I had a different model and this noise started 4-5 days ago...driving me fricken crazy.... I did the defrost (w/hairdryer, not heat gun). I could not visibly see a fan cage like you did, however, after the defrost, the noise stopped. Well done putting this video up Michael, well done!
thank you for your post! I have been plagued by the ice maker over frosting, even though we use the ice and water service regularly. Just recently it started with the clicking sound.
This was exactly the problem I was having for two days and didn't know what it was. Decided to check on youtube and found your video. Thanks for showing what the issue is and the solution. All is good now.
That freezer is just a bad design. It’s always freezing over and so I quit using it and just bought bag ice we have been doing that for over a year now and all of a sudden it starts knocking it’s so frozen over I can’t seem to pull the basket out anymore but at least when I get the basket out I will know where to focus my attention thank you for the video.
Well i've had this new fridge for a month paid over $2k and i'm getting this noise.. I keep the door closed at all times , no kids so im operating it correctly
I have a very loud knocking noise every about 20 seconds. I shut the fridge off for about three month (I used an alternate fridge) in case it was ice buildup somewhere. After three months I turned the fridge back on and the knocking started again.
I haven't had to do it lately (8+ months?) But I also try to shut off my ice maker when I'm not using it in hopes that will help. I also have the same exact fridge in a rental property and the "condenser/sealed system" went bad and I had to replace it. This unit was only a year old so in general, I will NEVER buy a samsung fridge again. SOrry for the late reply :)
