Had a model UN60EH6000 that was displaying the same symptoms and had the same voltage drops on the t-con board. Ordered a BN95-00628 chip from ebay and a cheap hot air station, and voila! The TV works great :D Thank you SO much for this great informative tutorial. This got me into SMD soldering :)
Steve is "the man"! We at Affordable Mobile TV Repair, are going to start posting videos on all types of tv repair on our website, starting later this week. Please check it out.....
I've seen this model come in a lot and it's usually the t-con board. It has a high failure rate and I suggest if you cannot replace the chip to use T-Con part # BN95-00944C instead as a substitute. It has a much lower failure rate and looks great after replacement. Great job NorCal
Bruce, I've seen this part BN95-00944C sold as a replacement for BN95-00628, BUT with the note that it is "modified" to work. Did you need to modify it in any way? Thanks.
Wow, thought my electronic training had stopped. Welcome back norcal715. Best repair videos. Very informative and well edited. Never fast forwarded thru any of your videos. Also my first youtube donation so hopefully you will keep them coming.
Nice video very helpful. Can you get schematics on these boards or how can you tell what circuit is on and voltages? I have a Samsung un50eh5000 and the image jumps up and down and looks like there is double of everything. It seems to get better if I cool the t con board down, but heat on it makes it worse.
You are so brave, to be able to have done this repair, some of the parts are so tiny that you need electron microscope to see why the heck they have to be so small.
another great tip... for the heat sink on the tcon board thanks... great videos... very good explain... from one thec to another thec keep up the good job :)
I have a LG 43UF770V and it has no picture, no sound, but the backlights turn on. I replaced the T-Con board but, didin't change the result. I then baked the motherboard (or main board) for 11 min for a reflow but, that also didn't change much. Before I did all that I noticed that there were some negative voltage readings on the right hand side of the T-Con board and wondered if it was normal to have the ground lead on the chassis but have positive readings on the left but, negative readings on the right (on the T-Con Board). I did not reverse the polarity.
Great Video! Can you give us a website where you look for service manuals for Samsung LED TV? So I can look at what voltages are good and bad when troubleshooting these appliances
Great Video mate, keep up the great work! Was just wondering my friend, are the tv screens (40”) and their inner connections the SAME between the “Samsung UE40MU6100KX” and the “Samsung UE40F5500AK?” Many thanks and blessings to you in advance for any information provided.
Much appreciate the video! Might you have a circuit schematic for this board BN95-00628C but also seems to be a common issue (no video display) as my problem seems to extend to blown main fuse @ F301, diode OPEN @ 2.5 M ohms (forward bias), O/L reverse. It also seems capacitors at least the primary common capacitors at C7114, and C7122 unfortunately I can't seem to find a schematic for the board. Thanks again for your great videos!
Hi..i got my bn95-00944b board in today and works great now"...this board is a better alternative to bn95-00628c however the board is diff layout and the matal cover interferes with a board component..so i just put elec tape on the cover to buffer it from the component....tv works great now....if u get chance could you look up bn95-00944b and let me know which components i should put a heat sink material on top?
my tv is samsung UA55ES8000 actually TV was works fine before i de-assemble to fix vertical lines. so i was remove the back cover of tv then screw T-CON board and try to connect the T-CON Board left side socket to the LCD panel right side ribbon cable like swap to check the vertical lines get fix or not then tv turn power on and display goes to black ,no back-light, sound works. that was happen. please help me to find out which board need to be repair or replace?
Hi got a 65fx700b which has 6871-5491c tcon which has the same problem no picture but back light when I reflow the power ic it comes back to life for a week or 2 then dies again ever came across it on the Panasonic?
Excellent video, thank you for sharing. I have the same symptoms descrived by you, on my UN60EH6000F tv. Backlists are 100% and no image on the screen. I have tested my voltages at the points you have mentioned on the video - I do have my 12.6v at the large coil (6R8 1242) but no voltage at the coil above it and the two caps 0 volts. Not sure where to go with this if I have the same failure (power voltage regulator) as you did. If you could comment that would be great! Thank you in advance.
Just tested mine and I am in the same boat. The chip costs $6 at digikey and finding an electronics shop wont likely cost much for soldering. way cheaper than a new TV. I am guessing the chip has only partially failed.
ciao ho smontato la t-con , sulla scheda c'e' questa serie : T370HW02 V3 CTRL BD 07A63-1B invece su ebay ho trovato una scheda t-con con questa serie : T370HW02 V5 CTRL BD 07A63-1C vorrei chiederti se e' uguale ? in pratica invece di V3 c'e' V5 e invece di 1B c'e' 1C
Hi nortcal...the traces that got destroyed appear to go to some caps...looking at your chip on the board its on the north side of chip and its the 3 traces that go on a 45deg angle....next to a C marking on the board not sure i can repair that...its just so damn small ....is the issue
Need your help have a PLASMA PDP-506PU has zero signs of power lights it has AXY1129 APS-216 power supply after running for a whole day the T8AH was bad I just replaced plugged in and it doesn't pop in fact if I use my meter with set power on I get readings on all the power heatsinks 120+ volts so I know it's trying to turn on but seems being no lights anywhere on set it doesn't do anything I can figure out where to go next a new power supply board?
good one sir, sir, I have the UN40EH5000 with tcon issue. there dc to dc ic issue, Here the problem is DC to DC(SM4152) ic is programable one. if you have the program and datasheet. could you please share to me. I am ready to buy as well.
Sir are u still active? I have the same tv model, and same issue. I can't find a same tcon board to change. i saw your video, and i believe i can't do the way you do it. is there anything i can do??
Im looking at shopjimmy photo of board to see if incan maybe make out where the traces go so i can try to solder jumpers....i doubt incan since the legs are so damn tiny...my ability isnt capable...but it cant hurtbto try..the board is trash as is anyways...
Hello. Please, my hisense LED TV Work only on the right side. Can you help me with this T-CON board RSAG7.820.7932 ? If you Can tell me what to have as voltages on the 2 larges output connectors ? I want you to teach me please
hello i have a samsung smart tv when i turn it on it shows the smart tv logo then goes black i can see the backlights but no picture no sound and when i try to turn it off with the control it doesnt go off i have to unplug it
Aside from knowing this chip is a prime suspect for this problem, how would you actually test it with a multimeter? You tested other components and implied that they were functioning. Other than that, great video with great soldering technique.
Thanks NorCal715. The Identification of key voltages on the T-Con module were right on. I have not seen such helpful information since Sam's Photofacts. With just a few Voltage checks one could tell if the module was good or bad. Samsung is very tight lip on giving help. Keep up the good work. Melody TV Man
Hello, I subscribe to your channel and I have watched several of your videos. I am 58 years old and I have learned a lot from them. I have a question that I would like to share, seeking a solution. I have a SAMSUNG TV model UN49KU6300G and only when I turn on the TV so that the sound of it goes out in the Home teacher (SONY model MHC-RV9900 old) only a single sound hum sounds that it seems that it will blow up the loudspeakers. Detail: Only happens when I tune to local TV, NETFLIX. Already to play audio of the XBOX ONE S and TV to CABLE the problem does not happen. ps: I am using optic output from tv to a converter with RCA output since my device only has this type of input. Can you help me? I'm grateful for now. ps2: Sorry for posting this question in this video. William.
I have a samsung UN55D6900, tv starts all good on turning power on and after 15 minutes the picture display starts getting bad then I can only hear audio n picture is flocking, what could be the issue?
Is it the backlight pulsing/flickering? do you have the back off of the set? can you see the backlight from behind? Look at the backlight with the back off, if it is dimming/flickering then most likely you have a failing LED/LEDs. If it is then you should replace all the strips as a unit for reliability.
@@norcal715 I will check that , I don't have the cover off tv , I will unscrew , can you please check videos I posted of this issue on my channel one is at start , how perfectly it starts and other is when it goes bad, here is when it goes bad ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rOFmbFW9184.html
