I just got the swa9200s and I can confirm that they work with the Q600a. If you dont hear them then make sure that you don't have Standard Mode selected
@@wasifayon30 my soundbar is the q600a/zg but the swa9200s should work with any q600a as the /zg for example only means for which country the model is so they are all 100% the same
I’m using Q600B. And I ordered 9200S. Will be receive on this week. I’m very excited to setup this wireless rear speaker to play my Xbox series x and PS5. 🤣
@@EphraimKunorishi , Do these rear speakers work with the Q60-B soundbar ? I sure hope so because I ordered them and they're going to be delivered today. I have my soundbar setup, decided to buy the expensive new subwoofer as well. Both those cost me $1000 and another $250 for these rear speakers 🔊 I also splurged and bought a new Samsung 65" TV model number Q80 -B so all in well over $3200 for everything 😀 Thanks in advance for your response 👍
Not all Hero wear a cap. Been trying to set up my surround speakers… after watching your video; following the steps, now it’s connected. Thank you 🙏🏿… you’re a life saver.
Thank you, Ephraim! I bought a Samsung B650 soundbar a few weeks ago. I will read the comments first to see if you have already answered the questions that I have; if you have not answered these questions, I will come back and ask them if you do not mind.
10:29 New information: On the Walmart Onn 4K Pro it's possible to downconvert the Dolby Digital Plus signal from Netflix to a regular Dolby Digital signal to work with the A series and B series soundbars. I did this with my B650 soundbar and I got 5.1 sound.
Does anyone have experience with pairing these speakers with sanus adjustable height stands? Would they work because of the weight and can wires go through the pipe so they can be hidden? I believe these speakers work with HW-A650 soundbar, seems like i heard it in the video, but would like to confirm it. Thanks for the review!
Hi! Do you know if these speakwrs works with the soundbar HW-C450? I saw a bundle on amazom with these parlaneyes and that soundbar so.o thiink it should be works but im not sure., thanks!
Hi, Great review! I am told that this speaker system will work with the Samsung A-650 soundbar? Is this correct? Edit: never mind, you are connecting the S9200s to a Samsung A-550 soundbar, so it will work on my A-650. Again, well done! Also, you talk about not getting Dolby Digital plus, but you can set the A -series to DTX Virtual and get a very good effect.
Nice review. I have a Q600B soundbar and I'm thinking of getting these. However, I'm also kind of holding off because I'm hoping to see Samsung make compatible rear speakers that do not need a wireless module and ALSO have top-firing speakers (for better Atmos). That would take me from 3.1.2 to at least 5.1.4. If not, then I'll just wait for the price of the SWA-9200S to be even lower.
Thanks man! This 9200s does not have wireless module also. Is good enough. if you want upfiring speakers that would be the high and premium models. You may want to look at Q990B instead. you have the complete package with rear speakers with upfiring speakers. You may go with 9200S as Samsung won't come out so high end rear speakers for low to midrange soundbar. highly recommend this 9200s for you
@@EphraimKunorishi Thanks for the reply. The Q990B is tempting and looks nice but ultimately I think it's just too much money to spend on a soundbar setup. It would cost more than my TV itself (QN90A) 🤣 If I start spending that amount of money on audio, I would prefer to start looking at an actual home theater setup and go all out. And even though I got it for a much lower price, the Q600B isn't cheap either. Samsung have an RRP of £449.00 right now - that's the same as a PS5! I'm not sure how much that is in your currency but feel free to convert. I'm hoping Samsung make new up-firing rear speakers for the Q600B or make some existing ones compatible in a future update. Why would Samsung make a Dolby Atmos soundbar but not allow me to have Dolby Atmos speakers in the rear (no matter if mid-range)? It's a shame. But I appreciate your recommendation and will maybe get the 9200S for Black Friday.
@@MartinKusimo Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yeah Samsung wants ppl to go for the higher end ones. If everyone buys the Q600B and gets everything they want. Who in the world will get Q990B 😂Right hahahah
@@St4rTr3v1Ut10n I've had it for just over 2 months now and I love everything about it. My subwoofer, top channel and centre channel are all on +6 which I think helps it a lot. I don't know if I would be as happy if I bought it at the ridiculous £549.00 RRP but I got mine for £376.00, and the price is dropping even further. I'm not sure why the reviews are like that and I have also not had the connection dropping issue many others are mentioning - nor has my soundbar been updated since I took it out the box. The only thing I've noticed is that my soundbar has been starting to turn on with TV ARC sometimes instead of TV eARC which I definitely set up correctly. However this seems to have stopped or reduced after re-applying eARC in the TV audio settings. Could just be the (provided) HDMI cable itself. Back to the harsh reviews, it may be for the same reason the SWA-9500S are being shredded in reviews: Disappointing/ confusing lack of compatibility/ support. In their own right, these products are surely great but it's some of Samsung's decisions that are causing most of these angered reviews I guess.
Ephraim, great video. You might not know this but the Costco Q60cc soundbar has two more speakers in it than the regular Q60c model. I just bought this model also to go with my Costco model Qn850C 8K tv that has Q symphony and works with the Q60cc. What I seem to notice is what people are expecting from surround sound. When watching movies, the surround Channels "NORMALY ONLY" come on and off for effects of the movie and not for duplicating the same dialogue coming from the sound bar. My question is does buying the SW9200s rear speakers "ACTUALLY DECODE" a movie sound track if your sound bar has DTSX or Dolby Atmos or Dolby digital? Ephraim what is your observation of the true operation of these speakers?
Thabks Edmund, If the base soundbar has no support for the mentioned atmos or dolby digital plus then it won't work at all. If the soundbar able to support then ya, it will work for 9200 rear speakers.
hi ,i have issue with swa-9200 with my soundbar hw-b450 its compatible but impossible to connect rear speakers always blue led blinking. can you help please
Does anyone know how to hard reset those speakers? Bc the left one disconnects from the soundbar randomly when the device is off. Thank you in advance.
Hi i've visited the Q & A section for this product and i still am a bit confused? Note that i do not have the sound bar on hand but they state that "the SAMSUNG 9500S uses its own wifi from the soundbar" to connect from the bar to these rear speakers? this was in response to a person asking if it uses wifi or BT. so am i correct to assume one has to connect the bar to the samsung soundbar then it would scramble/encrypt it so that these rear speakers can connect to?
If we compare the sound quality of the 9100s and 9200s, is it worth the extra money we pay for the 9200s? (and not just because the 9200s reduces wasted space)
I confirmed with Samsung tech support and they clarified that the only difference between the two kits is the wireless module being internal in the 9200s. The speakers are technically the same.
I also have B650 and what I wonder is what he said about Netflix and other apps. I remember from the time I connected my PS4 to LG Home Theatre and the Netflix app in the PS4 recognized the sound system and switched to 5.1 audio. Even now without these rear speakers when I enter the app it says for example Dolby Vision 5.1. So I’m really confused. Netflix should recognize the device and change the audio track accordingly. Because when I choose internal speaker as my output it also switches to Dolby Atmos as my TV supports it.
I have the Q600B and Samsung told me I could buy 9500s or 9100s, but then same samsung told me no, then on Samsung IG samsung told me yes again and today on the store, they told me no, just 9200s. So I don't really know which one I can buy 😐 looks like Samsung is not training its staff
Hi, can you please share the image of the power adapter? I am importing it from USA to India and I wish to know if it works here without any voltage converters!
hi there, nice review. can you please confirm this cable going between the speakers is it a standard speaker cable? I already have speaker cables for 5.1 system hidden in the walls and would not like having any additional cables. Do you think I can use them or I have to use the enclosed one? Thank you
You probably could. You would need to connect the rr and lr speaker wires together where they would hookup to the amp. I’d suggest getting an actual surround. You’d get way better sound for around the same price if not cheaper.
I bought this for my HW -S800B and it won’t connect. Now it’s blown the fuse in my plug adapter so I’ve ordered a new one it’s coming tomorrow.. very frustrating as I’ve seen they are compatible but it doesn’t seem they are!!
Hi Ephraim, really nice review. You seem to know a lot so please give me some advice. I am planing to buy this rear speakers in the future, but for now I have a Q60C TV, and will get a hw-q600b soundbar. Since the TV and soundbar have q-symphony, will that be a 3.1.4 system then (if the TV speakers act as overhead speakers too...)? If that's correct, how does it work in practice - does the sound from the upper speakers of the soundbar and the TV speakers mix badly?? Is it maybe better for me to buy hw-q60c or hw-q60b which is 3.1, and then pair them with my TV to have 3.1.2 system. Sorry, a lot of questions but a lot of confussion for me too.😕 I would appreciate an answer, thanks.
I'm using the soundbar only for playing music from my tablet or phone. I wanted, that sound also heard well on the other side of my big room, so i bought swa-9200S. But when i play music, sound is coming from soundbar, but very very little almost nothing from the SWA-9200S boxes, although I did bring rear speaker level to +6. is there a way that rear speakers mirror front speaker %100 ?
You have to choose other sound mode other than Standard. Standard doesn't support rear speakers sound. It will never be 100% same sound. It will be 50% only at most.
So I recently picked up the Q60cc from Costco. It's a 3.1 soundbar. I wonder if I should get these rear speakers which would put me at near $500 for everything or should I get a 5.1 system?

That's great to know how did you find out about the extra speakers? I was under the impression that costco versions cut corners to reduce their price. I have no idea. I would think that the samsung add on speaks should work work that way given that they are for that ecosystem. If they didn't it might possibly hurt the imaging. Just my hypothesis.@@edmundmeyer1728
The product SWA-9200S is compatible with the soundbar HW-Q600A ❓it is 110v, it is 220v or is bivolt (110v/220v) or multi-voltage ❓what come in The box original from beyond The 02 Speakers ❓Waiting answers
Hi, really useful video… just got the q700b Samsung soundbar… wanted to check if the SWA-9500s speakers are the compatible speakers or the swa-9200s, appreciate the response
Hey. Thx for the review. I have a question and need an answer asap. I got the B460 Soundbar and was very pleased of the quality. Then I ordered this sw9200s hoping that it will give more surround effect. Since i have small living room i dont notice that much difference with the rear speakers even on highest volume level. So i spend 340$ in totel for this 4.1 channel setup, and im thinking of getting the HW-Q710B 3.1.2 Q-Soundbar with Dolby Atmos (i guess intergrated dolby digital plus?) for the same price as my setup. You think that the 3.1.2 setup will give more surround experience watching netflix over my 4.1 setup? The think is in future i could also upgrade the Q710 with SW9500 for 5.1.2 Channel. But with the setup from today the limit ist 4.1 what i think is a little disappointing bcs i miss the dolby effect. Especially for that much money. I hope you will answer soon bcs my time is limitet to give those rear speakers back. :)
Thanks for the reply Another question, do you happen to know about samsung Q Symphony? The feature that can utilise TV speaker to function beside the soundbar's channel If we use the Q Symphony, will it too make 3.1.2 channel becomes 5.1.2?
i am planning to buy one to pair with my HW-Q600B, I am currently having the Q600B and tv QN85A playing at the same time with Q-Symphony. May I know with the addition of the 9100s, will all 3 speaker playing at the same time (TV+Q600B+9100s) or will the soundbar disconnect with TV and only 2 will be playing (Q600B + 9100s)

Why does the Samsung - HW-B650 sound bar only show rear left speaker on the sound bar when both speakers are connected wirelessly? There does not seem to be a way to adjust the volume on the right speaker.
you have to press again and wait. There is two rear. You have to wait for it to load all, the text is very long. One is rear On and off. another is Rear volume where u can +1 to +6
Hey Alok, Q610A is from the UK. I'm not sure about the compatibility as it is not in the list. You may want to call your nearest Samsung dealer. Thanks for watching!
I bought the swa-9200s this week and connected it to my Samsung HW-Q80r (2019). Connecting was easy and simple. The problem is that the volume is very low. Through the setting I have the rear speakers +6 on volume but it's still very low. I called Samsung support and the woman said it wasn't a known issue. But lots of people complain about this problem. Also with the previous models swa-8500s, swa-9000s and the swa-9100s. I've spent hours looking for a solution but can't find any. So I'm about to return them. Anyone have the same problem or the solution?
from what ive seen they say the 8500s was the one with the issue that was fixed, keep in mind depending on the content the speakers will not play very loudly on purpose
@@hundredlives3910 yes, I bought the q990b, they come with rear speaker. Wow, what a difference. This is the best home cinema experience I've ever heard.
Hello. I would like to know if these rear speakers without Dolby Atmos are connected to a Q600b with Dolby Atmos... I would hear Dolby Atmos quality only on the bar or if I connect these speakers I lose Dolby Atmos completely, also on the bar. Thanks!

Hi. I would like to ask you what are the final letters of the kit you tested? Let me explain: I am Italian and I noticed that on the Samsung website in my country, they sell the ZF model. In terms of compatibility with soundbar, the models from 2021 are not listed (including my Q600A). On the English website, instead, it offers the ZK model...and these ones say they are compatible. The 9200S series shouldn't they all be the same and only change the plug and voltage connections, depending on the power used in the nation (so the two letters indicate the production of these)? Do you think the ZF model is really compatible with the Q600A? Thank you.
