First of all let me start this comment by apologising. I’m so sorry I missed this video on the release date, sometimes I just end up having to play catch up, even with notifications turned on. Secondly, may a say a huge, massive Thank You. This was an absolute treat of a video, getting know the collector behind the amazing Style of Zug. Thank you for your continued contribution to the industry and for your wonderful insights. Thank you for sharing your magnificent collection ( and WOW what a beautiful collection) not forgetting to thank you immensely for your time and sharing it with us all. Can I simply state your collection is mesmerising, and dare I say a little surprising. I was expecting a few more Montblanc’s in there, especially the writers edition of Carlo Colldi… Pinocchio (However please don’t think I feel your collection is diminished in any way for not having more Montblanc’s). Your collection is an exquisite example of what an eclectic collection should be, showcasing some of the most captivating and unique pieces I’ve seen and having the most important aspect of any collection… A story behind it! (Just as a quick side note, I’m hoping at some point you possible add a Yard-o-Led and. Conway Stewart… not forgetting a Dunhill Fountain pen too) I love the fact that you have a tale or two to share about every individual piece, and that shows just how much you care. This is truly a passion for you (as it is for me and the others in this community). This is fundamentally how I personally collect. Each piece has a special meaning and connection to me, whether it’s how they make me fell and write, or whether it’s the recall of a memory or time (and place). You are the heart and soul of this fantastic community and I honestly can’t thank you enough for all that you do. You inspire me and others and have created a safe and marvellous place for us to join you on this epic journey with in the writing instrument world. I hope ( after you saying) that when you ink the Egyptian pen of the year that it brings you fortitude and prosperity. And may I finish by saying… Enjoy your new purchases, they are truly sensational ❤️

Im very new into My Journey and seeing how Deep it will become is truly amazing looking forward. (My Favourite is the Otto Hutt DC i love the Full Sterling Silver and the Patina it gets over time). Thanks for your Passion

That's awesome. It's always intriguing to see what a passionate retailer like yourself buys for their own collection. You have access to more pens than most people will ever be able to handle in several lifetimes, so every pen you purchase is a reflection of what you really value. I particularly like the Chronoswiss Pelikan.

Such a beautiful and varied collection. Even though I love seeing the classic pieces, seeing the Cartier and that Chalana are what make this 'passion' so much fun. I've been collecting pens for a decade and never even knew either of these existed. Thanks for sharing, your videos truly are the best on RU-vid.

Nice collection! Was able to find a Caran d'Ache Ecridor BP X Athens 2004 Olympic edition. Kind of cool since my wife is Greek.

Wait not a single Japanese pen? Oh, there was one Sailor. But I can relate. I have a short list of Japanese pens I want to add to my collection, but I want to buy them in Japan. And now I'm waiting until I find the time to fly over for some pen shopping. And since all the pen you've shown are fancy pieces. I can recommend also having a look at the affordable pens. A TWSBI Sco is simply an S-Tier pen that puts almost all other pens to shame. Some Kawecos are just plain beautiful and fun to use.

Highlight n°3 : Opening a museum : a so so good idea, proceed so please ! Alain Vanderauwera had done one in Yverdon-les-bains, but helas he is not with us anymore 😢. When you will open your museum, many pieces of the collection will be wonderful. I had a special fascination for the Aurora exposed at the MOMA, so rare and beautiful

I actually liked the Pinocchio a lot. What a fabulous pen! I love the art and the creativity. Impressed with the Otto Hutt's of course. It's interesting that you like the collaborations. You need to give yourself a raise so you can purchase some more! ;-)

My highlight n°1 : The Design 08 n°001 : I understand so much the personnal museum concept. This FP can’t be valued I agree, it is priceless and a masterpiece, congrats. Though It is not a limited edition, I will search for myself an original Pilot Myu 701 with the date code 1971 on the nib because it was the first year of the release of this vintage FP. This will be to complete my personnal museum of vintage Pilots. Terry

Otto Hutt Design 08 00 & 01 🔥🔥🔥

I appreciate the collector side of things with rarity and precious materials, but I am much more a quality tool perspective buyer myself. What would you suggest for my specific taste if price is no object? I tend to like EF Japanese nibs, I have a Platinum 3776 nib in EF that I love. However, I would like something that more fits the quality level of the desk setup I have. I have a El Casco 24K gold plated ink well and a 24K gold plated solid silver Coppertist.wu rattle snake pen holder (hand made, probably one of a kind as they don't offer it anymore). I write all day, so the tool needs to be up to the task and I would like something on the bigger side as small pens cramp my hand. I like a back weighted pen for my writing style and converter is a must because my favorite way to fill a pen is to plunge the converter into the ink well. My current pen is a Esterbrook Raven Esti with a 3776 Platinum feed, nib and converter.

Still watching, but did he just say he bought Otto Hut D08 #0 to write with so he doesn't write with #1???

Whenever you name a pen you are talking about,can you write the full name of it on the screen? In 5:10 , what pen is it?

I really am not a fan of smallish zippered cases. It's so easy to scratch the pens taking them in and out. I have Galen Leather writing cases with lots of slots and the pens are nowhere near the zipper and I *still* freak out. 😅

Highlight n°2 : The Pictet special set : very handsome, rare and original piece. I absolutely deserve at least one of these because my performances as a stock market and asset manager are far far far better than theirs, even stellar 😂 No I’m just joking… although… Terry
