Master Yap Boh Heong demonstrates how one of the movements practiced in the San Zhan 三戦 form can generate internal power and its effects on a partner when used in application. The video was filmed earlier this year, inside my home in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The official online course of Master Yap Boh Heong is now live and available on The Martial Man website. The comprehensive instruction provided for Yan Shou Gong sets 1-6 in this course is ideal for martial artists who want to study an authentic Nei Gong system/internal art. So basically when the guy does his pulse the force goes to the ground and then travels back to the hand in an instant. The guy on which it is done has been caught of guard and cannot react the same. Why he jumps I don't know.. maybe to not fall. But it's a simpel matter and can even be explained. Now when there is not touch that's when it gets really woowwooo

someone who never experimented such internal stuff can find that overplayed by the student.
@davidbarnwell_virtual_clas6729
I don't know...this looks a lot like no touch Aikido. How does a simple shake of the body lead to that reaction by the student? Also, when would an attacker, essentially, hold your hand like that? I don't want to sound rude or like an MMA Fanboy but I'm not convinced. Sorry about that.
@andson49a
@andson49a Год назад
The only way to find out is to experience it, right? "Experience is the best teacher". It's not about if someone grabs or holds you like that. It's about what this represents. It's about internal power. This demo simply represents what it can do. I've seen Tai chi masters and aikido masters throw around much bigger people almost effortlessly. If everyone in the world was an mma champion then your comment would make sense.

There is power being exerted in ways that aren't seen very clearly. You literally have to feel it. I wouldn't listen to any arrogant naysayers who point a finger amd hurl insults and claims over the internet without respectfully approaching these people to see what they have to offer and what they can learn. From my understanding and my studies in these mechanics of Chinese martial arts,, he can create space in his body and use the spine to flex and use that for kinetic potential. He is stretching the tendons which are highly elastic when trained and the release is very springy. The student is uprooted. This is a transfer exercise. I don't think it's pragmatic for fighting because you can't relax enough but these are high level refined mechanics and very real. Nothing like the no touch garbage. It's not magic to uproot and drive someone. I also personally feel that you would have to fight hundreds of times and spar thousands of hours to relax enough to utilize and then time these releases.
@davidbarnwell_virtual_clas6729
@@Soaring_Hawk I personally feel that nothing I said was arrogant and I would caution you not to direct those kinds of statements towards me. Thank you very much. It there are hidden mechanisms at work then they need to be discussed. Because it is not at all clear how a little quiver can uproot an entire person several feet.
@davidbarnwell_virtual_clas6729
@@andson49a Everyone in the world has mass. Everyone in the world is capable of violence. It is not at all clear how that little movement can produce that effect on even a regular person. It smacks of the no contact aikido nonsense. That's the problem. It smacks of self delusion.

@@davidbarnwell_virtual_clas6729 I wasn't insinuating you were arrogant. I'm referring to the constant screechers. I'm saying don't let the screeching and internet culture obscure your views and kill your curiosity, respectfully.

U can utalise bags kinetic energy to produce greater force by using intention and body mechanics... Swing the bag, block it and use the block force to counter with your strongest punch. Just an idea, im sure it can be done. Im working on that technique. Also, instead of blocking, u can redirect oponent and put them in a position where they are vonerable and open. Use your strong base against their weak base to pervent their ability to absorb damage. Its very usefull to learn this techniques for any martial arts, you get a deeper layer of understanding which translates into your fight iq, it can make your strikes more efficient, stronger, with less force used, it has potential, and to realise that potential takes creativity, practice, understanding, and ultimately effort and persistence

I hate these overplaying people that make the stuff look unrealistic. No way anyone makes one jump backward like that, from a move like that. You know that's why they always demonstrate on their own people because they know they won't make their Master look dumb. Internal Arts like this or that. I call BS on this short, I practice Traditional Kung Fu too and this is too much overplaying the reality. There might be a jolt that gives you the feeling of imbalance but a jump like that.......heeeeelll nooooo
