DeJuan Blair gets technical foul for hanging on the rim. 25 January 2013
Without Gregg Popovich (ill) and Tim Duncan (knee), and with Kawhi Leonard returning from injury, the Spurs traveled to Dallas to take on the Mavs. Only a few minutes in, Spurs guard Parker was taken out after receiving an elbow to the eye, however, he returned to the game midway through the second quarter. After taking an 88 to 68 lead easily in the first three quarters, the Spurs had to fight for the game in the fourth quarter, with the Mavs outscoring the Spurs 39 to 25 in the fourth. The game finished with a Spurs victory, 113 to 107, with the Mavs fighting to the death.
This game also marked the NBA debut of Australian Boomers Center/Forward, Aron Baynes, of the San Antonio Spurs.
DeJuan Blair finished with 22 points on 10-13 shooting and 2-4 free throws. Blair had 5 fouls, and collected 4 boards, 1 steal and 1 TO.
