Check out the only legal mountain and cross bike trail network in San Fransisco: McLaren Park. McLaren Park was the site of the first ever mountain bike race in San Francisco on 7 Sep 2013. On September 7th, 2013, the SF Urban Riders are putting on SF's First Mountain Bike Race- the SF MTB Festival. A fundraiser for the McLaren Bike Park, it promises to be a good time, with the feature event being a short track race on a two mile loop. We rode the loop last weekend and managed to piece together a brief edit of the course. The course only utilizes part of the multi-use trail system, with trail work ongoing to improve the rider experience currently underway.
