first of all thank you so much I brought this monitor. sad to see you stop making videos recently.honestly I picked alot of 200$ monitor to buy since last year and you reviewed each and every monitor I picked including the curved one. I feel awesome that you did this bro thanks again keep making videos eventually you will get success
Sainath R yes but I have it in a bright room so it's not a much of a problem but go for LG monitor if you are not a Pc Gamer. use 15%of coupon on eBay top seller to buy it.i got this for 10100₹
@@twinky2k783 it's a decent one, the downsides being no Earphone Jack and really disappointing backlight bleed, but just a few tilts would cover the bleed
Hi! I want to buy one. Is it any good? I have bought an CF390 (Curve) but the colors were so... washed, and it hurt my eyes. Do you have any of this problems? Thanks!
I have had this monitor for 3 years and was my first and was so good, I have just brought a 144 hz Samsung curved monitor because after all these years it’s starting to bug out when I turn on my ps4 and I think it’s just time for a upgrade. So worth the money such a good monitor!!!
Just any FYI to anyone considering purchasing this monitor, intending to install it on a VESA wall or arm mount: You can't completely remove the factory stand and this will affect your ability to use it with a VESA mount. Optionally, you can crack the monitor open (by removing the entire rear panel of the monitor), where you will find two screws attaching the stand to the monitor underneath. But as gentle as I was, this did result in a little damage to the case of the monitor. Had this monitor cost me anywhere north of $130, I would have just returned it. This design flaw is inexcusable. Why include VESA holes if we can't use them?
And it gets worse: note that the cable connectors (video and power) stick out, not down... so even after removing the monitor stand hinge, the VESA wall mount has to be thick enough (or have an angle/tilt mechanism) to leave room for the cables to curve out of the way. For a monitor that boasts about being so thin, it's ludicrous that it has to be mounted so far from the wall. What a failure from Samsung's design department.
I bought one today and I'm very satisfied with it. Very good image quality and no backlight bleeding. I overclocked mine to 75hz and games feel noticeable smoother than before. Too bad that I have Nvidia GPU so I can't use freesync.
I've recently bought this monitor in argos for 169 euro, connected to laptop via included d-sub cabel (hdmi cabel not included), the picture is nice and sharp, only downside is poor connectivity, but Im happy with this one and in the near future I probably get the desktop pc or mini pc for it...
Interesting review. A few questions: Does it have a splash screen when you turn it on? How much time does it take since you press the button until you can use the pc? And finally how practical you think the on/off button in the back is?? Thanks.
Nice review, I got a Samsung Syncmaster P2350, and was looking to buy the same one too finish my multimonitor setup (it looks nicer with two similar screens next two each other), but sadly there are no stores I can find that sell that monitor anymore. So I found this, and I don't mind the stability problem, I don't wiggle my table around anyway, but I am pretty sure this monitor will be used for office work and my main one will be used in gaming, but it depends on how I feel about it. I'll just have too try it myself.
got two of these monitors, within two weeks they both had stuck pixels. send back for repair no issues after I got my monitors back no more stuck pixels.
Hi, and thanks for this video. I'm choosing a monitor between the Benq GW2470H and this model. I have an AMD GPU, but I don't know how much the Freesync will impact my experience giving a low Freesync range. The Benq has a new VA Panel, but some people show problems with dark areas and ghosting in gaming, while this model has Freesync and a simil-IPS panel. There aren't any decent review to make some comparisons, you're my only hope. In Italy they cost the same, anyway. Which monitor is the better one overall? Thanks, again.
Good review! It's selling in my region with AH-IPS. How does it compare to BenQ GW2480? I love that latter one have cable management and auto brightness but wonder if Samsung's panel is better for reading for long hours
Nice review! I'm looking to buy this monitor with an Radeon RX 480 later this summer. Have you had the opportunity to test how good the freesync is? I'm worried that the freesync experience might be bad on a budget monitor such as this. Also, do you by any chance know the difference between the the S24F350 models and S24F352 models? Haven't yet found any differences, and I saw the 352 model slightly cheaper.
May I have your calibrated settings for this monitor? Are default color settings good enough? BTW refresh rate goes up to 72hz with ultimate freesync mode and amd compatible graphics card. No need for CRU or any other method of overclocking.
Hi , I tried hooking up a Firetv Stick ( 2 different models ) , but didn't seem to work , is there a specific cable that is needed or setting on the Fire Tv to get it to work ?
DuckGaming Oh man, thank you! I thought i was fucked, i bought this the other day and will have it arrived on my doorstep this wednsday, really nice to hear that it's possible to get the sound out of my PS4 controller 😁
Hi, Great video. Very helpful for me. How dim the monitor can be with the brightness setting to 0? Can the back-light totally turn off like Apple Thunderbolt Display or iPhone? FYI, I have an Acer monitor which the lowest brightness still too bright for me
What can you recommend instead of this one ? About the same price budget ($150 or less). I was tempted by this or C24F390, but the bleeding light of this one and the need of gaming mode of the curved one, doesn't make me feel like buying them.
only downside is backlight bleed, which there's ton of. But if you use it in a bright room you'll never notice. I got it for 120 euros and can't really complain.
So, what about ghosting/motion blur? 4ms sounds good on paper, but is really 4ms? I mainly play shooters, and I'm looking at a 2ms TN monitor right now, so this is kind of important.
Hey, you forgot to do a contrast test on this monitor! At 3:11 I noticed that the shades of grey on the RU-vid page displayed on the monitor were not clearly visible, and clearly washed out with white.
the problem with back light you're describing at 4:20 does S27F350 has the same issue? I am thinking of buying that one the price is really fantastic for that size, please when you find time respond, thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work mate
Hi X2KO, I bought this monitor and i think that´s excellent but I found a curve gamma problem, it is not a perfect 2.2 and I think that in dark zones lost details. What do you think about this ? I use this with PS4 console.
IPS and PLS technologies are very similar. The differences are mostly insignificant in real life situations. But in my experience when comparing similar priced PLS and IPS, IPS has less glow/backlight bleed and marginally better saturation, while PLS has brighter punchier looking colors. On a side note, PLS panels are also touch resistant - meaning the screen doesn't change color if you put pressure on the panel, whereas IPS screens do, not a significant difference unless you have kids who like to poke the screen :p
Is this practically the same as the S24E390HL, just with free sync? I'm torn between the two, I know I'm happy with the picture quality on the S24E390HL, but I can find the S24F350 cheaper.
Hey guys, I have seen this model s24f350fhe on many a website advertising it has freesync. Does it? If so, how is it suppose to work? seeing that it does not have a displayport output. And this model was released before they enabled freesync over HDMI 2.0. hoping somebody can enlighten me
I bought one and it feels as if it can not tilt I don't want to break it if I use more force .. All the videos I have watched it seems so easy... Any tips...?
yes, just remember there is no sound over HDMI, so as long as you have an alternate means for getting sound from your console then yes it would be a really great for console gaming
@@X2KO I have a Xbox Series S and it doesn’t offer any alternative way to output audio unless you using headsets which I don’t have🥲 Also I can’t find any setting to send full audio through headsets so… 🤦♂️
Can you increase the refresh rate for this monitor? I think this monitor support freesync from 48-72 Hz, so can you, like increase the refresh rate to 72 Hz from the default 60 Hz?
Sorry for the late answer, but yes you can run it on 72hz and games will also show this extra option once you have it set. Freesync works great and in the AMD graphics driver (Crimson Relive) I set the maximum framerate for all games to 72fps. Best gaming experience I've ever had.
I don't know, I've never actually overclocked the refresh rate. The Samsung monitors support 72hz natively and I'm ok with that. Also FreeSync would stop working over 72hz/fps
I remember getting the s24e390 last year, previous model of this one. The colors and contrast were not as good as IPS tech. Hope they got better but I already set my eyes on samsung VA panel models.
pretty much identical in terms of image quality and performance, the two biggest differences (other than price depending on your region) is that S24E390HL has an audio out jack so you can input sound over HDMI and output to external speakers or headphones, there is also volume control through the menu. The S24F350FHE doesn't have any sound at all, but it instead has Free Sync which is a huge bonus for gaming performance if you have a PC with an AMD graphics card.
It's only 1 ms of difference in response time though and the LG has a FreeSync refresh-rate of 40-75 Hz vs the Samsung's 48-72 Hz. I don't know which one is actually better since I haven't used either. Do note that you may also find the monitors with slightly different model numbers. I came across the S24F352, for example.
The Lesi20 Hey bro, are u sure the S24F350 has 48-72Hz Freesync Range? do u use it? according to this web www.144hzmonitors.com/list-of-freesync-monitors/ it has only 40-60Hz Freesync range. Please reply, i want to buy this monitor xD.
How easy it is to remove the stand if one wants to use a wall mount later on? It always seemed to me as if these cheap stands once fitted, won't come off easily, snapped for eternity. I gave up on my B2430, was afraid to break it.
I just bought this monitor and tried it immediately. It seemed relatively easy compared to my old B2430. I also overclocked it to 75Hz and colors turned out oversaturated. However 74Hz works fine without affecting color output. What was your experience overclocking this monitor? (I'm not sure if this is overclocking as it's advertised 72Hz).
Is FreeSync realy working? I mean, 48-60Hz is very small window... Is it worth to buy, or better to look for sothing "bigger" with LFC technology also?
the monitor has no audio in, and no audio pass through, so sound will need to come from your laptop speakers, or you will need to connect speakers directly to your laptop.
