The housing market in San Mateo is starting to balance out.
For single-family homes, prices have gone down a bit, and there are more homes for sale compared to last year. Even though prices are slightly lower, homes are selling faster, and sellers are still getting close to what they ask for, showing demand is still strong.
In the condo market, there are a lot more options for buyers now, with a big jump in inventory. Prices for condos have dropped, especially the median price, which might mean more affordable places are being sold. Condos are also selling quicker than last year, which suggests people are still interested despite more choices.
Overall, the market for both single-family homes and condos is still healthy, but things are leveling out. Buyers have more options, especially with condos, and sellers are getting a little less for their homes than before, but they’re still selling fast. It’s becoming a more balanced situation between buyers and sellers.
