I always thought the reason Mitsuhide betrayed Nobunaga went something like this: Mitsuhide: Hey. Nobunaga: What? M: I'm bored. N: Yeah, me too. M: You have already conquered all of Japan.....what is there to do? N: Hmm......I know! M: What? N: How about we pretend that you've betrayed me? We're gonna do it tomorrow at Honnoji, with all the burning buildings and shit, even though you actually got nothing against me. M: Aha! That's a brilliant idea, Lord Nobunaga! And we're gonna do it just to confuse the hell out of the future historians! Better yet, we're gonna pretend that I killed you there! N: Yeah! And since you actually never done anything notable in your career serving me, this is your chance to shine! 'The Man Who Betrayed and Assassinated Nobunaga'! M: Hell yeah! The historians will remember my name as that! Perfect!
Afterward Hideyoshi: Mitsuhide How dare you betray Lord Nobunaga. I shall revenge him. M: wait wait Hideyoshi WAIT! *dead* N: Is Mitsuhide still here?Congratulations Mitsuhi- Oh shit H: Nobunaga-sama? Wait what? Oh well. I will become famous for take your place and fake revenge for you. Sorry Mitsuhide lol
I thought historically no one knows what happened to Nobunaga during the fire at Honnoji. He refuses to come out from the burning temple. Akechi troops couldnt find his corpse and search for Nobunaga's body is still conducted until the present. It's speculated that he committed seppuku in the burning temple, but where's his body, no one knows.
If someone betrayed me and burnt down my castle and killed my family, I'd be pretty peeved. If someone betrayed me and burnt down my castle and killed my family and then said, "Nah nevermind, I want you to be king again," I'd be even more peeved. Like, you probably could have thought about that a little bit before you ruined everything.
The part when Nagamasa take out Mitsuhide blade pointing at Nobunaga is awesome, it shows how despair and hopeless of Nagamasa was, how guilty of Misuhide, how cold hearted of Nobunaga, all just so unique in just 1 cutscence
@@supersaiyangoddess4293 i believe Hideoyoshi may have convinced Mitsuhide to betray Nobunaga. Hideyoshi reacted a bit too fast, as if he knew that Mitsuhide would betray Nobunaga. The games made Hideyoshi a clown but he's the smartest man that time, dangerously smart.
Mitsuhide's betrayal caused more warfare for no reason Nobunaga had almost conquered everything. After his death it was even worse the same goes after Hideyoshi's death, Mitsunari and Ieyasu went all out (Kusegawa and the big battle of Sekigahara)
I love how Nagamasa still needs a sword to break his own neck xD

Ironically, he was the one who made Nobunaga commit Suicide along with Ranmaru.

@sebas Stein Ehh..? So it was because of Nobunaga constantly humiliating Mitsuhide?? I had read that, until this day, the reasons why He forced Nobunaga to commit Seppuku are ''unknown'', but also that He had been The One Vassal, and even Bodyguard, in charge of commanding the entire army, due to the level of Trust and Loyalty He had been displaying to Nobunaga. But, I didn't know it was because of receiving humiliations that He turned his back on his lord. And why was Ranmaru also forced to commit Seppuku along with Nobunaga..?? I had watched a video about Honnō-ji Temple and also didn't know it was an entire replica😕😕😕😕😕😕😕... Then, I remember having seen 2 tombs, supposedly one belonging to Nobunaga and the other one to him. But it is illogical since no body was found since they were converted to ashes because of the Temple was burned down by Ranmaru following orders from Nobunaga.
SW2 had a much better characterization for Mitsuhide than how the following games portrayed him, but the twist that he didn't kill Nobunaga in the end was dumb, I always preferred to ignore the last part of that scene and just pretend Mitsuhide was the one who killed Nobunaga. It's not like that has much impact in the overall story anyway, maybe only in Magoichi's story, which can be seen as a what-if scenario like many others.
Nobunaga: "Mitsuhide..." *BANG* Nobunaga's thoughts: "OH SHIT!!! Wait, I'm fine... Well... I'll just carry on then..." Nobunaga straight faced again: "Mitsuhide, your Japan is one I would have liked to have seen..." Nobunaga's thoughts: "Oh shit, I'm falling over... Guess I'm not fine..."
They can't seem to get him a good voice actor! This sounds like a fansub, the acting is bad and voice unfitting. In 3, they used Vic Mignogna, who just sounds like... Vic Mignogna....
