I just got this phone and I wasn't going to upgrade but I decided to get it because of the battery life. This should be the only reason to upgrade from the s22 ultra. The battery is insanely better .
Same , battery life is amazing finally . This is what the S22 ultra should have been ! Sucks I just finally paid off the last phone now I'm back at square one paying for this one ..
I am getting this phone very soon really needed of a upgrade I have a old Motorola phone and since it's been lagging so much it's time for me to upgrade I amn getting it in the Green 💚
Well, one is 1200 out of pocket with no trade insoe discounts. The other one is ~ 700 with no trade ins or discounts. So I'm leaning towards the 7 pro for cost alone.
@@ShannonMorse yes that's true, And here in Sweden its even more expensive, The pixel pro cost 999 dollars and the Samsung cost around 16-1700 dollars..
With the S22 Ultra I find One UI to be a mess. Tone of problems but the biggest is trying to use it in dual sim mode with an e-sim and nano sim. The Samsung software seems to actively fight that on the S22U. I don't do many selfies or video edits and find the S-pen to be all but useless. Having preferred them for years this was a bit surprising but I just don't think it adds value anymore. For most people if you cant avoid Samsung all together then I'd suggest the + over the ultra. If you'll miss the s-pen then you already know it and there are no other significant benefits with the ultra unless you just prefer your phones to be more awkward to use.
Thanks for the review! +1 on changing the screen resolution, might as well use it if you've got it :D I do the same. Have you experienced the open apps button not responding at all? Home/back seem fine, but won't open list of open apps sometimes for me. I got $800 on trade-in credits for my wife's old S10e through t-mobile, plus a free upgrade to the 512GB version, and agree; I'm not so much a fan of carrier locked phones, but the trade in credits swayed me. I'm upgrading from an S10 myself, so it's a big upgrade, both in tech and in size. I've been loving it so far. Got it on the 13th on pre-order (and I only pre-ordered because it seemed very very similar to the S22U, but with some mostly minor upgrades; otherwise I'm mostly opposed to pre-orders without reviews).
Came from the note 20 ultra (near same phone, I know) and I am also getting used to that change. But being a lefty, it's a nice change to get used to lol.
Are you referring to the screen to body ratio or curvature? Unfortunately I only have access to public specs that are one their website (I am not on their PR radar), so what am I missing?
If you do the math and compare it to last year, Samsung is giving you almost the same value but is forcing you to get the 512 gigs instead. Compared to last year the 256 gigs is 200 dollars more than 512 gigs. 500 plus 200 equal to 700... 700 is what I got as a trade in for my s21 ultra to get the s22 ultra 256 gigs. But I didn't buy it from Samsung nor trade in my phone. For my s22 ultra I can get more than 500 somewhere. And the accessories for Samsung are crazy expensive and using up all the credit requires me pick 1 or 2 stuff that I don't even use or need. I bought my phone through Amazon and got their gift cards to buy a lot more stuff for a cheaper price.
Apple's list of terms and conditions of the data they collect is so long. Having to turn off Siri's data mining for EVERY app...unreal. At least Android allows you to get into developer mode and do some toggles. You're not forced to install apps with a walled garden store. In reality both OS's are scummy...don't kid yourself.
