What makes Austin and San Antonio nice as far as big Texas cities is that theyre not completely flat and have some nice elevated spots with some decent views of rolling hills. El Paso on the other hand is truly unique because it has actual mountains and Western USA vibes
Love how they skipped Austin. Wish they had gone back to Dallas though. Like to see more of those videos! Thanks guys. Enjoyed your corpus Christi ones
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS oh I get it. And Houston is on your way back home via I-10. I understand. Maybe next time. I think Texas has a mountainous area too! Would be cool to see that in one of your future vids. Thanks again for sharing your journeys. Be safe out there
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGSexactly people misconceive how far Austin area is from San Antonio. Really useless place to drive so long to. And is as boring as San Antonio but instead it’s vertical, cramped
I’m from Houston but now live in San Antonio. The freeways here terrify me. Between the terrible design, the curves and hills and narrow lanes, and having drivers behind me doing 90 while the ones in front of me are doing 40, I long to be back on the orderly and predictable Katy Freeway.
I am not sure about slavery when Texas was a nation but under statehood the feds forced Texas to illegalize slavery a few years after the civil war ended in what is referred to as Jenuteenth. when driving around Texas you will see historical markers that depict civil war battles. Texas separated from Mexico after the likes of Stephen F Austin, Gen. Sam Houston, Gem. Fredonia and Gen. Rusk out in Nacogdoches got mad at Mexico for their behavior towards them. Because Texas took over land that was Mexico, Spanish became a legal language in Texas. After Texas joined the US, the US went to war with Mexico in the Mexican American war in which the US took possession of most of the SW US right before the gold rush of 1849. Still till this day there is an American military cemetery in Mexico DF that was a result of the Mexican American war. Lots of history between both countries be it good or bad. Once you get to Loredo it is only about a 12 hour drive to Mexico DF. Maybe one day you could drive into Mexico and do some exploring on over there. I hear it can be dangerous down there but there has got to be a way to make it safer.
I tell you what you drive just like the San Antonio drivers. That was a bold line you just crossed over and I’m sure the other guy couldn’t hear you say I’m sorry
Canadians, Mexicans, and US Citizens are all Americans. We all live on the continent of North America. California, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and Texas were all a part of Mexico, before the Vikings explored America before Columbus .
The older ones had a cowboy on the bottom middle with the state name in red letters then after similar ones but without the cowboy and space shuttle. Then came these plain white ones which look boring to me but on some cars they look alright
That's not why Texas banned slavery, because "Texas" did not, Mexico did. Mexico did it nationwide because it wasn't about what was happening in Texas, and it was for moral reasons as well...your argument fails since Mexico or the North USA could have very well also had slaves. It was ultimately just the moral depravity of Southern Anglo Americans that kept slavery for as long as it existed. Many abolitionist were pointing out the moral wrong that was slavery for many years prior to the civil war.
I have lived here for 60 years. This is a low pay high price city. Contrary to popular beliefs there are way to many very poor people living here with no hope to ever make it out of poverty. And the politics of this town have always And I mean always been full of graft and corruption. There are just a few families here that make it And the rest are completely shut out. Very little has been done to even any chance of that ever changing. And as far as job's wages are always among the lowest in the country. The schools are ok at best. It's also a town of hotels And models full of people who like to stay a night or two and eat a lot of Mexican food but not live here. Most of those people just see the fun tourist side that the city has made from the locals tax Base and not even close to the real San Antonio which is unfortunately full of crime and drug's And Strong arming police and unbelievably high drug overdose rates and high priced housing and lack of quility Day Care and if you ain't got it you'll never get it type of Town.
