I like this TV. I just got it home yesterday and I'm falling in love with the picture quality. I'm not a hardcore techy so none of that appeals to me. It's a smart TV and that's all I really wanted because my old TV wasn't and I was in desperate need of an upgrade. Got it on sale for Black Friday at $899.

Thanks for the review. I think that this is the best TV made that doesn't include local dimming, and that makes it the best choice for me. I've found that local dimming's side effects are worse than the shallow blacks that we get in the absence of local dimming. Blooming, distorted colors, and delays are way too distracting, so I will try this one out.

Just got this tv. I am very happy with it, looks great. Only complaint is the remote but he just showed an alternative remote that can work with it. Also i do notice in my bright room i can see my shadow in the tv or parts of my house. Bit late now but what would you guys choose from lg qned81 or this tv both very similar price at moment on sale.

Steve, I found this TV -55" at Best Buy a few says ago-$699. 🤩It's still boxed, but, your vid helped me to understand this thing a bit more. I'm not a hardcore TV aficionado, but do require something beyond decent. I am also not a gamer, but maybe momma will pick up a system for when the adult kiddos visit. I'll look into a nice remote and sound bar also. Thanks for the knowledge.

This tv is such a underdog. It strikes a perfect balance of everything. I compared x82k, x90k, lg nano cell, lg qned and what not. Kept on brainstorming for months. Finally landed on this.

@@harunsenkardes9107 yes. Its been 3 months and i have no issues. Everything is fine and meets expectations. And one more pro is that it has enough brightness. And a suggestion dont go for nano qled qn85 or qn90 as i felt them to be super bright and irritating for long time watch hours. A con is that initially i felt that there were some bleeding issues but later got confirmed that it was the picture only and nothing to do with panel. I will give u a big yes if u r planning to go for it

if you buy lg qned i say buy Samsung q70c , qned 80 or 81 is aweful in black scenes, if you wanna buy lg tv buy nano 90 or qned 85 local dimming and back light in qned 80 and 81 is a graet loose specially for gamers

Just returned my 65" Philips PUS 6000th series TV over this and I've loved this Samsung's TV overall. If I need to find something negative, it should be that it's not supporting Steam controller anymore, the only controller I've own. And I've Genelec speakers, so I can't really say anyting about Dolby, because I couldn't care less about that.

I recently got this TV, 55Q70C watching shows had me in absolute awe! I ran into picture/graphics quality issue on my ps5, after playing around with the TV settings I was finally able to get the best picture out of it. I must say though, this TV does not upscale well otherwise it’s fantastic. As you said, on sale it’s very well worth it.

Also a nice thing about this tv for the ps5 you can control the ps5 home screen through the remote. Another convenient thing isI don’t have to individually turn off both the ps5 and the tv. Just turning the tv off/on will turn my ps5 off/on as well so long as I’m using the same source

Please tell me how. I can’t seem to get the 120hz.. I do have a hdmi 2.1 attached to hdmi port 4. I have 120hz enabled on ps5, but I only get 60fps

PS5 only shows 120Hz on specific games. Once you play them make sure it’s set to high frame rate

@@EclipzeV1 Only specific games support 120fps. On those specific games, you also must have VRR enabled to get 120fps.

What would you say is objectively better between this tv and the Sony X85K 75? What would you choose personally? These are the 2 I'm trying to decide between. I went into the electronics store with the intentions of purchasing the sony, but the guy there pointed out to me that the images on the sony are choppier than the other tvs. I never noticed it until he pointed it out. I don't know if it's just something they changed in the settings or input they were using just to get me to purchase another tv with higher profit margins for them. But the Sony did have a better picture. Did you notice that the sony tvs are like this when doing you're tests?

Hi Steve, thanks for the great review.. I am confused between Q70C vs Q60C .. I watch your videos regularly and understand Q60C has better contrast.. also I won’t use the TV for gaming so I believe refresh rate is not an issue in comparison with Q60C which has only 60hz. I found a great deal where I can both Q60C and Q70C almost the same price here in Dubai.. but I would like to go with your suggestion. Could you please help me choose one between these two models? I really appreciate it.. thank you!

@@refikozukurt8059in its class, its the best. But if I was to go back in time, instead of buying the Q70c I’d save up more for a higher grade TV. Don’t get me wrong, it works fine. My expectations could have been high, but it’s upscaling performance is not good at all. It’s lacking in clarity and sharpness. I had a technician come over and he said it’s 100% fine and normal. I went to the store and ran the same tests with a Samsung employee, and he agreed with me about the blurriness present in pictures, even after taking steps back to view it from further, blurriness was still there. On another note, I got the 55” if I’m not mistaken a higher grade model with 43” or 48” would be perfect. 55” seems to stretch the picture far too much that causes these blurriness.

I love your reviews. The q70c in 65” is the one I was thinking about. Question: would seeing the backlight even matter when using colored LEDs behind the TV? I have them on all my TVs because is make the picture pop. Keep up the great work.

Got this TV open box for 700 bucks. 65'. It's an absolutely amazing TV. 120 hz is game changer for pc content. Except white spots on some dark scenes -they are awful, but i don't really care.

This is my gaming tv. Great price and excellent performance. Game mode has only 6,6ms input lag @ 1080p, 1440p and 4k. If you turn on hdr the input lag goes up to 11,2ms which is not a problem at all for me.

Yes, it is possible and you can do it from the game mode options. I immediately changed it, because the colours looked way too saturated.

Hey Steve, I think a necessary comparison would be to compare the CU8000 vs the Q70 because both are 120hrz panels but both use different processors. However the price difference is significant for the budget minded consumer. A difference of about $600 The Question is how does the pictures compare? Advise, thanks!

Th CU8000 is a 60Hz panel with 120Hz motion rate to smooth out movies

There’s this LG oled called the a2 it’s only 4k 60 but it does have Dolby vision and it’s only 600 for a 48 inch and I’m not sure if I should get this that supports all the ps5 features or the oled one??

Bot are great, the LG has better gaming features and 4HDMI 2.1 the Sony colors are more natural, just can’t beat the color science that they use but is limited to 2 HDMI 2.1 and Google TV so not as automated when you plug devices into it.

I got this TV yesterday - i am frustrated by a few things in the software. Firstly - the available apps are very very limited where i live. I am based in Dubai, and this product is geo restricted, meaning in the UAE I do not have the ability to down load apps like bbc iplayer or peacock. I can get around this by resetting the whole tv and accessing the hidden menu to change the region- but then i don't have the ability to get local apps to my region like TOD / Bein. secondly - there is no gaming tab on mine. Again, in this region, i guess that it must be removed. thirdly - there is no samsung TV plus app pre installed. Which is outrageous given this is a big selling point for samsung. and no - it can't be downloaded from the store because, you guessed it, it is geo restricted. All in all it means i have a TV that does very little of what i want/paid for.

Samsung are typically around 9.7 - 10 ms

The input lag in gaming mode is 6,6ms @ 1080p, 1440p and 4k. If you also turn on HDR the input lag increases to 11,2ms which is no problem for me at all.

i always buy lg tvs , lg tvs sony tvs are great , but this time i bought this tv first time buying qled of Samsung this tv is awesome for bright room even with great setting for calibration you can calibrate your own like calibration, game mode is awesome without any problem only problem is , color tone its not problem for me but the most people they don't like it i like really high color tone specially blue and green ones conclusion is for the first time buying a mid range tv even without local dimming its awesome specially contrast and black level even this tv has hdmi black level that can show blacks real deeper like oleds 👌🤝

I've had Samsung TVs for 15 years or more. My last one lasted me a good 9 years. I got a new 85" Q70c but annoyingly the supplier dropped the price £200 the week after I bought it and didn't give me a 5 year warranty. Samsung don't provide one bought via the supplier either.

How many hours was it used? Do you live in an are with a lot of lightings storms, was it plugged into a good power strip? The point is there’s variables for everyone

@@TechSteve Almost 800 hours of use, I live in a region with electrical fluctuations, but the TV was connected to a power protector.

Got the 85 inch version today, and this review popped up. For the price, you can't beat it as a second TV, but after having the 8K QN900B for the past 6 months in the main room, the difference in sharpness is notable.

The q80b does have a more advanced led arrangement though and that translates to better colors and viewing angles, but worse contrast and uniformity (due to the IPS ADS pixels instead of VA pixels). But other than that it's pretty close
