Samurai Shodown III: Genjuro playthrough lvl-8 【60fps】 

Underrated gem. Awesome character, Genjuro. Sprite-wise, hands-down the best of the series. Not to mention its highly-recommended arranged soundtrack.

of all the Samurai Shodown games, this one is still the best. To this day my friends play this game. We try the new ones after and they do not even come close to this one.

This game really gets overshadowed when compared to SS2. Yes a lot of the features including characters, move sets and the main story are absent in this game, but I appreciate this a lot more for what it offers. One, it has much darker aesthetic than it's predecessor. Some might miss the goofy/campy theme the game had from the last two games, but the fact the SNK decided to design SS3 with a much darker atmosphere was a great idea!! I mean lets be honest, had they reused the same elements from the SS and SS2 I'm sure it would have been bashed for just being a rehash of a game with recycled material that would disappoint many fans of the SS series. Two, all the Character Sprites were redrawn. I'm for one was impressed of how the characters turned out. Haohmaru and Genjuro's new sprites are better in my opinion. They look more detailed with their new designs. Kyoshiro looks more muscular and grim then he did in SS2, which now you can take him more serious as a sword fighter then him being just a flamboyant stage performer. Shizumaru Hisame, the umbrella wielding young boy, is the main character in this game, who is on a quest to avenge his family who was killed off by the main antagonist of this game, Zankuro. Now for the game play. Certain moves from the last game were removed and replaced with new ones. The ducking move was removed along with the dodge roll. I don't know why I thought those were very useful. No matter, in this game, the turn around move was added, allowing you to sweep behind your opponent and attack them from behind. I found it very useful especially when you are trapped in a corner. You can now charge your POW in this game. Instead of the POW meter building up like the rage gauge, you can manually charge it. That was very useful feature that was taken from the Art Of Fighting/Fatal Fury/King Of Fighters series. Their is also Aerial blocking. It was a shame that they removed it in SS4. The stages have a more darker look to them. I like that. I fits the theme very well. It gives it a dystopian atmosphere. Zankuro who is the new boss is a real pain, but I have a lot of respect for him. Fights hard with his sword and his moves produce a huge amount of damage if you are not careful. I respect him more than Amakusa and Mizuki. While those fight with Mysticism, Zankuro fights with Skill!!!

I love how Neo Geo games teach you how to play. From the little tutorials before the start of the game and how when the enemies preform a special move the button combinations the shown where their names are.

Genjuro is a beast. By the way this channel just got a new subscriber.

This is so insane.... Im playing since release SAMSHO II.. may absolute favourite one. Than i found for a good price part III.... This part is so different and much difficult to play. The first days even on Level 1 i suck.... bad..... now im able to beat the game on Level 4 and found this video where you beat the game on Level 8....... Awesome style of play !!!!
