Dude! I owe you BIG Time!! If you're ever in San Diego dinner and drinks are on me. Your video perfectly demonstrated how to disassemble the controls and localize the fault with a multi-meter. I was freaking out trying to find my warranty info and pissing off my wife because we're leaving to Vegas in the morning. I stumbled upon your video and followed along (without you ever speaking!?!) and fixed my washer before the trip. THANK YOU!! Seriously, if you're ever in San Diego my name is Mike Freely and I owe you.
Woke up to my Samsung washer turning on, then immediately dying. Almost ruined my day, but I watched this video and checked that plug and fixed it. Thank you so much!
Dude, you are the man! I opened mine up and when I tool the white round cover off and carefully moved the connectors (as it was plugged in) and I think that is what fired it back up. Not 100% sure but the video was a big help! I was worried a circuit board was fried or something in my 3 year old washer! Thank you!
Fixed my Samsung WA45K7600AW/a2 washer!!! THANK YOU! Inside was 90% identical as the one you were fixing in the video. 2nd problem I've had in 10 days with this machine, last problem the tube for the fabric softener dispenser came de-tached from the tub area and was leaking water all over the floor. Samsung washers are not well engineered. They work but they also break a bunch.
Great video! Ran through the same steps to get my washer working again. No obvious loose connection and I note that wiggling the cable to the power board can replicate the fault so an assuming a bad wire somewhere in the path
you the master the king , I was in a panic with my washing machine not switching on , just after watching this video clip it was just as simple as disconnecting the machine on the main opening the top cover unplugging each plug and play and plugging it back , plugged the machine on the mains switched the machine on waaaaala bobs your uncle the machine is working 100%
It's crazy to think that when my washer doesn't turn on, it sets me off too lol. I'm glad I came across this video. I performed the steps exactly as shown in the video, nothing needed to be replaced, but now my washer is working. Thanks!
I did the same thing this guy just did in mine started working from being completely dead I just disconnected the connectors inside Plug them back in and then all the sudden I had power to my head unit so I could use the controls before I had absolutely no power . I'm sure that it will not fix it long term but it definitely fixed it today great video thank you
THANK YOU! I can vouch for this working on my samsung wa48h7400aw/a2 which I believe is a slightly newer model but control components were very similar. I was concerned about the lack of vocal instruction but this fix really doesn't need it. Simply unscrew the covers necessary to access the two points in this video. I jiggled the wires under the round white plastic cap and ensured they were plugged all the way in. Then unplugged and re plugged the second set under the large oval cover with screws. Re assembled and my washer powered on. At the time of this comment I found a main circuit board for $175 for reference. Thanks again!
Just worked on wa45h7000aw/a2 too!!! While unplugging and replugging the control panel switch I could hear an audible click, like components were being reset. Then it powered on normally thereafter. This guy's video just saved me $100s of dollars. Not to mention I got to parade around the wife bragging that I fixed it myself! LOL!
@JJ'S Appliance Repair I have 120 going in and out of the noise filter but no power at the same connector you showed in the video, any help as to why would be appreciated.
Cheers. Followed your steps and it fixed it exactly like yours. Any chance you know what causes it to fault out this way, and if so what is the long term fix. Since your awesome fix it's been running flawlessly for a week. I just what to get ahead of the problem
I’ve had mine apart several times and replaced both control boards. What everyone isn’t understanding about this is it’s not resetting the connector that solves the problem - it’s unplugging the board, waiting for a couple minutes and then replugging it in. There is a flawed design in the circuit board that Samsung has not acknowledged. You can change the board but it will last a couple months and start happening all over. These washers are junk.
UPDATE: Having to do this on somewhat of a regular basis over the last year, I stumbled upon the fact that there is what appears to be a test plug/connector in the area of the large transformer/capacitor where the power comes in. The plug is a flat black plug and isn't connected to anything. I discovered when moving wires around that if you touch this - with the power plugged in, you will get a shock. Curious, I cleaned up the plug as I had noticed a buildup of moisture/soap on the plug. After cleaning it up and putting some shrink wrap over it to protect it - all has been going very well! Apparently, the plug was somehow shorting out the boards - and when you moved it around to unplug and plug and reset the boards, it would intermittently be pushed away and work for a while - until moisture again built up on it. For those of you struggling with this - try cleaning that plug/connector and wrapping it with electrical tape. Worked for me.
@@gregnapert9231 Greg, I am having the same problem and we found out the plug was totally unplugged and there is green stuff on the copper wires inside. What can I use to clean that green stuff, please?
@@dario7000 You must be one in a million lucky guy. I have nothing but problems with this machine. And the amount of water it delivers for washing and the washing process... I wonder if the clothes are clean bcse it barely covers the clothes. So they say it saves water... but then one has to put more detergent. So, no savings at all. To make sure the clothes are clean I have been using the rinse and spin after washed to get the soap out of the clothes. What a piece of junk. Samsucker will never ever again enter my house. I had kenmore for 15 years, it shook and moved around with two movings in and out of states and it never gave me any problem. Why did I get Samsucker, oh, bcse I wanted something fancier... BIG MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.
Love the vid, my washer can’t tell that the door is closed, replaced the lock assembly but still not working. When I tested the “loose plug like you did I got 120 between black and white but only 110 between blue black. I cleaned the ground wires that I could find and put them back together. Not sure what the little 2x3” box is to the right of the mother board but I tested it and got no power coming in. Also no continuity from the blue peace inside that box.
All, I bought a new Control board, power cable and noise filter and it still won’t power on. It has power going to the noise filter and control board. Any advice?
Left the house, came back and the washer had turned off in the middle of a cycle, and wouldn’t turn back on. Clothes were locked in. Outlets were hot. I didn’t have a power tester, but I had a connection where electrical tape had come apart. Hooked it back together and, vwala, power! This video saved me a ton of time and money.
I have a washer very similar to this, but my issue is that it won’t turn on. It plays the chime of turning on, but no lights. I have attempted to fix it and see the main control board receives 120V. A green light flashes every 5 seconds on the board and when I attempt to turn on the washer on, another green light flashes for 3 times, on the third flash it seems to get cut off short. Any help would be greater appreciated.
I have the same issue with WV55M9600AV/A5, i have tried replacing the main pcb but still no power. I have green lights on all 3 boards on the washer. Any ideas pls?
Igee212 might want to check if it’s the right part number for the control board. When you push power does the light come on. Do any numbers show up on the display
JJ, help please. II have a samsung wa40j3000aw top loader who's drum was not turning but everything else worked fine. I called a repair guy and all of a sudden, it won't turn on and the control board won't light up. Now he tells me I need a new washer control board that he can sell me for 500$ **SCAM** is there a fuse I can check. I know it's getting power. There's a little green led on the back of the control board that lights up and when I unplug the washer, I can hear a click on the board. I don't know what to do.
The sound quality is pretty bad. On a positive note, the 1st thing he did was check the outlet for power. I unplugged a nite light and sure enough there was no power. Went to the circuit breaker and sure enough one switched was tripped. A reset and I am back in business. Glad i did not have to go all Migyver on it like the tech in the video.
In some cases, simply unplugging the washing machine's main power cord and leaving it unplugged for a few minutes will resolve this problem. I have a Samsung WA54M8750AW/A4 that refused to power on. I initially tried unplugging the power for 5-10 seconds but that didn't help. After watching this video, I was ready to start disassembling things. But on a hunch, I unplugged the power for at least 5 minutes and then tried one last time. Wouldn't you know it... the longer period of being unplugged was enough for something in the circuitry to "reset" and now the washer is working again! I think that's actually what we saw in this video. The repairman checked a few things but didn't actively fix anything. I believe simply having the washer unplugged for an extended period of time is what fixed it.
I watched video a couple of weeks ago turned out to be great washer started, now Couple weeks later it won't start again This time I left one of the wire harness out don't remember where it goes 😑
Samsung top load washer WA52M7750AV/A4 We did a steam clean and then the timer appeared to be stopped, my wife turned if off and now we cannot turn it back on and the lid is locked. If I push the power button nothing happens, but then 15 seconds later it makes the power down noise and says "door locked". I have unplugged and replugged the connections in the back of the PCB
Xavier Brown push power button then after unit is on standby press delay end and presoak 3 seconds depending on model then the letter d will appear on the screen press soil level after and turn dial jog to right last error codes will appear
@@ApplianceRep No panties got bunched, but I did get a headache with the camera jumping all over the place. If you are trying to educate people and pass on your expertise, you need to have your presentation reflect positively on your intention. A snarky, sarcastic "sorry" shows your contempt for constructive criticism which might help future videos. Pity.
Although the video was not the very best and the woman in the background was annoying, I very much appreciate showing exactly what you did. I am headed out to try this on my "dead" washer right now. BTW. Even if this does not work, it is a starting place.
