hello Amanda. Several months later… I just wanted to acknowledge your inclusion of people with visual impairment. I am a blind bloke from England and I was just replacing our washing machine. I heard of the Samsung washing machine that had smart things options that were accessible to us as a visually impaired community using VoiceOver (text to speech for anyone who is not aware of it). I was just looking for tutorials on RU-vid for quick demonstrations on its key features. Your detailed explanation was really helpful particularly in pointing out the tactile options and of course, the Braille characters on the main controls. Just so you know, the first Braille letter is the letter "P"; presumably for "Power". The second Braille letter is the letter "S"; presumably for "Stop" and Start". Pointing out the terms of each key was really helpful in that it does give that audible feedback about the setting that has been chosen. These are features that are not readily explained as accessibility features in other sources. I have created a shortcut with Siri on the iPhone which allows me to run your video at any time I might want a refresher. I will send an email to Samsung also just to let them know that Blind people are aware of and are purchasing the Samsung washing machine with these accessibility features. They will not ordinarily know without feedback. Please do continue your style of description. I will subscribe in case of any other device demonstrations that might be handy. Thanks again for your universal approach to demonstrations.

Thank you very much, bought my mum her first washer today (she is a traditional south asian woman) that will be arriving in 2 days, she likes to do things manually by hand, but recently started complaining about back and hand pain from bending over so much and squeezing the wet clothes. I am so grateful and excited for this review! I purchased this set on January 6th, 2022 and it’s being delivered this Saturday on January 29th! @@girlpower2435 so far I love them. I'll be honest, I'm single and don't have to do a lot of laundry, but when I do, I love it that the washer and dryer are huge and hold a lot! My favorite is easily washing comforters. I use the auto dispense detergent and fabric softener, but I did read that you can use a powder detergent, just put it in before the clothes.

Hi, we just bought the same set last month . I did exactly the same thing to set the auto dispenser. According to the manual. It didn't dispense the detergent and softer. Watched this video. And did exactly as she is showing us. Still doesn't dispense the detergent and softer. Do you have an idea why this is happening? Please help

Great review! Just got mine last week. If you haven't had a new w&d in almost 20 years like me, it's a big learning curve! My model doesn't have the auto dispense, but so far I see more complaints than praise about it, so I'm good. I set it on quick wash and hit deep fill and start. Don't see myself using the wifi much, as it's easy to set while you're there. Great washer though!

I'm coming from a 24-year-old Whirlpool/ Kenmore... Just cannot be fixed. My loads maybe take about 35 minutes to get done and they come out really good when it was working. I'm seeing an hour plus on this machine. What has your experience been coming from an older machine to This newer machine, outside of maybe technology and buttons and such. How's the actual wash?

I was in between this one and the 5.1 cu one with the active jet which i had and loved before but it broke down fortunately working warranty so they refunded the total. In the middle of this video i decided to go ahead and upgrade to this one even though I have the set for the other one with different finishes. I think I've made the right choice! 2-3 weeks hurry please!!! Lol

Thanks for the video. My auto dispense system didn't work until i completely pulled it out and then reinstalled it. Plus, thanks for the tip to calibrate. Once installed. I read the manual and didn't see that in there.

Thank you so much for this thorough review, it was amazing. One thing of note... The concentration levels, when you hold the auto buttons (1. 2, 3), are supposed to be for the concentration of the detergent/softener you are using, like a 2x concentrated tide or similar. The dosage, when you just press the auto button (the three different dash marks) is where you control how much of the product that you use. So, if you are saying you use a 3x detergent and are using a normal one, then you are not getting the optimal performance out of the washer. Hope this helps!

I can't wait to get my set. They will be delivered Wednesday. Your video was helpful. My mom has a eye disease called Carateconis. And has three Corona transplants and this was one of the decisions to get the machine to help her when days are really harder than usual to see. I can set the machine remotely and just have her to load and unload it when done. Thank you!🤗 oh do the dryer have the sweater accessory available to purchase to dry shoes and delicates on?

I got the exact same set and I love it! Considering my previous set that was 14 and a 1/2 years old, it just took a complete dump, and wasn't washing at all. So what I want to know is how do you change or increase the water level on the bedding cycle.

Thank you for such a detailed review. We have a similar set except the dryer controls are on the front instead of the same place as the washer. Anyway, do you know how to make the wifi stop transmitting? I have RF sensitivity. Also I wanted to comment on how little water it uses. Like you I use the deep fill because it just seems wrong when there’s barely any water in there. I thought maybe the settings were wrong. Weird.

I just got this exact same washer and dryer and I’m still trying to figure out all of the features. Is there no pre-soak or pre-wash option? I don’t see a button for it. Also I don’t like how if you change the cycle (say you meant to choose heavy duty but forgot to change it) it drains all of the water out (and detergent if it’s been added) and refills it. That’s not a deal breaker I just have to make sure I always choose the correct cycle.

Hello! This video was super helpful. We are getting our new machines in a few days but I was wondering what we do if we want to use a different detergent for a delicate load. Is there a way to switch between detergent or are we stuck with just the auto dispense? Not sure if that made sense but basically if I want to do a delicate load with woolite and then switch back to my normal detergent, is that a thing?

Beautiful machine and fantastic informed review. 5 rinses though is ridiculously unnecessary. Most top loaders wash, spin, rinse, spin. To ask it to perform 5 rinses is just a big waste of water & time.

just got mine today and doing the first small load and there's a pair of shorts that after 10 minutes still is dry on top and hasn't been pulled under and I don't know how good of a job this thing is going to do plus I don't see any suds to speak of either and it won't let me add water now either so I'm kinda concerned

This was really helpful. I wish I would have seen this video before trial and error. The only thing I find frustrating is that I can’t get the right amount of water on any of the settings for the amount of clothes I put in. I’m so used to the old fashion washer that have low, medium & high level of water. Any tips on how to know what the water levels are in each setting?

Ran the first "test" wash through the machine. Everything went fine up until it was time for the rinse cycle to drain the water out of the tub. The wash cycle drained the water just fine; however, the rinse cycle did not drain at all... I am literally left with a machine full of water & the machine just shut off after it was finished. But without the rinse cycle water being drained. What did I do wrong?

One of the smart features on this washing machine is that it auto detects the load size and how much water it needs to use. That is what it does at the start and is the reason why the load time often changes. It is high efficiency, so it will always use as little water as possible unless you select deep fill.

Your video is the only one i can find to help me a lil with the washer. I just got it not even a month ago. And i have set everything to 3 like you did and the 3 lines on both as well and every time i do a load i never see much laundry soap come out, and when the load is done the clothes dont smell clean. I check the comparments, and only the softner is getting used alot. Is there something else im suppose to do to make the detergent come out like the softner? Love the washer just cant figure out why the detergent side dont dispense enough like the softner side.

@@Ilubalyachalo nope still didnt get it fixed. Lowes wouldnt let me bring it back either and wasnt even month old, said i only had 48hrs to bring it back. I had someone ftom samsung come out and look what i was talking about, said it was the motherboard?? So changed it and it still does the exact same thing. So im screwed with it gor a few yrs cause i dont have enough money to buy another one when this one was brand new. Ive been adding detergent and softener to the drum then clothes for now til i can get another one, someday.. 😕

@@rachelherrera4 my goodness. I am sorry to heat this Rachel. I called Samsung 2 days ago and they virtually tried troubleshooting and it still didn't work yesterday. So I called them again today. they'll be inhere next Wed so will see then. I will let you know how it went. If it still doesn't work... I'll be on their a$$es until I'm happy. Do not let them off the hook. This set is very expensive. Call them again, and tell them unless you do not have time for that I will understand. I do not have time but for this "scam" I'll create time 😁. These companies makes so much money out of abandoning customers with malfunctioning things.

@@Ilubalyachalo ok yes please keep me undated if they change mother board only and say thats all the soap it dipenses cause the type it is, thats exactly what they told me. So just to get my clothes to smell half decent i have to add more soap to the drum... they are expensive and for them to basically say thats all they can do. My only option they said was take it back to lowes, which i tried and because it was more then 48hrs lowes wouldnt take it back, said to call their customer service and i said well that wont work cause i did that already ha

@@rachelherrera4 wait a minute, yesterday we received a mother board in the mail delivery!! We were still confused as to where it comes from. It must be them since their so called Technician will come next week Wed. That's their MO. I will call them on Monday and tell them that this is the trick they do to every customer that complains about their auto dispenser

How do you reset the washer? My brother level it up since it was not detecting the sensor so it can close completely & start. It was not level & it threw off the washer. Once it got level straight it still won’t work. Was told it needs to be reset but don’t know how. HELP!

I am so confused and don't know if detergent is coming out. I never saw any blue detergent come out. I did see a stream of water come out but the wash doesn't even smell like detergent. Is that right?

We got ours 7 months ago, stopped working had samsung come out today. Said it needs a software update no ETA on when that is. So upset and regret buying this W/D combo

Started working out of the blue last night. Samsung said to unplug for 1 minutes, then it on and then off 5 seconds later. Then wait 4 hours. No idea why but it worked.

I have this same question…. Did you ever get an answer? Or figure it out on your own. My detergent always has some left over. I called the Samsung tech support and the lady tried to tell me it’s because I hadn’t cleaned it. I just got it a month ago if that. Idk if that’s a problem or not

Press and hold the smart connect button until AP shows. Then search for it in the app. Mine actually auto showed up on my phone and asked to connect. If that doesn't help, I can give more detailed directions.
