The top load washer is only 2.5 years old. It will not start. Everything else seems to be working, the display lights light up, it has the sound tone, the door locks, but when I hit start it will not
Same exact thing happened to ours. 2.5 years old also. Yes, it was the control board. It acted up for about 5 weeks & progressively got harder to start. Then it just wouldn't start. Our door didn't lock at this point. Expensive to fix with service call, but he had the part in his van & it's up & running again. We are planning to call Samsung to see if they can do anything ~ reimbursement? Especially since this has happened to others. Thanks for posting this RU-vid video Nissan L33 . Big help to us.
+Jennifer Schwanitz You are welcome. I doubt Samsung will do anything since it's past the 1-2 year warranty. It sucks and is deff. not a good feeling when you spent so much money on a ''quality'' brand and not even three years and you have to spend almost half of what your originally paid for.
Kevin Singleton No the real shame is when people keep buying the same junk and excepting other peoples experience s as fact. We all know that people bought 2-3 washers, 2-3 mattresses, and 2-3 sets of furniture in their whole lives at some point in the recent past. Now people do these things 20 times in 30 years. What the fuck is up. When I purchased my speed queen last spring I bought the 2017 mechanical versions because I intend to leave the planet in 40 years still washing with these units. I love seat in my living room and the sofa in my sitting are life purchases. I may build a house and add more , but those pieces should stay. When people start trusting their in guts and stop believing what the vocal minority presch then bthesr machines will go away. My 32 year old whirlpool is still going strong and I washed 4 loads just Saturday, with detergent and borax. The same shyt my mother used. Now you can spend million dollars on pods if you want, but cheap detergent with bleach and or borax will make ur clothes spotless. We have 5000 years of experience. I purchased a meile vaccum in 2017. I like it a lot. I purchased it because people kept saying they are the best. And they some of the best. But Iwent to buy bags at s vaccum shop and got to chatting with the owner. He told me that the Royal, Kirby, and the sanitare vaccums kick all the other vaccums asses in terms of suction . With normal mantinance and proper care you could get 20-39 years out of these units. I thought wow for 30 years I though the plastic fantastic vaccums were better. He said nope. We sale them. But they have never really imroved on the original vaccum design of 100 years ago. But they market the others like they are better , but they aren't. People use your brains, something stinks..... Think about it
Gunedis Minder but if they come from the factory with crappy control boards then I guess get a new board every 2 years. Nah. I’m ditching this digital crap and going back to the knobs. Cheaper and easier to fix. Samsung is junk.
@@alantexada8424 oh no doubt. I go out sometimes within a few months for a fried board. Older the better. Even if its 20+ years you still got a better chance then with any new one no matter what brand
My guess is when you start the washer, it like senses the load before starting, if you wanted to know why it doesn't start. I have a different kind of Samsung Top Loader with the glass on the cover to see though with the cover closed and I do know that when I start it, it senses the load before start. That's gotta be what yours is doing.
That's what it is supposed to do to balance. It slowly spins each way to get a feel of the load. But now mine "tries" to spin, like it only pushes, doesn't turn all the way or spin.
This exact same problem is happening with mine. At first it was hard to get it to start. Sometimes the door would lock and then it would just sit there flashing, the drum would not perform the normal "test spin". Other times, I hit the start button and nothing happens at all. For a while I could remove the back panel, knock it around a bit, and it would eventually start. Now it won't start. It looks like I'll be ordering the control board. Any suggestions on who has the best price?
Samsung is the worse washing machine I ever owned, and I will never buy or recommend a Samsung product to anyone. Recall that lid blows off, they come out and put clips in the lid, but you are advised not to ever wash heavy loads such as comforter's etc... So I'm only supposed to wash on delicate? That's not the only purpose of a washing machine. Today I'm washing towels it stopped and is showing the locked icon. We have googled and searched how to reset it, drained the washing machine by hand, and hung the soaking wet towels up outside. I will be buying another washing machine on Wednesday. I wouldn't spend a dime getting this one repaired its a waste of money. Oh ya and they had phones that caught on fire too. Lets spend our money in the USA.
Same problem. Tech came out, needs new motherboard. Almost $500. I said no thanks. Will likely order the part on line and put it in myself. Save $200. I was expecting more from Samsung.
Shane Blake yeah I just posted a video about the dc error code. the machine starts shaking and stops working and will not finish the cycle. they came to repair it the other day and replaced the dampers and drain pump kit, now not only does it not finish the cycle due to the unbalanced code it also leaks now.
Nissan L33 Oh that's good to know. Thank you! We've tried everything and can't get any kind of action out of it at all...So, maybe that's what's wrong with ours too. Appreciate your help and posting the video.
And...3 weeks later...it's fixed! Thanks for your help! Repairman had to order the part...control board like you said... Working fine now! Actually love the washer...does a great job, just have to get it to turn on! :)
