If you're interested in getting a Samsung Refrigerator of any kind or this one specifically, here's what I thought. #fridgereview #refrigerator #fridge
I find this review overly positive. I have owned a similar Samsung and it was one of the worst purchases we've ever made. There have been numerous problems that simply cannot be fixed, which began just as soon as the warranty expired. I have spent countless hours researching repairs, have purchased certain parts and installed them after a great deal of trouble (including having to buy 2 large coolers to use while dismantling the freezer compartment). In neither case did the repair help. I had been reluctant to call an appliance repairman because of the expected high cost. But finally I did resort to calling an experienced service repairman. He listened to all the stories of what I had been through, and in the end he did not even examine the Samsung because he knew it would be prohibitively expensive to partially repair. The two issues are: 1) large amount of water leaks under the large tray and partly turns to ice, which must be periodically mopped up before it overflows out the front (believe me, I've tried everything to fix this); and 2) freezer stopped cooling and is now above 40degrees. This has meant throwing out lots of food. So we have not had a freezer for months, and at last are ready to discard this extremely expensive refrigerator. The repairman informed me that it would cost nearly $1000 for him to remove the unusually complex 3-way compressor valve and solder multiple copper pipes to install a new one. He advised getting a new refrigerator. The problem is that I do not consider this Samsung "old"; I just consider it of quite poor design. This experienced repairman agreed that it is best to avoid a Samsung. I blame Samsung for designing in this unusual complex compressor valve, instead of using a simpler more typical and reliable valve. I could live with the idiotic water pooling under the tray, but cannot continue without a freezer. Very poor refrigerator brand.
Great review. We will be buying the Samsung, French Door (4 Door), Stainless, with beverage center, today. Best Buy has it on sale for $2,399, that is $700 off.
Beware man had the same refrigerator from Samsung in the ice maker quit working after 2 months been battling Samsung this whole time to get it replaced or my money back good luck for yours. Rather than the ice maker issue the fridge is really amazing.
I’m so scared about this issue that’s whole point on why I paid extra for ice maker. Just left store after purchase this refrigerator. We’re they able to help you?
We just got that fridge - I have a question I was hoping you would please answer. When we open up the “French doors” the left side always closes when you let go of the door (I don’t understand why it doesn’t stay open), but the right side will stay open (in any position) which is favorable. Do your doors stay open until you decide to close them? Thank you.
Just purchased same fridge. How’s yours working for you so far. Been seeing good & bad reviews. Didn’t even realize how bulky the left door is until now. Welp.
Not the best fridge I've ever had. Outside panel (aka dispenser panel) stopped working just in the 6th month from purchase. Next time I'll consider another brand.
I would recommend it if you can overlook a few things! The bad things might really bother some people but other people might be ok with it :) I hope that answers your question!
@@abii32 As far as I know it is still working, but I must admit I have moved now and am getting a new fridge soon. Maybe another refrigerator review coming soon :) I personally did not get the same refrigerator but that is completely preference. It is a solid fridge :)
Yes it has an ice maker, I am shopping and it was on the list. I saw it at the store. Also he mentioned turning off the ice maker with the digital panel.
How's your experience after 2 years of use? I'm considering buying one, but I've found a lot of negative feedback. Issues with ice maker, temperature, etc. Thanks for the video, it was the best one I could find 😄
@@stopkarinka nope, I decided to go with a LG, side by side model. Sadly I couldn't find any more reviews at that time. I really loved the design of the Samsung though...
@@keyboardman666 oh okay. Are you happy with it? We just bought Samsung fridge freezer with French door and waiting for delivery but all those reviews.. don’t know what to expect now🤭
@@stopkarinka I'm happy with the LG so far. You can upload a video of your fridge when you get it and tell your experience. I'm interested to know how the new models compare to the previous ones
@@keyboardman666 haha let’s see if I can do one) we got it delivered last week but it didn’t fit through the door so we had to book a “door off” service. 🤞😄 thank you anyways ! Have a beautiful day!
I do show the water coming out of the dispenser in the video. Does that answer your question? Or are you asking how fast the water comes out of the dispenser?
@@SuperExpert Yes sorry, I meant how fast does it come out the dispenser? Because the ice comes out just fine but the water on the otherhand takes a while, or doesn't come out at all. I got the fridge last night if that helps.
@@twoDie4 Mine seems to come out about 1oz per second which is pretty good I think! Yea that doesn't sound fast though...is there a support line that could help see if it's normal?
@@SuperExpert Minor update, I've decided to just replace the fridge all together because I asked Lowes about the problem and even they don't understand what the problem is. They did tell me though that it's common for these Samsung fridges to mess up. Otherwise, it's a beautiful refrigerator, but it's defective.
I believe the ice tray should fill within 24 hours but I don't know how quickly it starts to make ice...probably doesn't take too long if the whole thing fills in 24 hours
l bought this refrigerator without reading any review, l have never thought this big beautiful smart refrigerator could have problems. my big problem is the shelves, how do you fit milk gallon? l could use any tips from anyone
This fridge sucks the ice maker never worked freezes up and you gotta take it out n break all the built up icicles in it with a knife I wish I could return it
Don't buy a Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker will break after less than 2 years of ownership. There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for their defective ice makers. The ice makers are very poorly engineered, and you will spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on repairs. Also good luck getting a Samsung fridge repaired, very few appliance repair shops are willing to work on them, and you will wait weeks, if not months for parts!
@SUB ZER0 At least with Maytag and Whirlpool, if something breaks, the parts are more readily available than Samsung. The truth of the matter is, they don't make things how they used to anymore. Your best bet, is to buy the cheapest, no frills, no bells and whistles appliance you can because you can count on replacing in a few short years after you buy it. If you buy a stupid Samsung fridge with WiFi, tablet screen, all this extra stuff, it's more things to go wrong and break, and in the end you waste your money.
@@petef.4361 Samsung knows how to make some good phones and overpriced good tv's, pretty good electronic overall stuff like disc readers and memory drives, they atleast good at everything, but the reviews and videos say that their refrigerator is faulty in some way, I just got this refrigerator too, I hope that isn't the case.
I would avoid buying Samsung at all cost. Got myself refridgerator that makes sounds louder than my 21 year old refridgerator and customer service is simply terrible. They claim it is feature rather than bug and basicaly told me that they dont care at all about noise and my satisfaction. Feel free to RU-vid it and think is this device something uou want in your house Avoid Samsung at all cost
Avoid this refrigerator. They are horrible. The first one I received was dead on arrival and I had to return it. The second I received, the same model, died after 6 weeks and all my food was ruined. Samsung has been useless.
