharpness” addition, because I understand 165Hz for a monitor is overkill for a console, but would you recommend it if it makes much difference? I am someone that likes as many options as possible
i am about to buy Hw 950a in a day or two . Any other issue you've faced with this sounbar for LG tv's . I have a LG c9 tv and i will connect all my devices(ps5, 4k bluray player) directly to my LG c9 Tv through earc and then select passthrough in Tv audio settings . I belive you are also doing the same . My main concern is that i get full fat Dolby atmos through Lg c9's passthrough mode. Please suggest . or any other suggestions you would give with your experience would be very helpfull. I had earlier Hw q950 t and it gave me lot of troubles , i am just worried that Hw 950a does not give me same troubles as it is a serious investment with respect to my Lg c9 .
I have purchased q990b after such great reviews. I just wanted to know about 2 surround speakers. Inspite of putting rear channels at highest level of 6, I am getting very less sound in surround mode. Is it the default way of surround speakers?
I am having this problem as well. I do feel like it has more something to do with the sound mixing of the things we're watching, and less of an issue with the rear speakers instead.
Great review as usual , last time I commented on one of your soundbar reviews it was the hw-q70r which at the time I got on sale for €500 . Now I've decided to upgrade , Originally i ordered the hw - 930b as that was €512 after discount and samsung cash back but ive now ordered the hw-q990b which after discount and cash back from samsung cost me €758 , so will probably cancel my first order or just keep for my other tv. Though not too many reviews out there and they are written no videos, do yiu think you'll be reviewing one yourself?
Thanks buddy, glad you enjoyed it! As for the review, would like to, but I've not heard back from Box nor Samsung in relation to that model, despite having requested it over a month ago. So, we'll see!
@@TotallydubbedHD hope you get to review it soon ...I actually cancelled my order as I found it €100 euros cheaper so I will pay €650 for it , comes tomorrow so looking forward to testing it out and comparing it to my Q70r .
Good question; effectively you'll want to plug anything like a Blu-ray player directly into your soundbar, rather than the TV (if it doesn't support Atmos). But for apps, I'm not quite sure - I think here, you will need a TV that supports Atmos as it needs to send the metadata to the soundbar over HDMI. Best looking that one up on Google and letting me/us know what you find :)
The soundbar supports atmos and dtsx sooooo doesn't matter if tv does or not people. Just get a decent blu ray player to play movies that support those formats as well.
hi,i need help with my new monitor mainly for csgo, which one should i get:AOC 24G2ZE,AOC AG251FZ2E,IIYAMA GB2590HSU-B1 or Dell Gaming Monitor S2522HG,ive watched alot of videos but i just cant decide, dell is the cheapest for me,then the 24g2ze,then the iiyama one ant most expensive is the ag251fz2e,based on just pure performances for csgo and competitive gameplay, what should i get out of these?
@@TotallydubbedHD i did actually watched it already, but the thing is i can get just one of these 4 i mentioned, like out of those 4 what would be the best one for competitive csgo?
@@TotallydubbedHD Yes but unfortunately in my city doesent have on stock Q950A, only Q900A and I can order SWA-9500S as rear speakers. Is it a noticeable difference ? Anyway, great review, good job and thank u!
