I was expecting to see the 2X portrait on my Galaxy S22 Ultra with the July update but nothing sadly. I've been digging to see if there's any indication of that possibility but I haven't found any news about it. I really hope Samsung does bring it to the S22 Ultra.

@@Aakashh_Sharma The S21 Ultra has always had the 2X portrait. Then Samsung removed it on the S22 Ultra and the S23 Ultra only offering 1X and 3X portrait. It only brought it back on the S23 Ultra with the June update but not on the S22 Ultra yet.

@@K1ngq4t this is because he's not telling the complete story there. The shutter speed didn't improve that much. If you download the camera assistant app and set it to prioritize speed over quality, then it will improve the shutter speed. But by doing this your picture quality takes a big hit.

I hate that I won't be upgrading to one, but the discontinued the express card slot, and I really need it. I wish they would bring back the NOTE and market it for professional/business application. I take photos and video and need to be able to separate it from my phone.

A lot of these are copies of long existing iOS features but it is good Samsung is focusing on updates, hope they keep it up for old and new, zero reason any provider should continually update products

Just tried out the capture speed settings and it's definitely faster but picture quality takes a hit. It's the same with cameras in general when you choose faster shutter speeds. I took sample pictures with all 3 capture speed settings and found prioritize speed takes better quality photos than the balanced setting. I set it back on quality because I rather have better pictures

You can assimilate data at a much faster rate than average. Fortunately, youtube offer the "speed" adjustment setting. I just wish I could lock it on speed @1.25 for the majority of videos.

Long term Samsung user, with s22 ultra and the z fold 4 being my daily driver. With military discount at 200.00 off, and trading in my s22 ultra, I just got the s23 ultra for 249.00!! Best yet, I got the red version!!!!!! It comes in 4 days!!! It pays waiting 3 months or so after it js released to get the ultimate discount

You missed out the part where you explain that it's so fast because of the camera assistant app. If you download the camera assistant and set it to prioritize speed over quality, then it will improve the shutter speed. THANKS YOU sooo much for the info about the "Camera Assistant" app I didn't hear about. This solved my long lasting problem when I clicked on 5x (on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra) it did often just use digital zoom from the 1x-lens (when it though it's to dark or to near like 5m). But now I can deactivate this automatic lens chose 😍

Great info for a Samsung newbie! Question concerning the Gallery- As a long time IOS user, I obviously had all photos in the cloud, but I also have all of them in Google Photos. I know there is a way to transfer a few photos at a time from google to the gallery, but I have about 17,000 photos and videos in google. IS THERE A METHOD TO BRING ALL MY GOOGLE PHOTO CONTENT INTO THE GALLERY THAT IS NOT SO CUMBERSOME? Thanks!
