Samsung PS43D450 Picture shuts down after 1 minute bn44-00442b psu type 

I have the same TV and the picture shuts off periodically while the audio stays on. I checked the solder joints on those 2 legs you mentioned in 13:37 and they had hairline cracks . Soldered them and the TV is working now. Many thanks.

Thank you for this, I couldn't see any bad solder joints but re soldered everything that I could nod it is working again. Wouldn't go for more than 10 mins before but is now working for about 5 hrs straight with no issues. I suppose time will tell, but to say I haven't replaced anything and it's working again is brilliant news. Thanks again

I have a Hannspree computer monitor with similar symptoms; of course being a computer monitor, sound doesn't enter into the equation, but the "flashlight test" indicates the display is still on, just the back lights are out. I plan on taking your advice and checking the logic board next, and thanks for showing me how to isolate and test the PS board

Some feedback on these plasma tv's. When they shut down.. observe the logic board LED "heartbeat" Whats likely happening is that the Y sus is shutting down due to those cold solder connections and when that happens the logic detects this and shuts down the power supply and the LED on the logic starts to blink on and off very slowly. ( normal is on/off every second, fault is on/off every 4-5 seconds ) Thats why the PS stays on when you force it to stay on. The logic cant shut it down when it detects faults...

Great video, i have the same tv and same problem, and when i ground PS on pin 5 the power supply stays constant. I removed the y-sub board and also found poor soldering. it has being working for the last 20 minutes with no power loss, so fingers crossed

So did you actually have to replace the Y-sus board and/or the Y-scan board? Did the main power board have any effect on the initial problem of turning off after awhile after being turned on?

I have the 51" model.Works about 1 minute or less and then starts clicking the relay.After few repeats the led blinks 2 times for five repeats.After some hour might start again for a while and then clicks again.I suspect the smd zener diodes in the larger side pcb this one which connects to the green pcb.Tomorrow i will replace these 7 pieces of zeners and will see next.

Good morning, I have the same problem on a samsung tv ps43d450. I would like to replace the y-board, I must take into account the revision of the board (Rev1.7) and the final letter ppcb number or I can also take a rev1.9 and different letter. Thanks so much

I have Samsung 42”plazma.my vs and va going down as soon i plug it in. Found that on y main blown one 10om resistor. Replased it ,after pluged in saw spark on same resistor.it was dead after, and voltages went down aswell. When i unpluged y buffer from y main voltages did not dropped even with dead resistor. After replaced one more resistor and pluged in power, voltages were ok, and resistor was ok, as y bufer was disconnected from y main. So how to locate what is wrong, y buffer or y main?

So, you could only find 3-4 bad solder joints?? That's was the only problem?/ You did not even change any capasitors?? So, where exactly were the bad solder joints? in which capasitors?? Thankjs a lot, youtheman =)

Hi there, thanks for the sharing your video, I have shut off problem with my Samsung Plasma Television 43″ PS43E490, Some time it works for days without any problem and some time it shut off after 20 minutes and Red Light flash 5 times, If i remove the power cable and reconnect the cable again then tv does come on. So it doesn't happen all the time. I really appreciate if you could help me to fix this problem.

i have a 42'' samsung plasma the modle number is pn42c450B1D the ploblem i have is when i turn power on is it blinks few times and clicks then the red light stays on but tv dont turn onand if i unplug the buffer bord and the other bord on other side of tv then the green light blinks few times then goes out and stays out and if i unplug just the bord on other side of tv and leave the buffer boed and bord attach to that plug in then same thing the green light flashes cuple times then goes out and stays out and if i unplug main boed then nothing hapens and if i test high voltecge on multie meter it goes to 3.5 then down to ooooo and when i test the low voltage it just stays at 000 any ideas
