Nakoruru playthrough in bust mode and highest difficulty with all story scenes intact. If lifebars/VFX are broken switch to a 60fps quality setting to fix it.
Flavor text:
Amakusa Shirō Tokisada has returned from the dead. Looking to create a new world order in line with his ideals, he resurrects Minazuki Zankurō and kidnaps a sorceress-in-training, Hazuki, from the Kazama ninja clan to augment his powers. This new awakening has since caused all manner of disasters around the world and once again many warriors hurry to find and destroy the source of evil.

Before her dark side became Rera, she was known as the Bust version of Nakoruru. One look at her win portrait (all the way back to the original game) and you can see a darker side to her.

This is actually a sequel so it is further in the history... Ergo Rera was first, not the other way around

No gonna lie, Burst Nakoruru was and still is an interesting concept, mainly due to being evil. Well, it is confirmed that Rera is not that evil, but still.

Rera is not evil, she just has the " life is about surviving even if it means killing in self defense "phylosophy

Honestly, I think Nakoruru's death in the second game was actually her splitting her soul into two halves, both curing the forest and developing a split personality. It took time for Nakoruru to be separated from the sword, and when she did (Samurai Shodown 3), her split personality came to life in a body similar to hers, but as a completely separate entity.

Chronologically, Samurai Shodown II is the last game in the time line. The order is V/Zero, 2019,I, III, IV, and II
