Dam I miss those teams.. even though we got beat bad by the cardinals in 05 and 06 at least the padres were competitive and actually fighting to get in the playoffs unlike now where it seems they are 20 games back every year. That's always been the problem for both the padres and chargers once our teams start to get good ownership tears the team apart. The ownerships for both teams have never been committed to winning championships and keeping real players long term that's why our sports teams
It might be a good thing to let Adrian go. We never really had at least another big time slugger similar to him to make our offense more threatening. It's good to have more evenly distributed offensive players, and I believe the moves Hoyer has made so far will provide just that.
