I totally agree. I had s5 and s9 the s5 display was superior in terms of color range at certain brightness but the s9 had a dim color representation compared to s5. I don't know how to depict it exactly but there were something special with the displays back in 2014-2017.

@@fahadnaem4842 I just picked up a Tab S2, it has that same vibrant screen look. Rich colors and a deep colored hue that the newer screens seem to no longer have...

s6-s8 best displays ever. These modern screens dont seem better to me. They just got a bit brighter.

I noticed this upgrading from my S8 to S22 ultra but don't forget that the newer samsung panels seems to be more burn in resistance . Which was a huge downside since the begining of Super Amoled screen's. Iam happy with the current colours if the screen wont get burn in anymore. And also I think with more software option's you can tweak the screen even more . Iam still waiting for samsung to do it as a software update

In one UI 4.0 they reintroduced the feature that allows users to hide the hole in those apps selected by user

@@pineaplehead5020 Depends on the movie. I've seen Star Trek 2 on an S22 Ultra and the hole punch was putting more holes in the Reliant than the Enterprise did! Lol It would be unnoticed some times but on the Hoth scene on Empire Strikes Back, it would annoy me.

@@vati702 Some samsung phones that are running on android 10 and have camera hole you can fill it from the settings and it looks like a s8 or s9 that's what I did with my old a50 but when I updated it this feature wasn't available unfortunately. But now I'm more happy with the s9+

When he open the apps, the phone has no other apps running at the background, but in reality with such premium phone, you don't want to always go in to clear the running apps before doing something, when there're apps running at the background, the difference is more significant

There's definitely big differences, but the note 9 is still holding pretty well

@Hewhoremains420 SD card slot for expandable storage, headphones jack, haptic feedback touch-to-wake screen, pulse/blood-oxygen sensor, full screen with no camera hole in your view, comparable battery to the best flagship currently available (4,000mAh vs 5,000mAh), comparable cpu, screen size, etc. It's the most complete flagship phone in existence. It just doesn't get updated anymore because Samsung has to keep making money somehow right?

@Hewhoremains using a removable battery will need the housing of the battery and causing that they can't put a bigger size battery into the phone, and at the old days people put in cheap 3rd party brand batteries into their phone and when something happen blaming the phones brand. The other stuff, you can only blame Apple, they bring up the trend of no headphone jack forcing people to buy airpods, also they move the heartbeat sensors to the galaxy watch, it's pretty normal when they see Apple made billions every year from these accessories. And without SD card slot, people have to buy bigger storage versions. From what I see, some non tech savy people are buying the 1TB iphones because they just think bigger is better, well, android users are generally smarter anyway. About the headphone jack, the lucky thing is, bluetooth earbuds are pretty cheap now. And if you're serious audiophiles, you won't be satisfied by the internal DAC in any of the phones anyway. You can get an external headphone amplifier with a USB-C connection easily.

Why you prefered note 9?

It had a better speakers (objectively) The ability to shoot greater macro photo thanks to its 2X optic zoom than the newest samsung despite they have 3X or +, they focus can't be done as near thr object as the Note 9. On the Note 9 I had 512GB of storage for 700€ while I bought the S22 for 900% for 128GB and I can't even extend the storage. That's the main reasons. However the S22 is more compact and easier to handle with one hand, I'll give him that :) Good day sir

The 2018's flagships have much more features like hard press home button and iris scanner and headphone jack and sd card slot and bixby button which can be remapped to turn on flashlight or any app when pressed, better optimized android, little bit faster fingerprint scanner, more bass from the speaker, LED INDICATOR, sensors for calling and automatic brightness(lightning sensors), only the battery is not very good but you can get a stupid powerbank and done!

Do you have exynos or snapdragon? I'm asking because I have exynos and want to compare codm performance.

ps.: seems like the security updates ended , phone holds up (in performance), but battery started showing its age ..... like real bad.... of course now it passed 4 years from release and 3.5+ years since i own it (was sealed prior to me buying it).
