What was the tool you used to test the voltages on the LED power wires? Did it also inject a voltage at the same time to power the LED lights? I have a 40" TV that looks very similar to this TV with the power button in the same spot. When I shine a flashlight on the screen, I can see images and there is sound but the backlight is definitely not coming on. I would like to test the backlights and also rule out the main board or TCONN. Edit: It's a SID LED TV Backlight tester or something equivalent. It does inject a voltage to power on the LED strip or individual LED to see if it lights up.
If you see an image on the screen with a flashlight, most likely Mainboard is working aaand PS. Change the Led strips. But that is a Backlight tester. Just Google it. Thanks.
Hey Bigdog thank you for explaining about making sure the tcon connection are secured. I did go back and checked my connection and they were secured. I do have another vizio that I going to replace the blacklight in I will let you know how that went . God bless and keep those videos coming. Shot out from Florida.
Hey Bigdog, I disassembled my Vizio d48-do to replace the backlights because the backlight kept flashing . I used my backlight tester to find out which strips were bad and all 5 strips held at 54 volts. So do you think I might have a power board or main board issue? Any help will be appreciated, thank you.
