Oh wow.. it is great to hear review from a professional photographer. 1st time to find this kinda review. New sub here. Hoping could learn some photography skills as well. Keep up the good work!
This is the best camera review I have ever seen. Thank you. And I agree with you that the other world class reviewers never talk about the important points in their videos
Excellent review, as usual, Robin! I'd love to see your review of the iPhone 11Pro - maybe Ming can loan you his! Keep up the great work and happy shooting!
Thanks for the great review Robin! Have you ever got a chance to do a hands on one plus 7T's camera? I am a lil confused on which of the two are better in terms of photography.
Thanks Robin for that review. That’s exactly what I wanted to find out before purchasing the s10 lite. Like you I’m a photo enthusiast and having a mobile phone camera offers a lot of convenience my DSLR don’t. I don’t expect it the quality of the pictures to be as good as a DSLR (of course not else they’ll be out of business) but a reasonably convenient backup.
Great review, I would just like to add that i think the live refresh rate problem you were experiencing was tied to 4k 30fps when you can change the resolution to 1080p 60Hz when recording as well. I think this may solve the problem you were experiencing albeit with a lower resolution.
Good day Sir, Which resolution do you prefer for the rear camera videos? FHD with video stabilization or FHD 60fps w/o stabilization or UHD 60fps w/o stabilization?
Totally agree..good honest review. I have one of these phones and I am a photograher as well. My experience with samsung phone cameras is they do over process sharpening of the image.. Colours and tone tend to be great, low light performance for the most part is ok. Biggest annoyance is the shutter lag, it is only a small amount, however for a camera with such a high end processor I would not have expected this.
Very informative camera focus review, especially the remark about the refresh rate of the camera censor, is the issue present in a flagship like the S10 or S20 ?
waow it's the best review on the s10 lite camera on youtube, very clear and a lot of details. I understood that the main captor do a very well job and the others captors are more like gadget for a day to day usage. Many thanks Robin.
Robin. Being an Olympus user for some time I am quite familiar with your camera reviews. Question. When you zoom, would you use the primary 12mp or the 48mp.
Hi Robin. Please do more review like this on smartphones especially midrange smartphone so that consumer can make better choice (because flagship are too expensive nowadays). I'm sure this will help you gain more viewers & subscribers. Excellent content and very informative.
Appreciate your content totally love the camera subject wonderful job done by you sir regards! Watching your video onn my s ten lite& totally setisfied
wonderful review ❣️ I am currently using this phone and I have to agree with you with the slight delay when taking pictures. It is annoying as i'm missing a moments. I have to stay still until i see the picture in the tiny little gallery view so I don't get a blurry picture ☹️
robin , have you tested samsung Note 10lite? Its almost the same phone and price tag segment, but it comes with 12mpx camera on all 3 cameras with1.8 apertures and optical stabilization. thank you
TERIMA KASIH (I hope I writed it correctly :) ) ... Hi, first of all thx a lot for this nice review , I watched hundreds of reviews about a smart phone , this one is placed to my top 3 review I have ever watched . you are enlighted me with some subjects which is no one mentioned before...
Very good review. However, I'm very surprised you didn't mention anything about the zoom capabilities of this phone. Although it doesn't have a dedicated telephoto lens, it can still do hybrid/digital zoom. Should have shown samples of various zoom shots. That would have been perfect.
I would like to thank you for your candid comments and your wonderful video! illustrating some of the great features of this phone was very helpful ,,,I wish though I could tell the difference between the 48 megapixel and a 12-megapixel as there is no way to select one of the three cameras, strange how I can do this on my xiaomi 9 which was $200 but I cannot do it on the Samsung S10 lite maybe you'll have more instructional videos soon I will subscribe to your channel thank you once again for the wonderful video,,,(I hope Samsung let you keep the camera after all you've done they should.) 🤫🧐🤔
You know man this phone is very close to price of used aps-c like xt2 xt30 and a6300 it will be great to just try to compare bang to the buck photography wise
Hi Robin, great work first of all. Do you think with the new update that upgrades the Android security patch and adds new camera features such as 4K video recording at 60fps, Super Steady mode at 4K resolution, improvements to picture quality and other general stability and bug fixes will solve the issues you described? Thanks :)
Can someone please explain me why my camera on my S10 lite is worst then on cheapest Samsung phones... the flashlight pics when taken in dark look like there is fog all around. Looks like something is wrong. Anyone else has this?
The "SuperSteady" mode is utter garbage (quality wise) and I think it uses the ultra-wide angle camera for that, with stabilization done in software. Om the other hand, OIS-Only (main cam, SuperSteady off) is AWESOME. I looked and the camera lens itself is moving inside while recording. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a single youtube review mentioning those two things
Pratik Kulkarni camera still good,it has main camera with 48mp,with super steady OIS but you cannot record video using super steady mode with a higher resolution.it is only available on 1920x1080,no 4k for steady OIS,the only thing i always do with this phone is gaming, with 855snapdragon,it can handle game smoothly and the only problem is battery capacity 😆,4500mah is not enough for a heavy gamer.
Pratik Kulkarni i can say,the camera will makes your photo a bit overcolored,as usual it cannot handle night photography very well.also,i noticed some noises when i record video using back camera at nightime, and same as the front camera too,it has heavier noises than the rear camera.i prefer to use my iphone 11 when recording video at night.
How good a lens is has nothing to do with the F-number. F1.5 lens does not mean the optical construction and resulting images rendered by that lens is better than F2.2 lens. Lenses are a lot more complicated than just reading specifications. I have personally used bad F0.95 and F1.2 professional grade lenses, vs much superior and optically well made F4 lenses. Your comment is therefore, invalid.
