If you buy this lens, you'll be able to see behind yourself. Hopefully there's a better lens behind you. I saw Cynthia wearing that green dress in a lucid dream I had a few months back, she looked radiant, and was very happy to be going out to a party with you. I'm pretty sure I heard the word fiancé mentioned too :)
I'm a professional lens design engineer at Leica Geosystems (industrial cameras) and I introduced your term "Toneeh" in our lens design department. You nailed it, my friend 😁👍 It's so funny, man!
Still hoping you'll give the Samyang 18mm f2.8 a try! I have it and love it! It's so lightweight and has great AF after updating the firmware, such an adorable lil vlog setup!
That lens was designed for DSLR, hence the ''built-in'' adapter. That's why I told you to get the 18mm F2.8, it's much smaller/lighter, designed for mirrorless and have auto focus.

There is Samyang 14mm F2.8 AF designed for mirror less as well
Superb grade, so punchy but natural. Some of the best harsh light grading I’ve ever seen. This is your best work. Time and doing are the best ways of mastering a skill. Sick skills bra, as we’d say in Australia.
I have the samyang and use it with my FS5. They have a yellow cast I don’t like. I saw it on yours in the first indoor shot with it. Still a cool lens. Just needs special color correction.
I had the samyang 18mm for sony emount. And let me tell u it was just as good as the Tamron 17-28mm. Only difference was the motors were loud enough to be picked up by the cameras internal mics. But as far as image quality goes that thing was just as crispy
You obviously couldn't see but the Samyang lens looked great and you were in focus the whole time and the image looked sharper than the Laowa 15mm f2. Obviously I think for vlogging the Samyang may be too heavy but you were in focus the whole time as far as I could see on my calibrated 50" Sony 4k tv that I use as a monitor.
Rokinon/samyang makes greet lenses. I'm just a loser photographer, but I love my 85 1.4 AE if UMC on my Nikon d700. It has nice colors and is just sharp enough for portraits wide open. I noticed when you switched to the Samyang it has really nice colors, and it made me think of my 85. Great video
@@cameraconspiracies haha good answer. Wish it was a tad lighter... but I guess worth it for the quality! I wish sony had added something wider to their latest prime releases...
OMG you’re hilarious! Funny (walking into the sun). Thanks for video. Entertaining. Just ordered Rokinon 14mm 2.8 from Amazon. Looking forward to using it. Mostly for video. Your info. helped. Thanks.
I have the 14mm, it's great, but with weird distortion. Also got the 12mm for APS-C (got it for the Samsung NX1, had it for Fujifilm before that, amazing lens). I do wish they'd release the same 12mm, but with more aperture blades for those beautiful stopped down shots.
NO! The Full Frame Vvlog is PERFECT...Keep the camera and the Heavy-ass lenses, Kasey. The combo is perfect for getting that One-armed Pull-Up that's coming this summer!! It's the key...Trust me.
Love your videos. But the toneh-influence has become too much. I really don‘t need 35mm equiv. DoF is way too shallow. Thanks for teaching me once again!
I like the look. The only problem I see is the judgement you would get from others when they see you have developed one massive arm, and wonder what new hobbies you have developed.
You probably will be interested: Huawei P50 series will use new Sony Exmor IMX800 as main sensor which is 1" in size. Yes, 1 inch. :) Perfect camera is coming! (Still RYYB tho :/ )
I had that Samyang. It is a brick. It also killed itself. The front element developed an inch in diameter circular fracture. Looked like I hit it with a hammer. No impact damage visible on either the glass or the lens cap. I emailed Samyang but got no response. I suspect temperature-induced. Fun lens, sharp, weird plane of focus issues. WAY too heavy.
For a while I've wondered why you haven't tried out the Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8, it's not the sharpest lens - but not catastrophically so, and when I bought mine I actually asked the cashier to verify the lens was in the box because I couldn't help feeling I'm holding an empty box.
Yeah i had that lens. Its sharpish and very light but electronic got weird after only month usage and now its in rma lol. Not sure if I want to buy samyang anymore. But the price is good for what they give ngl just it would be nice if it work
The main issue with the Samyang MF to me is the poor quality inspection. Had an astrophotography night and I was able to test 3 differents copies ot it, and clearly there was a large gap of quality between all those lens. Hope the AF version solve this !
I enjoy how you reviewed the cheapest wide lenses (was this a joke) .... ?????? How the two best ultra-wide lenses did not make the list???? I know zooms are heavy compared to primes. But still the Sony 12-24GM and Sigma 12-24 are amazing ultra wides. Check em out man!
@13:02 - "FX3 better have something special on there" -- NOPE. Same LED. Actually, almost the same camera except for more money. Is a Sony Samarai in development?
All your stuff looks like it belongs to a 60 year old store clerk. A few minutes later, I thought about deleting that comment, but I couldn't, I have to live my truth. However, I will say, you are really really funny and your videos are brilliant.
10:17 i wonder why you dont consider using small camcorders, like the canon legria hf r506 or r606? theyre tiny, good battery life, very good stabe, amazing zoom, very cheap ... its true, there usually is no slowmotion, but other than that?
Ok nope that Samyang is making that camera look like a GoPro why well Toneh got sacrificed hard that 15 to 14 makes it look less and that 2.8 from 2 makes it worse also since 14mm is a fisheye which distorts all those stuff around you instead of that Laowa which is rectilinear
Unfortunately Gus Pinkfrinkle still hasn't learned the Rule of Toneh: Toneh is designed to replicate the human eye! Hence, Toneh outdoors (bright light human iris stops down) should be F4-5.6 with these lenses, otherwise the difference between you and the background looks unnatural. Whereas, indoors (dark, human iris opens up) the Toney can be wide-open because that's a nutural thing. Also, with action like pigeon magnificience, Toneh can be wide-open because the human eye would be concentrated on that subject alone. So outdoors use Toney 4 and then open up for pigeon action. Please learn the Rule of Toneh, it's the rule that Tony never learned!
Try the Sony a6600 with pancake lens then your lenses and camera can be much lighter. Sony autofocus 16mm f2.8 vs. Sigma auto 16mm f1.4 vs Rokinon manuals 12mm f2, 10mm f2.8 and 8mm f3.5.
@@jml7916 Full frame too heavy for vlogging even with Monkey Strength arms! Just realised he did try the a6400 and 16mm f1.4 (no stabe in either though) thats why he needs the a6600, IBIS and eye focus.
