Would be cool if you do Oakland area. It's such a viable alternative in this crazy crisis but since it's newly gentrified, I mean developed* there's very little reviews on it. Particularly the uptown area. Thx for reading!
@@cMontblanc I want to compare oakland vs the Mission!! Also, is it possible that due to more transportation available in the Mission, the crime rate is proportionally slightly up versus the other neighborhoods?
I lived in the Mission about 50 years ago. I made up a ditty: It's always sunny in the Mission. It's always sunny in my neighborhood. It's always sunny in the Mission. That's why everybody feels so good.
Dont waste your money especially not in the mission district, the mission district has several homecides, high crime rate and its home to the norteños and the sureños gangs and is full of garbage and broken glass
Your videos are awesome and I'm jelly. I wish you posted more. I've visited SF 3 times now. 3 awesome trips everytime. I'm studying CS so I can actually afford to live there in 3-4 years. I'm beyond excited
The mission has the most sun. It can be sunny when other parts of the city is not. Just above the mission is Noe Valley and that has less crime, and with that higher prices but easy access to Mission, plus 24th street and church with its own stores and easy access to Castro for those interested by a bus on Divisidero as well as acess by J Church train.
Like your SF vids. Basically you're the only SF vlogger that doesnt whinge or moan or speak with an incredible irritating valley girl accent. Right on.
LOL Back in 1985, Hayes Valley was such a ghetto that even the SFPD was reluctant to enter that 'hood. Now it's hip and chic; I think it was the 10/89 quake that damaged the Central Freeway and began Hayes Valley's gentrification.
Great videos of hiking and city exploring ,Rian. My girlfriend and I actually live right next to Devils Teeth Baking Company! Let me know if you guys ever need some city tour guides.
Im so glad I lived there in the 1980s when a high rent was $650 a month. I lived in the Tenderloin, when I first arrived, then Mission and finally Noe Valley... Hayes valley is just The Castro without all the madness, but when I heard $3550 a Month I really laughed.. are you folks insane.
Almost every bit of your "Lower Pacific Heights" footage was north of California street; i..e. in "Pacific Heights" itself - not lower pac heights at all.
You should do one on Soma district and it's nightlife since most of the good clubs are in that area. I lived in SF 14yrs ago in the Inner Sunset and then Lower Haight. Mission was not as safe for a white guy back then ,and neither was Tenderloin. I'll be visiting SF again in a month and will definitely be checking out Hayes area and maybe Mission since it's changed from what I remember. Thanks for the video
Dang! SF is expensive!!! No wonder making $117k is considered low income in SF. Eekk!!! Btw.... please more shots of Marianne and less of Rian. Thx! Lol.
I was born and raised in the Mission District. It pains me to see it so gentrified. The culture in SF is being destroyed. In 30 years SF will be nothing but tech nerds and hipsters.
Right why most had to move to Oakland makefire stole our building and .made me move after 8years new management came in and treated all us old tenants like trash and said the new common area was for tech kids only
