Samsung S20 FE heating issue | FIXED 

Hi guys, we are starting to get some feedback from 5G versions having the same issue, if you are using the 5G version please share if you are having some issues with it so we can help others and maybe call the attention of Samsung. Do you think a software update can fix this?

That's why they called it "S20fe, failed edition" It is nonsense that Samsung give this kind of tips, so it is a cellphone with a lot of things that you can't use. Wow, great solution.

Using this phone in hot climate like India is hell. Keeping it in my pant's povket feels like hell

My S20 FE 4G has that Issued so . It always overheat even just a video call about 15mn

Having overheating issues with my S20FE I solve by putting ice on the back of my phone where chips sits, next to camera trio. It lovers temp from 45C degrees to 30 or less in few minutes, and still doing hard work with it. Overheating that hard is usually when transcoding media files or tethering my laptop with hevy internet usage. I never charge it to 100% because that way you tear you battery in time, search in settings option to limit charge to 85% and you´ll have your battery up and running twice the long as you would now. My intended time usage is four years, one and a half has passed, two and a half to go. ;)

Man, after updating to one ui 3.0, and used it for a week, the temperature settles down, but still i cant stand the battery life, 100-99 in 2mins, i'll let service center to reprogram it. Hope i will get a better battery life, its just annoying why battery keeps on decreasing while apps are sleeping. That is some Bullsh*t work from samsung, this aint a fan edition, this is a F*cked-up Edition

So basically we can do all of this is in 1 button, Yes, use the power off and turn off the phone instead of turning off all basic features that any cheap phones can even offer it better. Exynos is a total failure

so basically the solution is to disable and seize every possible feature and option that comes within the phone ! so whats the point of buying a smartphone if i was going to disable all its feature and turn it into a Nokia 3310 ? I've done everything possible to stop my galaxy s20+ from overheating and its still cooking eggs all day long !! I've had an iphone Xs for almost two years, never had an issue with it worked perfectly well

Same issue here...was dissappointed on buying the s20 fe exynos in the first place...had a lot of heating and screen throttling issues. Re-installing my software from Samsung Service Centre fixed the heating issues as well as screen throttling.

This is common sense. I do this with all of my phones. I had the 5g snapdragon version and now I have the exynos version and they're basically exactly the same.

Hi so i got mine samsung s20 fe on 23 march and 3 days after i use it,it has the overheating issue. I did what your show in your video but nothing changed at all. I emailed samsung about it for multiple times and asked for a replacement but they turned me down and asked me to go to samsung care center in my city which is about 1,5 to 2 hours drive from my place. When im there i told them about the issue then they look in to it and reset my mobile, thry asked me to see in the next few days if i still have the issue then i should go back there. I still have the overheating issue so i go back there they asked me to leave my mobile with them for a few days because the wanted to confirm it themself about my mobile oberheating issue because no one ever complaining about the overheating issue like i did . after few days i got a message they saying that my mobile is ready to pick up. I asked them did they find the issue with my mobile and they said noting ,theres no overheating issue or anything. But they still changed someting in my mobile (i dont know what is it) its like im lying to them and just making things up. I do have proof about the overheating issue in my mobile, screenshoot and videos .

The solution is to buy S21, exynos 2100 seems to fix the battery issues, 990 and below is basically samsung achilles heels

I have same problem when I use zoom or make a video call ..Phone will automatic cut off after giving warning for heating phone...What is the solution.

Samsung FE 20 5G here for a year. The phone is very warm, almost hot. Battery life has been reduced to half runtime. Will try your tips, thank you

Hey there! I just got my S20 FE yesterday and noticed this heating issue, do I really need to go to Samsung service centers to reprogram it? Can I use the factory reset option?

My 5g is equally hot. I had zoom meeting twice and it told me phone over heating and will shutdown in 20 seconds. And sure enough it did.

Just sleeping unused apps, turning off NFC and mobile data at home and Uninstall some unwanted apps made a significant difference. I kept face recognition on because it's a novelty to me right now but ill probably turn it off in the future

The device will work harder to find a communications tower so move to an area with better with better network. Sure Samsung let me just move my whole freaking house so I can live somewhere that fits your criteria of a better working device 👍👌

It is annoying to have this issue on this phone. I am also using s20 fe and I can say it is a bothersome until now.

It cannot fixed by something, its the problem of every exynos chipset.

Even i have the heating issue. 5 minutes of camera usage - clicking pictures only, and the phone is hot as an iron. Also, the battery loses 3% in first 5 mins after fully charging. S20 Shit edition it is. 🙄 I am regretting switching from iPhone to Samsung.

There must be a reason why samsung launched a phone with such good features at this price tag, guess we found out the reason...

It's the camera module getting the worst of it. From day one, that spot was a borderline hazard.

I have a heating issue with my fe so I'm returning it Some times it feels unsave to use like it's going to burn your hands

the phone have factory and design issues , no way to fix it. you pay to using the phone not turning off features. sell it before you have to open it for changing battery and etc...

I also had the Samsung A51 and I didn't notice how impressive the battery of the A51 was until I bought the S20 FE last week. I use to get 4hrs OST max on the S20 FE the first few days I got it, but the battery improved when I deleted the Samsung Health app. I now get 6hrs OST with about 10% left. But I mainly use my phone for social media and RU-vid and only play Clash of Clans for about 20mins a day.

I had same over heating problem i went to service center they took 2 3 days and replaced phone but i still have this heating issue but not as much as first phone. Should i go to service center again or it'll get better lemme know asap brother

Just got this phone, it was so hot.. called Samsung got a replacement. First night it overheated too. I can turn off all the features, but why am I paying so much for a phone that doesn't work without overheating? Going to call Verizon tomorrow.. 3rd time is a charm???

Woke up today with my galaxy fe at like 500 degrees. Everything was fine up until this morning.. now it's still warm, not as boiling as before but I'm still disappointed 😔

I have my s20 fe 4g.. I am experiencing the same issue since i bought the device. Can't samsung fix the issue permenantly.. I am sure that they will surely loose their fans due to this.. How can i resolve this issue permenantly.

I've been using Samsung phones from a very long time...and I'm a die hard fan of Samsung phones....but this S20 FE has seriously made me hate Samsung. This phones gets heated up so quickly that I have now stopped using my phone for only calling purpose...in short emergency use....! It's waste of money...and currently as there is lockdown, I'm also loosing my warranty period.

tip: dont go for the exynos versions. theyre extremely bad. the heating issues with this phone all come because of the 4g version using exynos.

I have the same phone which is 2 months old. I am facing so much heating issues..any video or video call I do my phone notifies me within 20 mins that the app will automatically close in 20 secs. Worst samsung buy ever.

It is the worst phone ever Samsung made..purchased one 9 month ago and till now suffering..no update can fix it's battery draining issue and heating is excessive when put some little stress on it..even Samsung midrange phone comes with Snapdragon chipset has better heat management than s 20 Fe...total waste of money..

Why pay high price if the phone is like this

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is not reliable. 1.- using navigating app it may over heat and turn off. 2.- using whatsApp video call it may over heat and turn off. This Mobile phone is performing below standard, and can leave stranded.

It's always heating because of exynos chip, if you want Samsung s20 or s21 then buy version with snapdragon chip. However this version is only available in 3 countries which are USA, CHINA and JAPAN. The rest of world has the worst version which contains the worst chip exynos.

What a stupid things?! When I turning off all these features from this smartphone will be a calculator with calling options. My wife using 6 months S20 FE (4G), and it is the worst phone she had. Extremly warming during calls, after installation of anything, or actualisations... Gold Huaweis before...

I run a geekbench test to heat the phone and heat my fingers in winter.

So basically you did not use any of the features.

There is such a simple fix. Just install galaxy labs of the galaxy store and then use thermal guardian. There you go your phone will be cooler.

this is not a solution! we using these options every minutes! i had Xiaomi and i used these options on that But it was not hot and the battery was slowly draining! But in this phone, the battery drains quickly and charges late!

Final step : Turn off your Phone or use it as a cooker

its a shame u have to do all of these things and pay 600$ to samsung for this crappy phone :(

Eynos has idle battery issues. I have a s20 exynos and was disappointed with the battery life. Did some research amd swap it with a snapdragon version and the differerence is night and day.

LOL you buy expensive phones for the features & at the end of the day you deactivate all the features that are you paying for the extra battery, it is the same for looks of the phone you pay in general extraaaa & for la look & you put a case on it.
